Abstract
Description
The embodiments described below generally relate to an optical fiber cable for a solid state lighting device and a solid state lighting device.
Solid-state lighting (Solid State Lighting) devices using solid-state light-emitting elements such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs), semiconductor lasers (LDs), and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) High efficiency, long life, and easy lighting electronic control.
In the case of a solid state lighting device using a blue LED, even if there is no influence of heat generation, a droop that causes a decrease in light output and saturation occurs when the current density increases. If an attempt is made to reduce the influence of droop by expanding the area, it is difficult to realize a high-intensity solid-state lighting device that emits light with high brightness in a narrow area.
If the solid-state lighting device has a structure in which a blue laser beam with a small emission point and a narrow angle is transmitted to the lamp unit using an optical fiber, a small, lightweight, low-heat-generating large-intensity solid-state lighting device is possible.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an optical fiber cable and a solid state lighting device capable of suppressing leakage of laser light to the outside.
The solid state lighting device according to the embodiment is capable of transmitting a first optical fiber group capable of transmitting a visible laser beam having a first wavelength and a laser beam having a second wavelength longer than the first wavelength, An optical fiber cable having a second optical fiber group provided so as to surround the first optical fiber group; and at the first end of the optical fiber cable, the visible light is visible on the first optical fiber group. A first light source for injecting laser light; a second light source for injecting the laser light of the second wavelength into the second optical fiber group at the first end of the optical fiber cable; Illumination light generated from the visible laser light emitted from the first optical fiber group, provided on the second end side of the optical fiber cable on the side opposite to the end of the optical fiber cable; 2 out of the optical fiber group A lamp unit that emits scattered light generated from the laser light having the second wavelength; a part of the illumination light and a part of the scattered light are incident on the second end part, respectively.

A second optical fiber group provided so as to surround the fiber group; an optical fiber cable having; a first laser beam incident on the first optical fiber group at a first end of the optical fiber; A light source; a second light source that causes the laser light having the second wavelength to enter the second optical fiber group at a first end of the optical fiber; and the visible light emitted from the first optical fiber group. A lamp unit that emits illumination light generated from laser light and scattered light generated from the laser light of the second wavelength emitted from the second optical fiber group; a part of the illumination light And part of the scattered light is the second A control unit that detects a change in the intensity of the return light that is incident on each end and propagates through the optical fiber cable toward the first end, and stops emission of the visible laser light. It is a lighting device.
According to this solid state lighting device, the control unit can detect changes in the return light intensity of the illumination light and the return light intensity of the scattered light. For this reason, if any of these return light intensities is out of the predetermined range, the emission of high energy visible laser light can be stopped.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1A is a schematic perspective view of an optical fiber cable for a solid-state lighting device according to the present embodiment, FIG. 1B is a schematic cross-sectional view along the line AA, and FIG. It is the schematic cross section which expanded the fiber group.
The
In the present specification, the wavelength of visible laser light is, for example, in the range of blue to red (410 to 700 nm).
Moreover, in this specification, the light of the 2nd wavelength shall be the wavelength range of 700-2500 nm, for example.
1A to 1C, the first
As shown in FIG. 1C, the optical fibers constituting the first
When the diameter D1 of the
The
The second
The second
Furthermore, when the first
Further, the second wavelength may not be wavelength-converted by the wavelength conversion layer.
FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of a solid-state lighting device using the optical fiber cable of the present embodiment.
The solid-state lighting device includes an
The
For example, when the visible laser light BL is blue light, the wavelength conversion layer 64 (phosphor layer or the like) that has absorbed the blue laser light emits wavelength conversion light such as yellow light. The blue laser light is scattered by the
The
The first
The
The
Instead of the
In this way, the sufficiently diffused illumination light GT can be effectively regarded as a safety level equivalent to incoherent light. For this reason, application of IEC6271 which is an international safety standard as a lamp similar to an LED becomes a reasonable level.
The
FIG. 3 is a configuration diagram illustrating the operation of the solid-state lighting device according to the present embodiment.
A solid-state lighting device that includes a laser light source or emits laser light is required to comply with the IEC 60825 international standard, which is a safety standard for laser equipment. In fact, if the
When the first
On the other hand, when the
In this manner, by detecting changes in the return light RWL of the illumination light GT and the return light RUR of the laser light, it is possible to detect double damage to the
Note that the return light RWL of the illumination light GT and the return light RUR of the laser light may propagate through either the first
The laser light UR can be used not only for detecting the breakage of an optical fiber but also for transmitting wireless mass information. That is, the laser light UR having the second wavelength that has been modulated at high speed can be scattered by the
The laser light UR can have a wavelength of 850 nm, 1300 nm, 1550 nm, or the like, for example. When signal light is modulated at high speed, a semiconductor laser can be used as the
