Abstract
Description
The present invention is a vibration-damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive capable of exhibiting high adhesiveness in a low temperature environment, high creep resistance in a high temperature environment, and high vibration suppression properties in a wide temperature environment from low temperature to high temperature, And a vibration damping material using the same.
In recent years, devices used for automobiles, electrical / electronic devices, home appliances, and the like have been rapidly reduced in size and capacity. However, along with downsizing and increasing capacity, the device is likely to generate vibration and noise accompanying this vibration during operation. Therefore, vibration and noise are reduced by attaching a damping sheet to the vibration component in the apparatus.
Such a vibration damping sheet has a constraining base material such as a metal plate, and an adhesive layer laminated and integrated on one surface of the constraining base material. Vibration energy can be absorbed or attenuated by the adhesive layer. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed of a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing rubber or elastomer. Such a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition has high pressure-sensitive adhesiveness in a low-temperature environment, high creep resistance in a high-temperature environment, and low to high temperatures. It is required to be able to exhibit high vibration damping properties under a wide temperature environment. Various adhesive compositions have been conventionally known.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing butyl rubber and a styrene / elastomer block copolymer having a glass transition temperature of 0 ° C. or higher.
Further, in the prior art document 2, an adhesive composition containing an acrylic copolymer and a hindered phenol compound is disclosed.
On the other hand, a hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive exhibits fluidity by being heated and melted, and can exhibit pressure-sensitive adhesiveness by being cooled and solidified after melting. Therefore, it can exhibit pressure-sensitive adhesive properties in a short time. Furthermore, since the hot melt adhesive does not require a solvent, it is excellent in work environment and safety. Therefore, the use of a hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive is required for forming the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the vibration damping sheet.
However, the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of Patent Document 1 cannot be used as a hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive because it uses a high molecular weight polymer such as butyl rubber or a styrene / elastomer block copolymer. Furthermore, in the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of Patent Document 1, no consideration is given to adhesiveness and vibration damping properties at low temperatures.
In addition, the adhesive composition of Patent Document 2 also requires a solvent for coating and cannot be used as a hot melt adhesive.
Therefore, the present invention provides a vibration-damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive capable of exhibiting high adhesiveness in a low temperature environment, high creep resistance in a high temperature environment, and high vibration suppression properties in a wide temperature environment from low temperature to high temperature. An object is to provide an agent and a vibration damping material using the same.
The vibration-damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive of the present invention contains 100 parts by weight of a (meth) acrylic block copolymer and 5 to 50 parts by weight of a tackifier.

