Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an improvement in an electric disc brake device that brakes an automobile using an electric motor as a drive source. Specifically, it is intended to realize a structure that can shorten the time required to generate the braking force, increase the generated braking force, and suppress power consumption when the parking brake is operated.
[Known conventional structure]
The electric disc brake device that uses an electric motor as a drive source eliminates the need for piping compared to a hydraulic disc brake that has been widely used in the past, and facilitates manufacturing and reduces costs. Research is being conducted because it has many advantages, such as the fact that used brake fluid is not generated and the environmental load is small, and that there is no movement of the brake fluid, so that responsiveness can be improved. In such an electric disc brake device, it is necessary to convert the rotational motion of the electric motor into linear motion while increasing the force, and to strongly press the pair of pads against both side surfaces of the rotor. In view of such circumstances, conventionally, various electric disc brake devices in which a gear type reduction device and a booster device are combined have been proposed, for example, as described in Patent Documents 1 to 4. .
FIG. 4 shows an example of a conventional structure described in
Moreover, the caliper 4 is assembled to the support so as to be capable of displacement in the axial direction. The caliper 4 is provided with a caliper claw 5 at an outer side end portion and a
In the case of the electric disc brake device, the
In the electric disc brake device having the conventional structure as described above, it is not always possible to sufficiently increase the braking force associated with pressing both the
[Unknown structure of prior invention]
In view of the circumstances as described above, Japanese Patent Application No. 2012-265955 discloses an electric disc brake device having a structure capable of increasing the generated braking force and having a realistic size as a braking device for an automobile. There is an electric disc brake device. Since the present invention improves the structure of the prior invention, first, the structure of the prior invention will be described.
5 to 9 show a first example of the prior invention structure. The electric disc brake device according to the present invention is characterized in that the

In order to constitute the

The
The
The
Furthermore, the front end side end portions of the rolling surfaces of the
The force increase
The force increase
In the case of the structure of the prior invention, the

Further, a resistance means 67 is provided in a state facing the outer peripheral surface of the
Specifically, based on energization to the
The electric disc brake device having the above-described structure constructed as described above operates as follows to press the
During non-braking, there is a gap between the
In this manner, the boosting

As the force increase
As described above, as each of the
When releasing the brake, the
In the case of the electric actuator having the structure of the previous invention that is configured as described above and operates as described above, the
Further, at the start of braking, until the clearance between the
FIG. 11 shows a second example of the prior invention structure. In the case of the structure of this example, when the electric disc brake device is not braked, the adjusting
In the case of the structure of the present example, the
In the case of the structure of this example, the coefficient of friction between the two
According to the structure of the prior invention as described above, the time required to generate the braking force can be shortened, and the generated braking force can be increased, and the motorized braking device has a practical size as a vehicle braking device. A disc brake device can be realized. However, when considering using this electric disc brake device as a parking brake device, there is room for improvement in terms of reducing power consumption. This point will be described below.
According to the electric disc brake device having the above-described invention structure, a sufficiently large braking force can be obtained without particularly increasing the output of the
In particular, the parking brake mechanism is generally incorporated in a brake device for a rear wheel of the vehicle. The brake device for the rear wheels is provided with a lining 18 for both the
In this way, while the parking brake is operating, continuously supplying electric power that can output a certain amount of torque to the
It is also possible to use an electric brake with a brake that has a function to suppress the rotation of the output shaft when not energized. However, regardless of the large reaction force generated in the parking braking force generation state, it is difficult to ensure sufficient reliability with respect to reliably preventing the rotation of the output shaft, which is not necessarily a practical structure.
In view of the circumstances as described above, the present invention has been invented to realize a structure that can suppress the power consumption during the operation of the parking brake and obtain sufficient reliability while ensuring the effects of the above-described invention. Is.
The electric disc brake device of the present invention includes a rotor, a pad support portion, a pair of pads, a pressing piece, and an electric actuator.
Of these, the rotor rotates with the wheels.
The pad support portion is supported by the vehicle body in a state adjacent to the rotor. The pad support portion corresponds to a support in the case of a floating caliper type disc brake device, and corresponds to a caliper in the case of an opposed piston type disc brake.
The two pads are supported by the pad support portion so that the rotor can be displaced in the axial direction with the rotor sandwiched from both the axial sides on the outer side and the inner side. Yes.
Further, the pressing piece is a member corresponding to a piston of a general disc brake device, and can be displaced in the axial direction in a cylinder space provided in a portion facing at least one of the two pads. Is provided.
The electric actuator presses the pads against both axial sides of the rotor by displacing the pressing piece in the direction of pushing out the cylinder space using an electric motor as a drive source.
In particular, in the electric disc brake device of the present invention, the electric actuator is concentric with each other in the cylinder space in addition to the electric motor, in the same manner as the electric disc brake device according to the previous invention. And a pressing unit, a spring, a boosting unit, and a boosting ratio conversion unit.
Of these, the electric motor rotates the output shaft in both directions based on energization.
Further, the pressing unit is displaced in a direction protruding from the cylinder space based on the rotation of the output shaft, and presses the pad facing the opening of the cylinder space against the axial side surface of the rotor.
The spring has one end in the axial direction abutting on a fixed portion on the inner surface of the cylinder space, and the other end in the axial direction is displaced in a direction in which the constituent member of the pressing unit protrudes from the cylinder space. The output unit applies a direction force.
The boosting unit includes a plurality of levers and fulcrum members, and a support plate member.
Each of these levers is intermittently arranged in the circumferential direction, and swings and displaces with each circumferential intermediate portion as a fulcrum.
Each fulcrum member is in contact with a circumferential intermediate portion of each lever.
The support plate member supports the fulcrum members on the side opposite to the levers in the axial direction.
Further, one end in the circumferential direction of each lever is engaged with a member to be pressed pressed by the output portion of the spring, and the other end is engaged with a part of the constituent members of the pressing unit so as to be able to swing and displace. ing.
Then, the pressing unit is displaced in a direction protruding from the cylinder space with the swing displacement of each lever based on the elasticity of the spring.
Further, the force increase ratio conversion unit displaces each fulcrum member in the circumferential direction of each lever, and displaces the pressing unit in a direction protruding from the cylinder space based on the elasticity of the spring and the elasticity. Change the boost ratio, which is the ratio with the magnitude of the force.
That is, the boost ratio conversion unit displaces each fulcrum member in the circumferential direction of each lever so that the distance between each fulcrum member and one circumferential end on the input side of each lever, and each fulcrum The ratio between the member and the distance between the other end in the circumferential direction on the output side of each lever is changed.
Further, in the case of the electric disc brake device of the present invention, the force increase ratio is such that the two pads can be pressed to both side surfaces in the axial direction of the rotor with a force capable of exerting a braking force necessary as a parking brake. When the parking brake force is generated in the state where the fulcrum members are moved to the positions, the inclination angle of the portion near the other end in the circumferential direction of one side surface of the side surfaces of the levers, which are in contact with the fulcrum members, is set. The distance between one side surface of each lever and the pressed member is set to a value that does not increase as it goes toward at least one circumferential end of one side surface of each lever.

