Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a technique for suppressing the occurrence of welding defects such as blow holes in a welded part when welding a metal that is a welded body using laser arc hybrid welding.
Laser welding is a technique in which a laser beam is irradiated to a welded portion such as a metal plate as a workpiece to be welded. Because of its characteristics, it is possible to perform precise welding with a narrow welding width, and deep penetration welding is possible. In recent years, with the progress of higher output, higher efficiency, and higher performance of laser devices, application of laser welding / joining methods is rapidly progressing in various industries. In addition, various studies have been made on welding methods such as laser arc hybrid welding.
Patent Document 1 discloses a technique relating to a laser welding method and a laser welding apparatus. In a laser welding method in which welding laser beam A and welding laser beam B are relatively moved along a welded position, the focal positions of welding laser beam A and welding laser beam B are set in the welding depth direction. Weld with vibration. A deformable mirror is used to change the position of the focal point. By changing the position of the focal point of the laser, it is possible to change the energy density to be irradiated and change the melting depth. As a result, a laser welding method that produces a stable keyhole during welding can be realized.
Patent Document 2 discloses a technique related to a laser welding method. In laser welding that performs output modulation, welding is performed by periodically pulsing the laser output at a frequency that matches the natural frequency of the molten pool. As a result, it is possible to effectively prevent the occurrence of welding defects such as porosity, blowholes, and cracks.
However, when deep penetration welding is to be performed on a material to be welded using laser welding, it is difficult to realize suppression of blowhole generation as the depth of the keyhole increases. In the technique disclosed in Patent Document 1, the position of the focal point is changed using a deformable mirror. However, it is considered that an accurate change in focal length using a piezo element involves technical difficulties. The technique disclosed in Patent Document 2 performs pulse modulation to amplify the output of the laser. However, if pulse modulation is performed, there is a concern about a decrease in output. Further, it is considered that there is a technical difficulty in measuring the natural frequency of the molten pool that determines the amplitude of the laser output.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a laser arc hybrid welding method capable of suppressing the occurrence of welding defects such as blowholes in order to solve such problems.
In order to achieve the above object, a laser arc hybrid welding method according to an aspect of the present invention has the following characteristics.
(1) In the laser arc hybrid welding method in which the contact surfaces of the first and second welded bodies are deep penetration welded using arc welding and laser welding, the arc welding and the laser welding are the same. It is characterized in that it is performed on the weld line and the position of the focal point of the laser used for the laser welding is changed with periodicity in the width direction on the contact line formed by the contact surface.
According to the aspect described in (1) above, it is possible to reduce the occurrence of welding defects that occur when laser arc hybrid welding is performed. For example, the position of the focal point of laser welding is moved in the welding direction while vibrating with a predetermined width with respect to the contact line (welding direction) formed by the first and second welded bodies. Thereby, the welding width | variety of laser arc hybrid welding can be made into a fixed width | variety. That is, a weld line having a predetermined width with respect to the contact line is formed.
When performing laser arc hybrid welding, the pulsation (periodic fluctuation in the width direction of the molten pool) as observed in the problem is observed. This has a predetermined periodicity and is considered to have a natural frequency. The applicant considers that a blowhole is formed in the welded part by increasing or decreasing the width of the molten pool formed in the welded body, and the laser used for laser arc hybrid welding so that the width of the molten pool does not increase or decrease. It was assumed that welding was performed by vibrating the position of the focal point of welding in the width direction with respect to the contact line. As a result, the amplitude (fluctuation) of the width of the molten pool can be suppressed and the penetration width can be made constant, and as a result, the formation of blow holes can be suppressed. By suppressing the occurrence of weld defects such as blow holes, solidification cracks can be suppressed.
(2) In the laser arc hybrid welding method according to (1), it is preferable to periodically modulate the output of the laser welding. By periodically modulating the output of laser welding in addition to the change in the position of laser welding, it is possible to more effectively contribute to the suppression of the occurrence of welding defects.
(3) In the laser arc hybrid welding according to (1) or (2), it is preferable that the locus of the optical axis of the laser welding has a waveform. By drawing the waveform of the weld line, it is possible to more effectively contribute to the suppression of the occurrence of welding defects.
First, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, the side surface schematic diagram of the laser
In the laser
The
Since 1st Embodiment is the welding method by the laser arc hybrid welding 100 of the said structure, there exists an effect | action and effect which are shown below.
First, as an effect, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of welding defects such as blow holes. This is because the
FIG. 5 shows a schematic diagram of an embodiment of laser arc hybrid welding prepared for comparison. In FIG. 5, welding is performed without changing the focal position of the laser in the width direction. FIG. 6 shows a schematic perspective cross-sectional view of a welded body welded by the laser arc hybrid welding method of FIG. FIG. 7 shows a cross-sectional view of the welded body. FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA in FIG. In the comparative example, the
図1と図5では、溶融池16の周囲に形成される熱影響層16a(線で表されているが、実際には所定の厚みが形成される)の間隔が異なっている。
Therefore, in the first embodiment, the optical axis trajectories WL of the
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7, assuming that the molten pool is pulsating at a cycle of 3 Hz (three pulsations per second), solidification unevenness occurs in the welded portion, and this results in FIG. A
It has been confirmed that the penetration width change at the time of welding is expressed differently depending on the material of the work piece 10 and has a period peculiar to the material. However, by displacing the focal position of the
That is, by suppressing the generation of stable and large pulsations in the
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. The second embodiment is substantially the same as the configuration of the first embodiment, but the optical axis trajectory WL is different from that shown in FIG. A description will be given below.
FIG. 8 is a schematic diagram showing the locus of laser light according to the second embodiment. In the second embodiment, the positions of the
The reason for this is considered to be that the penetration width (bead width) in the deep part of the
Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. The third embodiment is substantially the same as the configuration of the first embodiment, but differs in that the output of the
In addition to drawing the trajectory of the optical axis trajectory WL as shown in FIG. 4 or FIG. 8, by modulating the output of the
As mentioned above, although embodiment of the laser arc hybrid welding which concerns on this invention was described, this invention is not necessarily limited to this, A various change is possible in the range which does not deviate from the meaning. For convenience of explanation, in the first to third embodiments, the work piece 10 is a butt weld of the
