Abstract
【解決手段】エンジンの排気管に上流側から順に放電リアクタ4、LNT5を配置する構成で、LNT5にアルカリ土類金属(ストロンチウム)やアルカリ土類金属(ストロンチウム)と銀を担持する。この構成により、銀のみをアルミナに担持した構成では、LNT5におけるNOx脱離開始温度がNOx還元反応が起きる最低温度に達しないのに対し、本発明の構成(アルミナにストロンチウムあるいはストロンチウムと銀を担持)では、NOx脱離開始温度がNOx還元反応が起きる最低温度を超えるので、吸蔵されたNOxは適切に還元される。

Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に備えられて、排気内で放電を起こしてプラズマを発生させる放電部(4)と、
その放電部の下流に配置されて、排気中のNOxを吸蔵し還元する触媒部(5)と、
を備え、
前記触媒部は、前記放電部での放電がなければNOx吸蔵が不可能な低温領域で前記放電部での放電により吸蔵されたNOxを、NOx還元が可能な温度に昇温するまで保持する吸着材(51)を担持したことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記吸着材にはアルカリ土類金属に属する物質(52)が含まれる請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記吸着材にはストロンチウム(52)が含まれる請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記アルカリ土類金属中のストロンチウムの割合は50%以上である請求項3に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記吸着材には銀(54)が含まれる請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
