<Back side sealing material for solar cell module>
The back side sealing material for solar cell modules of the present invention (hereinafter abbreviated as “back side sealing material”) is a sheet containing a sealing resin and a titanium oxide pigment.
(封止用樹脂)
封止用樹脂としては、接着性、耐久性及びバリア性を備える樹脂が使用され、例えば、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体(以下、「EVA」という。)、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、アクリル樹脂等が使用される。これらのうちでも、接着性、耐久性及びバリア性のバランスに優れることから、EVAが好ましい。
(Resin for sealing)
As the sealing resin, a resin having adhesiveness, durability, and barrier properties is used. For example, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (hereinafter referred to as “EVA”), polyethylene, polypropylene, acrylic resin, and the like are used. Is done. Among these, EVA is preferable because of its excellent balance of adhesiveness, durability, and barrier properties.
EVA has a vinyl acetate unit ratio of preferably 10 to 40% by mass, and more preferably 15 to 35% by mass. If the proportion of vinyl acetate units in EVA is equal to or higher than the lower limit value, the adhesiveness of the sealing material can be increased when the solar cell module is formed. Can be high.
The mass average molecular weight of EVA is preferably 10,000 to 300,000, and more preferably 100,000 to 170,000. Here, the mass average molecular weight is a value measured using gel permeation chromatography. If the EVA mass average molecular weight is equal to or higher than the lower limit value, the mechanical properties of the back side sealing material can be improved, and if it is equal to or lower than the upper limit value, the workability of the back side sealing material can be improved.
(Titanium oxide pigment)
A titanium oxide pigment is a white pigment in which a surface treatment film is formed on the surface of titanium oxide particles. The content of titanium oxide particles in the titanium oxide pigment is 80 to 97% by mass, preferably 90 to 97% by mass, and more preferably 90 to 95% by mass. The content of titanium oxide particles in the titanium oxide pigment is a value measured according to JIS K 5116. If the content rate of the titanium oxide particles in the titanium oxide pigment is within the above range, it becomes easy to set the film thickness of the surface treatment film to the following predetermined film thickness.
The number average particle diameter of the titanium oxide pigment determined by the following method is 0.15 to 0.30 μm, and preferably 0.20 to 0.3 μm. When the number average particle diameter of the titanium oxide pigment is less than the lower limit, the whiteness may decrease and the light reflectance of the back side sealing material may decrease. When the upper limit is exceeded, the titanium oxide pigment is dispersed. And the light reflectivity of the back side sealing material may decrease.
[Method for obtaining number average particle diameter]
First, an image is produced for a plurality of titanium oxide pigments with a transmission electron microscope, and the particle diameter of each titanium oxide pigment in the image is measured. Then, the number average particle diameter is obtained from the formula [Σ (particle diameter of titanium oxide pigment) / number of titanium oxide pigments whose particle diameter is measured]. This number average particle size is the number average particle size of secondary particles.

Examples of the material for forming the surface treatment film include silica, alumina, zinc oxide, zirconium oxide, silane coupling agent, polyol and the like. Two or more of these materials may be used in combination. When two or more kinds are used in combination, a mixture or laminate of silica and alumina and a mixture or laminate of alumina and polyol are preferable because they have a good balance of weather resistance and dispersibility, but are particularly limited. It is not a thing.
The thickness of the surface treatment film is preferably 3 to 300 nm, more preferably 3 to 200 nm, and still more preferably 4 to 120 nm. When the film thickness of the surface treatment film is less than the lower limit value, the light reflectance of the back side sealing material tends to be difficult to increase. When the upper limit value is exceeded, it may be difficult to produce a titanium oxide pigment. .
Further, the film thickness of the surface treatment film is preferably adjusted according to the number average particle diameter of the titanium oxide pigment, and specifically, a range of 0.01 to 1 times the number average particle diameter of the titanium oxide pigment. And is more preferably in the range of 0.02 to 0.5 times.
In addition, the film thickness of a surface treatment film | membrane can be calculated | required from the average particle diameter of titanium oxide content, the titanium oxide particle content rate in a titanium oxide pigment, and the density of titanium oxide.
裏側封止材における酸化チタン顔料の含有量は3〜15質量%であり、6〜12質量%であることが好ましい。酸化チタン顔料の含有量が前記下限値未満であると、裏側封止材の光の反射率が高くなりにくく、前記上限値を超えると、封止材としての機能(接着性、耐久性等)が低下することがある。 Content of the titanium oxide pigment in a back side sealing material is 3-15 mass%, and it is preferable that it is 6-12 mass%.
