Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sealing device used in a bearing device that rotatably supports a rotating shaft such as a transporting segment roll of a continuous casting machine.
Conventionally, in a continuous casting machine, steel pieces continuously discharged from a mold are sandwiched by a plurality of pairs of opposed segment rolls and pulled downward, and then bent and transported at right angles while cooling with water. The direction is changed to the horizontal direction. Both ends of the segment roll are supported by a bearing device, and the bearing device is provided with a sealing device.
As the above sealing device, for example,
As shown in FIG. 8A, the above-described
The

Further,
On the other hand, recently, it has been proposed to supply oil air instead of grease as a lubricant in a sealing device used for a conveying segment roll or the like of a continuous casting machine.
However, when oil air is supplied as a lubricant in the
When oil air is supplied into the sealed space S1 as a lubricant, unlike when grease is supplied, the oil is discharged to the outside of the sealed space S1 before it accumulates to the height of the
When the oil level is low, the bearing inner ring and the journal are worn, and an abnormality occurs in the interval between the opposing segment rolls. As a result, the continuous casting machine may stop urgently. Further, since the shaft diameter on the
In the
Further, as shown in FIG. 8B, there is a similar problem when a

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and the position (oil level) of the upper surface of the oil accumulated in the sealed space can be made higher than the upper end of the rotating shaft, thereby lubricating the rolling bearing. It is an object of the present invention to provide a sealing device that can ensure the performance and sufficiently ensure the lubricity of the lip portion of the seal member.
The sealing device of the present invention that solves the above problems includes a bearing case in which a rolling bearing is fitted, and a rotating shaft that is rotatably supported by the bearing case around a horizontal axis via the rolling bearing, and the bearing case. In a sealing device in which an annular space between the two is sealed to form a sealed space, and oil air is continuously supplied to the sealed space.
A first cylindrical portion in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the bearing case, an annular portion extending radially inward from the first cylindrical portion, and extending from the inner periphery of the annular portion to the opposite side of the sealed space. A first lip portion that is in contact with the rotating shaft, and a second lip portion that extends from the inner periphery of the annular portion toward the sealed space and is in contact with the rotating shaft, and is entirely made of an elastic material. A seal portion comprising:
A second cylindrical portion fitted into the bearing case via the first cylindrical portion of the seal portion; and extending radially inward from an end portion of the second cylindrical portion, and in contact with the annular portion of the seal portion A sealing member having a cored bar having an annular part,
The sealing member is formed with a discharge port for discharging oil in the sealed space to the outside of the sealed space in a part of the circumferential direction,
The seal member is arranged such that the discharge port is located above the rotation shaft and at a position away from the rotation shaft.
According to the sealing device of the present invention, a discharge port for discharging the oil accumulated in the sealed space together with air to the outside of the sealed space is formed in a part of the circumferential direction of the seal member, Since the oil air supplied to the sealed space is positioned higher than the upper end of the rotating shaft, the oil air supplied to the sealed space is positioned above the rotating shaft and away from the rotating shaft. It can accumulate in the said sealed space so that it may become. Therefore, in the sealing device, the oil spreads to the seal member having a diameter smaller than that of the roll neck, so that the lubricity of the rolling bearing can be ensured and the lubricity of the lip portion of the seal member can be sufficiently ensured.
In the sealing device according to the aspect of the invention, it is preferable that the discharge port includes a through hole formed in a part of the second lip portion in the circumferential direction.
When the said discharge port is formed in this way, as above-mentioned, the oil level in sealed space can be made into the position above the upper end of a rotating shaft. In addition, the oil discharged from the sealed space passes through the second lip portion, passes between the second lip portion (main lip) and the rotation shaft, and is discharged to the external space. The lubricity of the part can be sufficiently secured.
Further, in the sealing device, as described above, when the discharge port is a through hole formed in a part of the circumferential direction of the second lip portion, the side surface on the sealed space side of the second lip portion is used. And it is preferable that the weir part which protrudes to radial direction outward is provided in the side surface of the front end side from the said through-hole.
In this case, since the oil accumulated in the sealed space needs to pass over the dam and pass through the through hole, the oil level in the sealed space can be maintained at a higher position.
In the sealing device of the present invention, the discharge port includes a through hole formed in communication with a part of the annular portion and the annular portion in the circumferential direction, and is farther from the sealed space than the first lip portion. A third lip portion that is in contact with the rotating shaft on the side, further comprising a second seal portion made entirely of an elastic material, and the oil in the sealed space contains the seal member, the rotating shaft, and the It is also preferable that the gas is discharged to the outside through a closed space surrounded by the second seal portion.
As described above, there is a concern that the lubricity of the first lip portion may be insufficient when the lubricant discharge path is not provided between the rotating shaft and the first lip portion. However, according to the tests by the present inventors, it has been revealed that when the oil / air is supplied as a lubricant, the lubricity of the first lip portion can be sufficiently ensured.
The reason for this is that when oil-air is supplied, the internal pressure in the closed space can be maintained higher than when grease is supplied, and the oil is more fluid than grease. It is presumed that the oil discharged from the space into the closed space can enter between the first lip portion and the rotating shaft.
Thus, in the sealing device of the present invention that supplies oil air as a lubricant, the oil level can be increased and the first lip can be formed even when the discharge port is formed so as to pass through the annular portion and the annular portion. The lubricity of the part (main lip) can be sufficiently secured.
According to the sealing device of the present invention, oil can be stored up to a position higher than the upper end of the rotating shaft in the sealed space, and therefore, sufficient lubricity of the rolling bearing and the lip portion can be ensured.

