Abstract
Description
Embodiments described herein relate generally to a light emitting device.
If a light-emitting device using a light-emitting element and a phosphor is used, various colors of light emission can be obtained by combining the type of light-emitting element as an excitation light source and the type of phosphor.
For example, white light can be obtained by combining a light emitting element that emits blue light (for example, a blue light emitting diode) and a phosphor that emits light of a color complementary to blue.
In light-emitting devices that emit white light, a technique has been proposed in which a layer including a phosphor that emits yellow light and a layer that includes a phosphor that emits red light are stacked.
However, when a plurality of types of phosphors are used, unintentional light absorption may occur in the phosphors, and the light emission efficiency may not be improved.
Therefore, development of a light emitting device capable of improving the light emission efficiency has been desired.
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a light emitting device capable of improving the light emission efficiency.
A light emitting device according to an embodiment includes a light emitting element, a first phosphor that is provided on the light emitting element and emits light having a peak wavelength in a wavelength range of 500 nm to 555 nm, and a wavelength of 560 nm to 580 nm. A first wavelength converter having at least one of second phosphors that emit light having a peak wavelength in a wavelength region; and a wavelength region of 600 nm to 670 nm that is provided on the first wavelength converter. And a second wavelength converter having a third phosphor that emits light having a peak wavelength and has an excitation spectrum in a wavelength region of 510 nm or less.

The thickness of the