(Glass transition point 45 ° C.). Of these, a methyl methacrylate homopolymer block (glass transition point 105 ° C.) is preferable.
In the case where the methyl methacrylate polymer block is a copolymer block of methyl methacrylate and another monomer, it is preferable that the methyl methacrylate polymer block is composed mainly of repeating units. Specifically, the content of methyl methacrylate units in the methyl methacrylate polymer block is preferably 80% by weight or more. According to the methyl methacrylate polymer block having a methyl methacrylate unit content of 80% by weight or more, the creep resistance of the vibration damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive in a high temperature environment can be improved.
80 degreeC or more is preferable and, as for the glass transition point of the block shown by [a], 100-120 degreeC is more preferable. By setting the glass transition point of the block represented by [a] to 80 ° C. or higher, the creep resistance of the vibration damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive in a high temperature environment can be further improved.
The block represented by [b] is an alkyl (meth) acrylate polymer block in which the alkyl group has 2 to 12 carbon atoms. As the block represented by [b], an n-butyl acrylate homopolymer block (glass transition point -54 ° C) and a 2-ethylhexyl acrylate homopolymer block (glass transition point -70 ° C) are particularly preferable.
The glass transition point of the block represented by [b] is -80 to -30 ° C, preferably -75 to -50 ° C. By setting the glass transition point of the block represented by [b] to −80 ° C. or higher, the creep resistance of the vibration damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive in a high temperature environment can be further improved. On the other hand, by setting the glass transition point of the block represented by [b] to −30 ° C. or less, the cured product of the vibration damping hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive is reduced from becoming too hard. Higher adhesiveness and vibration damping properties of the agent can be ensured.
The glass transition point (Tg) of the polymer block in the (meth) acrylic block copolymer is the glass transition point of the homopolymer of each monomer constituting the polymer block and the content ratio of the monomer (weight fraction). This is a value obtained from the Fox equation based on the rate. As the glass transition point of the homopolymer, for example, the glass transition point described in “Adhesion Technology Handbook” of Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun can be adopted.
The content of the block represented by [a] in the (meth) acrylic block copolymer is 10 to 20% by weight, and preferably 12 to 18% by weight. Moreover, content of the block shown by [b] in a (meth) acrylic-type block copolymer is 80 to 90 weight%, and 82 to 88 weight% is preferable. By making the content of the block represented by [a] 20% by weight or less, the cured product of the vibration damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive is reduced to be too hard. High adhesion and vibration control can be secured. On the other hand, when the content of the block represented by [a] is 10% by weight or more, the creep resistance of the vibration-damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive in a high temperature environment can be further improved.
In addition, the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the (meth) acrylic block copolymer is preferably 50,000 to 300,000, more preferably 80,000 to 250,000, and particularly preferably 100,000 to 250,000. preferable. By setting the weight average molecular weight to 50,000 or more, it is possible to ensure better creep resistance of the vibration damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive in a high temperature environment. Further, by setting the weight average molecular weight to 300,000 or less, it is possible to ensure better coatability of the vibration-damping hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive.
In the present invention, the weight average molecular weight of the (meth) acrylic block copolymer can be measured by conversion with polystyrene using gel permeation chromatography (GPC). By cutting this laminated sheet, a rectangular sheet piece (width 25 mm × length 250 mm) was obtained. After the sheet piece is curved in a loop shape with the adhesive layer on the outside, the both ends of the sheet piece are overlapped in a bellows shape, and the overlapped both ends are fixed with clips to make a loop-shaped test. A piece (long diameter 120 mm, circumferential length 200 mm) was produced.

And the part which curved the test piece to the circular arc shape was pressed against the SUS board until the major axis became 50 mm, and the adhesive layer was crimped | bonded to the SUS board. After maintaining this pressure-bonded state for 10 seconds, the test piece was peeled off from the SUS plate, and the peel strength [N / 25 mm] at this time was measured. The results are shown in the column of “Adhesiveness at −5 ° C.” in Table 1. In Table 1, “◎”, “◯”, and “×” are as follows.
A: The peel strength was 0.5 N / 25 mm or more.

Next, a 25 mm length portion from one end in the length direction of the test piece is placed on a SUS plate, and a roller (weight 2 kg) is reciprocated once on this portion, thereby removing the adhesive layer. It was made to stick to a SUS board. After 20 minutes from the pasting, the test piece was suspended from the lower end of the SUS plate with the surface of the SUS plate vertical so that the length direction of the test piece was vertical. Then, under a temperature environment of 50 ° C., a 1 kg weight is hung on the other end in the length direction of the test piece hanging from the SUS plate, and 60 minutes after the weight is hung, it is attached to the SUS plate. The moving distance [mm] at which one end of the test piece rubbed downward was measured. The results are shown in the column of “Creep resistance at 50 ° C.” in Table 1. In Table 1, “◎”, “◯”, “Δ”, and “×” are as follows.
A: The moving distance was less than 0.1 mm.
A: The moving distance was 0.1 mm or more and less than 10 mm.
(Triangle | delta): The moving distance was 10 mm or more and less than 25 mm.
X: The test piece dropped and the moving distance could not be measured.
(Vibration control in a temperature environment from low temperature to high temperature)
A release polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film (thickness 50 μm) subjected to silicone release treatment was prepared. The hot melt adhesive was heated to 160 ° C. and melted. The melted hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive was applied to one surface of the release PET film and then cooled and solidified, thereby obtaining a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (thickness 1 mm). Next, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was peeled off from the release PET film, and this pressure-sensitive adhesive layer was cut to obtain a square test piece (width 10 mm × length 10 mm). About this test piece, using a viscoelasticity measuring device (product name “AR-G2 rheometer” manufactured by TA Instruments Co., Ltd.) under a temperature environment of −5 ° C., 25 ° C., or 50 ° C., the loss at a frequency of 1 Hz Tangent (tan δ) was measured. The results are shown in the “loss tangent (tan δ)” column of Table 1.
