Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an automotive part comprising a polyacetal homopolymer resin composition.
Polyacetal resin has high mechanical strength and rigidity, is excellent in oil resistance and organic solvent resistance, has a good balance of physical properties in a wide temperature range, and has good workability. As plastics, it is widely used for OA equipment, digital home appliances, automobile parts, and other industrial parts.
However, when polyacetal resin is used in automobile interior parts and mechanism parts (hereinafter also referred to as “automobile interior / mechanism parts”), formaldehyde may be generated in the interior of the automobile. On the other hand, in recent years, self-regulation by automakers and auto parts suppliers has demanded suppression of formaldehyde generation in automobile cabins.
In order to meet the demand for suppressing the generation of formaldehyde, a method of adding guanamine and a hydrazide compound to a polyacetal resin (for example, see Patent Documents 1 and 5), a method of adding a carboxylic acid hydrazide compound (for example,
On the other hand, in automobile interior / mechanism parts, high molecular weight type polyacetal homopolymers are generally used for parts that are subjected to high loads over a long period of time, or parts that require high impact characteristics due to, for example, automobile collision. Polymer resin is used, and in particular, in a part that always operates under a high load, grease may be applied to a part of polyacetal homopolymer resin in order to reduce sliding resistance.
However, a polyacetal homopolymer resin may cause deterioration in mechanical properties, particularly toughness and impact resistance, due to a decrease in molecular weight in an environment where grease is in contact for a long time at a high temperature.
Therefore, when automobile interior / mechanical parts made of high molecular weight type polyacetal homopolymer resin are used for a long time in such an environment, the toughness and impact resistance may be lowered. In a gear to which torque is applied, problems such as a decrease in durability time are expected to occur.
In other words, from the above, in automobile interiors and mechanism parts using high molecular weight type polyacetal homopolymer, the mechanical properties are reduced even when the formaldehyde generation amount is suppressed and the grease is contacted with grease for a long time in a high temperature atmosphere. There is a demand for a material that can prevent deterioration of the material and can maintain toughness and impact resistance over a long period of time.
In addition, polyacetal resin tends to generate formaldehyde gas due to partial decomposition of the resin during injection molding, and mold deposit (hereinafter referred to as MD) due to accumulation of additives in the mold. It has been known.
In particular, polyacetal homopolymers tend to break the main chain of their molecular structure due to heat compared to copolymers, and in particular, high molecular weight type polyacetal homopolymers have high viscosity during injection molding, and therefore are used for plasticizing cylinders. Shear heat generation tends to occur during the rotation of the resin or during the flow of the resin in the mold, and the polyacetal homopolymer tends to decompose and formaldehyde tends to be generated at high temperatures. Therefore, it is effective to add a compound that suppresses the generation of formaldehyde (generally also referred to as “form catcher”), but some compounds may accumulate as MD itself.
In Patent Documents 1 to 8, the suppression of formaldehyde generation in the copolymer has been studied, but the homopolymer has not been studied, and the resin composition using the polyacetal homopolymer and the molded product thereof have a high temperature. Sufficient characteristics have not yet been obtained with respect to toughness and impact resistance in an environment where the grease is in contact with grease for a long time in the atmosphere, and durability of a gear or the like loaded with high torque.
Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, in the present invention, the amount of formaldehyde generated can be suppressed, and even when it is used for a long time in a high temperature environment in contact with grease, a decrease in impact resistance is suppressed. An object of the present invention is to provide an automotive part using a polyacetal homopolymer resin composition that is capable of suppressing the occurrence of MD during molding.

Polyacetal homopolymer: 100 parts by mass;
Hydrazide compound: 0.01 to 5 parts by mass;
Containing,
Polyacetal homopolymer resin composition having a formaldehyde generation amount of 2 ppm or less and an MFR of 1.0 to 3.0 g / 10 min in a VDA275 test (Verband der Automobilindustrie eV standard) at a molding temperature of 200 ° C. It is an automotive part consisting of
The automobile parts include both automobile interior parts and automobile mechanism parts, and examples thereof include doors, sunroofs, seat belts, switches, clips, seats, and wipers.
