Abstract

Description
溶融材料を受け取って溶融材料の液滴を噴射するロータリーアトマイザーと、
前記液滴の軌道内に配置されて前記液滴が衝突する衝突面であって、前記ロータリーアトマイザーから、
(i)前記液滴の全部又は実質的に全部が該衝突面に衝突し、
(ii)前記液滴の一部が該衝突面との接触前に完全に凝固しない
ような距離及び角度にある、衝突面と、を備える造粒機が提供される。
溶融材料の液滴をロータリーアトマイザーから衝突面へ向けて噴射して、前記液滴の一部が飛翔中に半凝固する工程と、
前記液滴の一部が前記衝突面との衝突時に完全に凝固しないように、前記半凝固液滴の全部又は実質的に全部を前記液滴の軌道内に配置されている衝突面に衝突させる工程と、
前記半凝固液滴をコレクターへ向け直す工程と、を含む溶融材料を造粒する方法が提供される。
Claims (6)
- 造粒機であって、
チャンバーと、
ロータリーアトマイザーに溶融材料を向ける供給手段であって、ロータリーアトマイザーは軌道に沿って溶融材料の液滴を噴射するために実質的に垂直な軸を中心としてスピンするように前記チャンバー内に取り付けられ、
前記チャンバーは前記ロータリーアトマイザーの上方であって前記液滴の軌道内に配置されて前記液滴が衝突する衝突面を備え、
前記衝突面は水または他の冷媒によって冷却され、前記衝突面が前記ロータリーアトマイザーを出る前記液滴の軌道に対して配置される角度(β)が30度より大きく60度未満であり、前記衝突面はロータリーアトマイザーから距離があり、前記角度(β)は、
(i) 前記液滴の全部又は実質的に全部が前記衝突面に衝突し、
(ii)前記液滴の一部が前記衝突面との接触前に完全に凝固しない
ような角度であることを特徴とする造粒機。 - 請求項1に記載の造粒機であって、
前記衝突面との接触後に、半凝固粒子又は凝固粒子を回収するためのコレクター領域をさらに備える請求項1に記載の造粒機。 - 前記コレクター領域は、環状の形状であり、前記衝突面から半径方向外方にある請求項2に記載の造粒機。
- 請求項2又は3に記載の造粒機であって、
前記粒子を前記コレクター領域へ向ける円錐台形の下面をさらに備える造粒機。 - 溶融材料を造粒する方法であって、
実質的に垂直な軸でスピンするロータリーアトマイザーに溶融材料を供給する工程と、
溶融材料の液滴を、ロータリーアトマイザーから、水または他の冷媒によって冷却される衝突面へ向けて噴射する工程であって、前記衝突面が前記ロータリーアトマイザーを出る溶融材料の軌道に対して配置される角度(β)が前記ロータリーアトマイザーの上方に30度より大きく60度未満である工程と、
前記液滴の一部が前記衝突面と衝突する時に完全に凝固しないように、半凝固液滴の全部または実質的に全部を、前記液滴の軌道内に配置されている前記衝突面に衝突させる工程と、
前記凝固液滴を衝突の後でコレクターへ向け直す工程と、
を含む溶融材料を造粒する方法。 - 前記衝突面が前記半凝固液滴の軌道に対して配置される角度(β)が45度より大きく60度未満である請求項5に記載の方法。
