Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an oxide superconducting wire, and in particular, an oxide superconducting wire is manufactured by covering a tape-shaped oxide superconducting wire body having a stabilization layer formed on the superconducting layer with a copper protective film. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an oxide superconducting wire.
Oxide superconductors are expected to be applied to superconducting magnets, superconducting cables, power equipment and devices because their critical temperature (Tc) exceeds liquid nitrogen temperature (77K), and many research results have been reported. ing. In order to apply the oxide superconductor to the above-mentioned field, a long wire having a high critical current density (Jc) and a high critical current (indicated by Ic, which means superconducting properties together with Jc) is manufactured. There is a need. On the other hand, in order to obtain a long wire, it is necessary to form an oxide superconductor on a metal tape from the viewpoint of strength and flexibility. Further, in order to be usable at a practical level equivalent to metal superconductors such as Nb 3 Sn and Nb 3 Al, a value of Ic of about 500 A / cm (77 K, in a self magnetic field) is required.
As a wire comprising an oxide superconductor satisfying these conditions, the REBa y Cu 3 O z system (RE represents one or more elements selected from Y, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd and Ho, and y ≦ 2 And z = 6.2 to 7 (hereinafter, also referred to as “RE system”).
In this oxide superconducting wire (hereinafter also referred to as “superconducting wire”), since the superconductor crystal is biaxially oriented, the critical current (Ic) is higher than that of a well-known bismuth-based silver sheath wire. Excellent magnetic field characteristics at nitrogen temperature. As a result, the RE-based superconducting wire has an advantage that it can be used in a high temperature state by being applied to a superconducting device currently used at a low temperature near the liquid helium temperature.
In the RE-based superconducting wire, an intermediate layer and a superconducting layer are sequentially formed on a substrate, and a stabilizing layer is formed on the superconducting layer using silver having high conductivity. In this configuration, in order to ensure higher superconducting characteristics (critical current) Ic, it is conceivable to further increase the thickness of the stabilization layer, but silver mainly used as the material of the stabilization layer is Since it is expensive, there is a problem that if the thickness of the silver stabilizing layer is increased, the cost becomes high. Therefore, in superconducting wire, in order to reduce the cost of the silver stabilization layer, copper that is less expensive than silver is used for the substrate laminated to the silver stabilization layer (hereinafter referred to as tape-shaped “wire body”). It is known to reduce the cost of the stabilization layer by forming a layer by copper plating and thickening the conductive layer on the superconducting conductor layer (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In patent document 1, the wire main body which has a superconducting layer is immersed in the copper sulfate aqueous solution accommodated in the container as a plating bath. The surface of the wire body is connected to an external power source, and current passes through the surface and into the solution, causing a reaction with the metal ion electrons (e−) forming copper Cu. As a result, the surface of the wire body (silver stabilization layer) functions as a cathode in the solution, and Cu 2+, which is a metal ion, is reduced to Cu metal atoms and deposited on the surface of the wire body (silver stabilization layer). Is done. Thereby, the copper protective layer is formed in the wire main body. On the other hand, an anode containing copper is placed in solution where an oxidation reaction takes place and copper ions enter the solution to be reduced and deposited at the cathode.
Thus, in the conventional manufacturing method of a superconducting wire having a copper layer, a copper plating layer is formed when a copper protective layer is formed by forming a copper plating layer on a tape-shaped wire main body to be a superconducting wire. Thus, if copper ions are insufficient in the solution, it is conceivable that a replenishing material such as copper phosphate is introduced into the container that accommodates the plating bath, and this is dissolved. Is ionized, Cu powder (for example, copper phosphate Cu 3 (PO 4 ) 2 etc.) is generated and may float in the solution.
Thus, when forming a copper plating layer, when Cu powder floats in a solution, it adheres to the wire main body led out from a container, and there was a problem that a smooth superconducting wire cannot be obtained. In particular, when an electrode is connected to a superconducting wire to which Cu powder is adhered, there is a risk of increasing the contact resistance value.
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and provides a method of manufacturing a superconducting wire that can be manufactured without degrading superconducting characteristics while smoothly covering the superconducting layer with a copper protective layer and reducing costs. FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of a tape of an oxide superconducting wire manufactured by the method of manufacturing an oxide superconducting wire according to one embodiment of the present invention.
An oxide superconducting wire (hereinafter referred to as “superconducting wire”) 10 includes, for example, an

For example, the

The

<Outline of manufacturing method of superconducting wire according to this embodiment>
FIG. 2 is a flowchart for explaining a method of manufacturing a superconducting wire according to an embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 2, in the method of manufacturing the superconducting wire 10 (see FIG. 1), the
In step S2, the
In step S3, the
In step S <b> 4, the copper
The copper protective layer forming step in the present embodiment is performed using a copper protective layer forming apparatus 20 (see FIG. 3).
Specifically, the copper protective layer 15 (see FIG. 1) is formed after the wire
In the copper protective layer forming step (corresponding to the step S4 in FIG. 2), the copper protective
The wire
In the oxide superconducting wire manufacturing system having the copper protective
In the water washing before forming the copper protective layer, the
In addition, the cleaning after forming the copper
FIG. 3 is a diagram schematically showing a main configuration of a copper protective layer forming apparatus for forming a copper protective layer.
The copper protective
The copper protective
In the
In the
As described above, in the copper protective
As a result, the copper reaction layer is formed on the surface of the
The
For example, the
When the copper
The copper
FIG. 4 is a diagram schematically showing a copper protective layer forming step for forming a copper protective layer.
The copper
Here, the
The
Moreover, the
Such a copper
As described above, when the
Thereby, Cu powder does not adhere to the wire
Therefore, the copper
Accordingly, the
The copper
For example, as shown in FIG. 5, the copper

In Example 1, the
When Examples 1-4 and Comparative Example 1 are compared and a copper protective layer is formed by an electroplating method, contact resistance is determined depending on whether or not a bag (filter portion 264) having an opening is used. The values were significantly different, and the contact resistance value (8 μΩ) of Comparative Example 1 was larger than the contact resistance values (0.1 to 0.18 μΩ) of Examples 1 to 5. This is because, when the copper
