Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle body structure, and more particularly to a vehicle undercover structure that reduces air resistance of a vehicle and blocks noise radiated from an engine or the like.
It is known that in a vehicle, if there is a protruding part, a depression, a gap, etc. in the vehicle body, the airflow flowing through the part is disturbed, the driving resistance of the vehicle increases, and the driving fuel consumption of the vehicle is affected. ing.
The turbulence of the airflow generated in the vehicle is similarly generated under the floor of the vehicle.
That is, various devices for driving the vehicle, such as an engine, a transmission, and an exhaust pipe, are arranged under the floor of the vehicle. When the traveling wind directly hits these devices, the traveling resistance increases.
Further, it is known that the air resistance during traveling can be reduced by mounting an under cover having a smooth surface in order to shield the noise dissipated from the engine in the vehicle.
However, since the engine, transmission, exhaust pipe, etc. generate heat, it is necessary to dissipate the heat and cool it.
By installing the under cover, traveling wind does not directly hit these devices, and thus there is a problem in that the cooling efficiency of these devices decreases.
According to
In this way, the traveling wind is passed through the air guide path formed in the vehicle undercover that gradually expands from the front of the vehicle body to the outlet from which the cooling air introduced into the vehicle body is discharged. By guiding, the cooling air ejected in the road surface direction can be guided to the rear of the vehicle body.
As a result, it is a technique that can reduce the air resistance due to the cooling air discharged from the discharge port and can effectively cool the exhaust pipe disposed in the discharge port.
According to
Therefore, the high-temperature airflow that has passed through the radiator can be effective for cooling the exhaust pipe having a particularly high temperature, but it is sufficient for various devices using transmissions and other electronic elements. There is a problem that the cooling effect cannot be obtained.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of the technical problem, the present invention provides a vehicle undercover that improves the durability of various devices and reduces the driving air resistance by reducing the driving air resistance by directly cooling the devices with outside air. The purpose is to provide a structure.
In order to solve such a problem, the present invention is provided with a front under cover on the front side of the front wheel and a rear under cover continuously extending to the rear wheel side of the front under cover. Vehicle undercover structure,
The front under cover has a first outside air intake port for taking outside air into a front end portion of the front under cover,
The rear under cover has a second outside air inlet provided at a front end portion of the rear under cover, and an inclined surface portion for flowing outside air taken in from the second outside air inlet upward in the vehicle. It is possible to provide a vehicle undercover structure characterized by the above.
According to this invention, since the outside air different from the air that has passed through the radiator is introduced from the second outside air intake port of the rear undercover, the retention of the air in the undercover is prevented and the second outside air intake is prevented. By lowering the air temperature in the under cover by the outside air taken in from the inlet, it is possible to promote the cooling of the engine mounting parts and the transmission, and to improve the durability of these parts.
Furthermore, since the inclined surface portion inclined upwards of the vehicle is provided, the outside air taken in from the second outside air inlet flows upward along the inclined surface portion, so a transmission and an electronic element, etc., located behind the inclined surface portion are used. It is possible to effectively cool the various devices that are being used, and to obtain these durability improvement effects.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the inclined surface portion be disposed in the vicinity of the rear of the cross member portion constituting the chassis frame of the vehicle located at the rear portion in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the engine mounted on the vehicle. .
With such a configuration, the inclined surface portion is arranged in the vicinity of the rear of the cross member portion located at the rear of the engine, so that the outside air taken in from the second outside air intake port flows toward the transmission.
Therefore, the cooling effect for various devices using the transmission and the electronic elements is further improved, and the durability improvement effect of the various devices using the transmission and the electronic elements is obtained.
Preferably, in the present invention, the rear under cover includes a mounting seat that protrudes upward toward the cross member and is attached to the lower surface of the cross member, and is provided between the lower surface of the cross member and the rear under cover. It is advisable to provide a gap on the surface.
With such a configuration, a gap is provided between the rear under cover and the lower surface of the cross member, so that the outside air taken in from the second outside air intake port is attached to the cross member and the rear under cover. Can be prevented from damming, and the flow of airflow in the rear under cover is improved.
In the present invention, it is preferable that a guide fin for guiding outside air taken in from the second outside air intake port to the vehicle rear side is disposed at a front end portion of the cross member in the vehicle front-rear direction.
With such a configuration, the flow resistance in the under cover of the outside air taken in from the second outside air intake port is reduced by arranging the guide fin leading to the vehicle rear side at the front end portion of the cross member. 2 The cooling effect by the outside air taken in from the outside air inlet is improved.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the rear under cover includes a rectifying surface portion continuous with a rear end of the inclined surface portion, and the rectifying surface portion is disposed so as to cover a lower portion of a transmission disposed behind the engine. It is good to have.
With this configuration, the airflow flowing in the rear under cover is guided to the transmission side by the fins and the inclined surface portion, and the airflow is rectified by the rectifying surface portion, thereby reducing the flow resistance of the airflow, The cooling effect of various devices using electronic elements or the like can be improved.
In the present invention, preferably, the front under cover is made of sheet metal, and the rear under cover is made of resin.
With this configuration, even when an obstacle collides with the front overhang part when the SUV enters rough terrain or during running on rough terrain, the front under cover is made of sheet metal. Protects the equipment on the vehicle side, and even if it is deformed, it is easy to correct.
In addition, the rear under cover requires a function to block engine and transmission noise and to direct outside air to the transmission and electronic elements, etc. By making it from resin, it has excellent moldability and can reduce weight. .
According to such an invention, an under cover structure for a vehicle that improves durability of various devices and improves running fuel efficiency by reducing running air resistance by directly cooling the devices with outside air is provided. Can do.

本実施形態においては、前輪および後輪が駆動されるSUV(Sport Utility Vehicle;スポーツ用多目的車)を例にして説明する。

In addition, as described above, the reason why the inclination angle θ of the second
Therefore, the test was carried out at a constant inclination angle θ = 16 °, which is in the vicinity of the air flow separation allowable limit value on the road surface side of the second
