Abstract
Description
酸素生成: 2KO2+H2O → 2KOH+1.5O2
2KO2+CO2 → K2CO3+1.5O2
二酸化炭素除去:2KOH+CO2 → K2CO3+H2O
KOH+CO2 → KHCO3
再生された酸素ガスは、吸気ダクト60を通過し、フード20のメインコンパートメントすなわち呼吸チャンバ30に入る。ネックシール膜25より上の内部フード容積は呼吸チャンバ30として機能する。使用者が吸気すると、一方向吸気弁55によって、再生ガスが口鼻マウスピース45に入り、使用者の気道に移動する。この呼吸サイクルは、KO2キャニスタ62が消耗するまで継続するであろう。
2NaClO3+熱 → 2NaCl+3O2
小型の塩素酸塩キャンドル70(起動キャンドル)は、塩素酸ナトリウムの化学分解により約8Lの酸素を生成する。このキャンドル70は、KO2キャニスタ62の底部に取り付けられる。使用者が、その顔面に対して口鼻マウスピースをぴんと張るストラップ90を調節すると、引き綱80によって自動的に移動する放出ピン75が引っ張られて起動キャンドル65が好適に始動する。起動キャンドル70のガスは、呼気が呼気ダクト50からキャニスタに入る側のKO2キャニスタ62に流入する。起動キャンドル70からの酸素の一部は、呼気ダクトの初期充填に使用されるが、その大部分は、KO2キャニスタ62を通過して、フード20のメインコンパートメント30を満たす。
Claims (20)
- バイザーと自給式酸素源とを有するフードと、
使用者に対して、呼吸装置が正常に機能していることを示し、さらに前記呼吸装置の有用な作動時間の終わりが接近していることも示す、前記フード内の内部インジケータと、を備えることを特徴とする呼吸装置。 - 前記自給式酸素源は、含有KO2(超酸化カリウム)を含むキャニスタと、NaClO3を用いた酸素生成を活性化する起動キャンドルと、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の呼吸装置。
- 前記酸素は二酸化炭素と混合されることを特徴とする請求項1の呼吸装置。
- 前記内部インジケータは、酸素または二酸化炭素レベルの変化に自動的に応答することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の呼吸装置。
- 前記内部インジケータは、酸素または二酸化炭素との化学反応によって始動されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の呼吸装置。
- 着用者の頭部を被覆する、バイザーを含むフードと、
前記フードをシールしてその内部に呼吸チャンバを形成する膜と、
前記フード内に配置された酸素源と、
使用者の呼気二酸化炭素を前記酸素源に移動させる前記フード内部の導管と、
前記フード内のガスと反応し、前記フード内の前記ガスの量に基づいて前記使用者に視覚的なフィードバックを提供する、前記フード内部の視覚的インジケータと、を備えることを特徴とする自給式呼吸装置。 - 前記酸素源は、塩素酸塩キャンドルによって起動されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記塩素酸塩キャンドルは、ピンを引っ張ることにより始動することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記ピンは、前記自給式呼吸装置を使用者に適合させることにより自動的に引っ張られることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記視覚的インジケータは、前記使用者の視野内の、前記フードの内表面に貼付された薄膜であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記薄膜は、金属酸化物の触媒化薄膜を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記薄膜は、半導体の水分散液、犠牲的電子供与体、酸化還元指示染料の水溶液および封入ポリマーを含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記視覚的インジケータは、前記フード内の酸素レベルと反応して文字で示すことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記視覚的インジケータは、前記フード内部のガス濃度に対応したスケール上の値を示すことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記ガスは酸素であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記ガスは二酸化炭素であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記視覚的インジケータは、紫外線感受性であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記インジケータは、前記フード内のガス濃度の変化に応じて色を変えることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記インジケータは、前記フード内の二酸化炭素のパーセントを検出し視覚的に表示することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
- 前記インジケータは、前記フード内の酸素のパーセントを検出し視覚的に表示することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の自給式呼吸装置。