Hereinafter, the polyacetal homopolymer resin composition used for the automotive part of the present embodiment will be described.
(Polyacetal homopolymer resin composition)
The polyacetal homopolymer resin composition used in this embodiment has a formaldehyde generation amount of 2 ppm or less in a VDA275 test at a molding temperature of 200 ° C., an MFR of 1.0 to 3.0 g / 10 min, and a polyacetal. It consists of 100 parts by mass of a homopolymer and 0.01 to 5 parts by mass of a hydrazide compound.
When the MFR of the polyacetal homopolymer resin composition is less than 1.0 g / 10 min, it becomes difficult to produce a stable molded product, and thus the amount of formaldehyde gas generated may not be stable. If the MFR is greater than 3.0 g / 10 min, a stable molded product can be obtained, but it may be difficult to maintain the high impact characteristics and durability required for automobile parts.
In addition, MFR is the value measured on condition of 190 degreeC and 2169g according to ASTM-D1238.
<Polyacetal homopolymer>
The polyacetal homopolymer constituting the polyacetal homopolymer resin composition is a polymer having an oxymethylene group in the main chain and both ends of the polymer chain blocked with an ester group or an ether group. It is a polymer obtained by polymerization using only formaldehyde.
The polyacetal homopolymer can be produced by a polymerization process, a terminal stabilization process, and a finishing process described later.
[Polymerization process]
The polymerization of the polyacetal homopolymer can be carried out using a known slurry polymerization method (for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 47-6420 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 47-10059). By polymerization, a crude polyacetal whose terminal is not stabilized can be obtained.
As the main raw material monomer (main monomer), formaldehyde gas that is purified and has a low impurity concentration and is stable is used in order to continuously obtain a resin having a stable molecular weight.
As a method for purifying formaldehyde, a known method (for example, see Japanese Patent Publication No. 5-32374 and Japanese Patent Publication No. 2001-521916) can be used.
As the formaldehyde gas, a gas that does not contain impurities such as water, methanol, formic acid, etc., which has a polymerization termination and chain transfer action during the polymerization reaction as much as possible is used. If these impurities are excessively present, the desired molecular weight product cannot be obtained due to an unexpected chain transfer reaction. In particular, water is preferably 100 ppm or less, and more preferably 50 ppm or less.
In the polymerization step, it is preferable to use a chain transfer agent.
As the chain transfer agent, alcohols and acid anhydrides are generally used. In order to obtain a block polymer or a branched polymer, a polyol, a polyether polyol, or a polyether polyol / alkylene oxide may be used. It is preferable to use a chain transfer agent that contains as little impurities as possible. In particular, water is preferably 2000 ppm or less, and more preferably 1000 ppm or less. As a method for obtaining such a chain transfer agent with few impurities, for example, a chain transfer agent having a general water content exceeding a predetermined specified amount is obtained, and this is bubbled with dry nitrogen to obtain activated carbon or zeolite. For example, a method of removing impurities by using an adsorbent such as a purification method, and the like. A chain transfer agent may be used individually by 1 type, and may be used together 2 or more types.
In the polymerization step, it is preferable to use a polymerization catalyst.
Examples of the polymerization catalyst include onium salt polymerization catalysts, which are represented by the following general formula (1).
[R 1 R 2 R 3 R 4 M] + X − (1)
(In general formula (1), R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 each independently represents an alkyl group, M represents an element having a lone electron pair, and X represents a nucleophilic group.)
Among the onium salt polymerization catalysts represented by the general formula (1), quaternary ammonium salt compounds and quaternary phosphonium salt compounds are preferable, more preferably tetramethylammonium bromide, dimethyl distearyl ammonium acetate, Tetraethylphosphonium iodide and tributylethylphosphonium iodide are used.
The polymerization step can be carried out using a conventionally known reactor. For example, a batch type reaction vessel with a stirrer, a continuous type kneader, a biaxial screw type continuous extrusion kneader, a biaxial paddle type continuous mixer and the like can be mentioned. These preferably have a structure capable of heating or cooling the reaction mixture.