Furthermore, the feature of the present invention is to realize an electric parking brake device capable of ensuring a reliable and stable braking force over a long period of time while suppressing power consumption, so that the service brake is hydraulic. You can also do things. In this case, as in the invention described in
In the electric disc brake device according to the present invention configured as described above, the force for pressing the linings of the two pads against the both side surfaces of the rotor to generate the braking force is the spring elasticity, each of which is centered on the fulcrum member. It is generated by transmitting to a constituent member of the pressing unit by a plurality of levers that swing and displace as follows. Such an electric disc brake device of the present invention operates as follows, and presses the lining of a pair of pads against both side surfaces of the rotor to perform braking.
When the pressing unit is displaced in a direction protruding from the cylinder space based on energization of the electric motor in order to generate a braking force, a gap exists between the linings of the pads and both side surfaces of the rotor. In the meantime, the pressing unit is quickly displaced in the direction protruding from the cylinder space without causing the boosting unit and the boosting ratio conversion unit to function. For this reason, the said clearance gap can be eliminated quickly and responsiveness can be ensured. That is, it is not necessary to operate the booster unit including the levers until the clearance is eliminated, and the moving speed of the pressing unit can be increased regardless of the boost ratio of the booster unit.
After the clearance is eliminated, the fulcrum member is moved by the action of the boost ratio conversion unit, and the boost ratio of the boost unit including the levers can be increased. For this purpose, the pressing unit is pressed in a direction protruding from the cylinder space with a force sufficiently larger than the elasticity of the spring. As a result, it is possible to obtain a sufficient braking force by pressing the linings of the two pads against both side surfaces of the rotor with a sufficiently large force.
Further, the pressing unit, the spring, the boosting unit, and the boosting ratio conversion unit that constitute the electric actuator can be arranged coaxially by configuring each of them in an annular shape or a cylindrical shape. Therefore, the electric actuator can be made compact.
As a result, according to the present invention, the time required to generate the braking force can be shortened, and the generated braking force can be increased, and the electric disk brake device having a practical size as a vehicle braking device. Can be realized.
Furthermore, in the case of the electric disc brake device of the present invention, even if the energization to the electric motor is stopped in the parking braking force generation state, each fulcrum member stops at a portion near the other circumferential end of each lever. Each of these levers continues to push the pressing unit in a direction protruding from the cylinder space with a force larger than the elasticity of each spring. As a result, it is possible to keep the lining of both pads pressed against the both side surfaces of the rotor with a sufficiently large force to keep the vehicle in a stopped state, while energizing the electric motor is stopped. Reduces power consumption during operation.
In particular, according to the structure of the invention described in
On the other hand, according to the structure of the invention described in
According to the ninth aspect of the present invention, it is possible to prevent the adjusting nut constituting the pressing unit from rattling in the cylinder space when the electric disk brake device is not braked. For this reason, at the time of non-braking, it is possible to prevent a collision noise from occurring between the screw hole of the adjusting nut and the male screw portion of the adjusting screw, or damage such as wear to both the members.
[First example of embodiment]
FIG. 1 shows a first example of an embodiment of the present invention corresponding to
An axial piece that faces the
Further, locking
In order to generate a braking force in the electric disc brake device of the present example configured as described above, the
In particular, in the case of the structure of this example, the
In addition, in the case of the structure of this example, a force in the direction toward the other circumferential end of each
[Second Example of Embodiment]
FIG. 2 shows a second example of an embodiment of the present invention corresponding to
[Third example of embodiment]
FIG. 3 shows a third example of an embodiment of the present invention corresponding to claims 1, 4 to 8 and 11. This example shows a case where the present invention is applied to a hybrid structure in which the parking brake is electrically operated and the service brake is hydraulic. In the case of this example, the displacement in the axial direction is performed in a state where the
In the case of this example, only the parking brake is operated using the
The structure of the present invention is such that the electric motor can be shared among a plurality of pressing pieces, but a booster unit, a boost ratio conversion unit, etc. are required for each pressing piece, etc. Compared to the device, the volume of the device portion that drives the pressing piece increases. Therefore, it is preferable to use a floating caliper type disc brake that requires only a small number of pressing pieces and can easily secure a space for the pressing piece installation portion. However, if it is possible to secure an installation space, such as for a large automobile, it is possible to use an opposed piston type disc brake.
