前記混合物を高温焼成してピッチコーティングされたグラフェンシートを製造する段階を含む二次電池用導電材の製造方法を提供する。
また、本発明は、集電体、及び前記集電体上に塗布された電極活物質層を含む二次電池用負極において、前記電極活物質層は活物質、前記本発明の二次電池用導電材及びバインダーを含む二次電池用負極を提供する。
ピッチ(pitch)コーティングされたグラフェンシートを含む二次電池用導電材を提供する。
純粋グラフェンシートを製造する段階;
前記グラフェンシートと石炭系ピッチを混合する段階; 及び
前記混合物を高温焼成してピッチコーティングされたグラフェンシートを製造する段階を含む二次電池用導電材の製造方法を提供する。
集電体、及び前記集電体上に塗布された電極活物質層を含む二次電池用電極において、
前記電極活物質は、電極活物質11、本発明の導電材13及びバインダー(図示省略)を含む二次電池用電極を提供する(図1参照)。
黒鉛から分離し出した純粋グラフェンシート(90wt%)と石炭系ピッチ(10wt%)を混合した後、空気雰囲気下でピッチの軟化点近傍である250℃で3時間維持し、窒素雰囲気下で1150℃まで2℃/minの速度で温度を昇温させた後、1150℃で5時間の間、焼成して炭化させてピッチコーティングされたグラフェンシートを製造した。
LiCoO2を91重量%、導電材として黒鉛を6重量%、結着剤としてPVdFを3重量%の割合で混合し、N−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP)に分散させて正極用スラリーを製造した。前記スラリーを正極集電体であるアルミニウム箔の一側面に塗布し、乾燥したあとローラープレス機で圧縮成型して正極を製造した。
前記負極導電材として通常のグラフェンシートを利用することを除いては、前記実施例1と同一の方法で負極、正極及びコインフルセルを製造した。
前記負極導電材としてカーボンブラックを利用することを除いては、前記実施例1と同一の方法で負極、正極及びコインフルセルを製造した。
前記実施例1及び比較例1及び2で製造されたコインフルセルを、初期3サイクルを0.1C充電/0.1C放電で進めたあと、97サイクルを1C/1Cで充放電を進めた。このとき、充電はCC−CVモード(0.005C cut off)、放電はCCモードで進めた。充放電電圧(voltage)区間は2.5から4.2Vで進めた。サイクル数による標準容量、すなわち、容量寿命特性の結果を図2に示した。

- 前記ピッチは、二次電池用導電材の全体重量を基準に6から15重量%で含む請求項1または請求項2に記載の二次電池用導電材。
- 前記グラフェンシートは、黒鉛から化学的剥離過程を行って分離し出した単層のグラフェンシートである請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池用導電材。
- 純粋グラフェンシートを製造する段階;

前記混合する段階で混合された混合物を高温焼成してピッチコーティングされたグラフェンシートを製造する段階を含む請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池用導電材の製造方法。 - 前記純粋グラフェンシートは、黒鉛から化学的剥離過程を行って分離し出した単層のグラフェンシートである請求項5に記載の二次電池用導電材の製造方法。
- 前記グラフェンシートは、分離し出したグラフェンシートをAr/H2の混合ガス雰囲気下で熱処理し、グラフェンシート内部の酸素を取り除く段階を含む請求項6に記載の二次電池用導電材の製造方法。
- 前記高温焼成段階は、空気雰囲気下でピッチの軟化点近傍である250℃で3時間維持したあと、窒素雰囲気下で1150℃まで2℃/minの速度で温度を昇温させ、1150℃で5時間の間、焼成して炭化させる段階を含む請求項5から請求項7のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池用導電材の製造方法。
- 集電体、及び前記集電体上に塗布された電極活物質層を含む二次電池用電極において、
前記電極活物質層は前記電極活物質、請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池用導電材及びバインダーを含む二次電池用電極。 - 前記電極活物質は、リチウム含有チタン複合酸化物(LTO)、天然黒鉛、人造黒鉛、膨張黒鉛、炭素繊維、難黒鉛化性炭素、カーボンブラック、カーボンナノチューブ、フラーレン、活性炭、及びリチウムと合金を形成することができる金属(Me)酸化物(MeOx)からなる群より選択される単一物、または2種以上の混合物である請求項9に記載の二次電池用電極。
- 前記電極活物質は、球形化された天然黒鉛である請求項10に記載の二次電池用電極。
- 前記電極活物質は、非晶質コーティングされた球形化された天然黒鉛である請求項11に記載の二次電池用電極。
- 前記導電材は、前記電極活物質の全体重量を基準に1から15重量%で含む請求項9から請求項12のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池用電極。
- 正極、負極、前記正極及び負極の間に介在されたセパレーター及び電解液を含むリチウム二次電池において、
前記正極及び負極のいずれか一つは、請求項9から請求項13のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池用電極を含むリチウム二次電池。