[Terminal stabilization process]
The crude polyacetal obtained by the polymerization step needs to be terminally stabilized.
For example, as a method for blocking an end with an ether group, there is a method described in JP-B-63-452, and as a method for blocking with an acetyl group, there is a large amount described in US Pat. No. 3,459,709. There are a method in which the acid anhydride is used in a slurry state and a method in which the acid anhydride gas described in US Pat. No. 3,172,736 is used in the gas phase, but the method is limited to these. It is not a thing.
The etherifying agent used in the method of blocking the terminal with an ether group is an ortho ester, usually an ortho ester of an aliphatic or aromatic acid and an aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic alcohol, such as methyl or ethyl. It can be selected from orthoformate, methyl or ethyl orthoacetate and methyl or ethyl orthobenzoate, and orthocarbonates such as ethyl orthocarbonate.
In the etherification reaction, Lewis acid type catalysts such as medium strength organic acids such as p-toluenesulfonic acid, acetic acid and hydrobromic acid, medium strength mineral acids such as dimethyl and diethyl sulfate, etc. are converted into etherification agents 1 It is preferable to carry out by introducing 0.001 to 0.02 parts by mass with respect to parts by mass.
Solvents used in the etherification reaction include, for example, halogenated low-boiling aliphatic, alicyclic and aromatic hydrocarbons such as pentane, hexane, cyclohexane and benzene, methylene chloride, chloroform and carbon tetrachloride. Organic solvents such as lower aliphatic compounds are preferred.
On the other hand, when the terminal of the polymer is blocked with an ester group, examples of the organic acid anhydride used for esterification include organic acid anhydrides represented by the following general formula (2).
R 1 COOCOR 2 (2)
(In general formula (2), R 1 and R 2 each independently represents an alkyl group. R 1 and R 2 may be the same or different.)
Among the organic acid anhydrides represented by the general formula (2), propionic anhydride, benzoic anhydride, acetic anhydride, succinic anhydride, maleic anhydride, glutaric anhydride, phthalic anhydride and the like are preferable, and acetic anhydride is preferable. More preferred.
An organic acid anhydride may be used individually by 1 type, and may use 2 or more types together.
In addition, in the method of performing ester group blocking in the gas phase, if the onium salt-based polymerization catalyst remains in the polymer resin, the onium salt-based polymerization catalyst promotes the decomposition reaction of the polymer when end-blocking. As a result, the polymer yield in the stabilization reaction is significantly reduced and the problem of coloring the polymer appears particularly prominent. For example, the onium salt-based polymerization catalyst is removed by the method described in JP-A-11-92542. It is particularly preferable to perform end capping after the treatment.
It is preferable to reduce the concentration of the terminal hydroxyl group to 5 × 10 −7 mol / g or less by blocking the end of the polymer with an ether group and / or an ester group, and 0.5 × 10 −7 mol / g or less. It is more preferable to reduce it.
[Finishing process]
In general, the polymer powder subjected to terminal stabilization is preferably pelletized using an extruder after the drying treatment in order to improve the handleability.

(Physical properties of polyacetal homopolymer resin composition)
The polyacetal homopolymer resin composition used for molding the automotive part of this embodiment has a formaldehyde generation amount of 2 ppm in a VDA275 test (Verband der Automobilindustrie eV standard) at a molding temperature of 200 ° C. .
A method for measuring the amount of formaldehyde generated in the VDA275 test will be described.

Next, after heating the polyethylene container at 60 ° C. for 3 hours, formaldehyde generated in distilled water is reacted with acetylacetone in the presence of ammonium ions. The absorption peak at a wavelength of 412 nm is measured for the obtained reaction product with a UV spectrometer, and the generation amount (ppm) of formaldehyde per kg of the test piece is calculated.

Parts are obtained.
Furthermore, practically sufficient durability can be obtained when used as a gear. Furthermore, accumulation of MD in the mold during injection molding can be suppressed.