The
According to the sealing device A according to the first embodiment, oil in the sealed space S1 can be discharged to the external space S2 through the through
In the sealing device A, since the second lip portion (auxiliary lip) 13 of the
Therefore, in the sealing device A, after the oil is accumulated up to the position of the lower end of the opening of the through
Further, as described above, the oil accumulated in the sealed space S1 passes between the
A
Further, since the oil level L in the sealed space is located at a position higher than the upper end of the

Hereinafter, the structure different from the sealing device A according to the first embodiment of the sealing device B according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described.
FIG. 4 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the

The

As shown in FIG. 4, the
A plurality of through-
In the sealing device according to the present embodiment, the number of through holes formed in the second lip portion is arbitrary and is not limited to three. The number of the through holes is preferably about 3 to 6.
Furthermore, in the

Further, the
In the sealing device B according to the second embodiment, as in the sealing device B according to the first embodiment, the oil in the sealed space S1 is discharged to the external space S2 through the through
Therefore, in the sealing device B, after the oil accumulated in the sealed space S1 gets over the weir portion, the oil, together with the air, the through
In the sealing device B, as in the sealing device A, the second lip portion (auxiliary lip) 113 of the

[Third Embodiment]
Hereinafter, the structure different from the sealing device A according to the first embodiment of the sealing device C according to the third embodiment of the present invention will be described.
FIG. 6 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the

On the other hand, in the sealing device C of the present embodiment, no through hole is formed in the
Further, the
In the sealing device C according to the third embodiment, oil in the sealed space S1 can be discharged to the external space S2 through the through
In the sealing device C, since the second lip portion (auxiliary lip) 213 of the
Therefore, in the sealing device C, the oil is discharged to the outside after the oil has accumulated up to the position of the lower end of the opening on the sealed space S1 side of the through
Further, in the sealing device C, the oil is discharged through the above-described path, so that the oil passes through the closed space S3 and the first lip portion (main lip) 214 and the
Therefore, there is a concern that the lubricity of the first lip portion (main lip) is insufficient, and wear of the first lip portion is likely to proceed.
However, in the sealing device C, oil air is supplied as a lubricant, and the oil has higher fluidity than grease, and when oil air is supplied as a lubricant, the oil in the closed section S4 is larger than when grease is supplied. The internal pressure can be kept high. Therefore, the oil discharged from the sealed space S <b> 1 to the closed section S <b> 4 enters between the
Further, the biasing force of the
Further, like the sealing device A, the sealing device C can also ensure the lubricity of the lip portion of the
