Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sensor probe, for example, a sensor probe for measuring a gas concentration in molten metal.
In order to reduce defects such as pinholes at the time of casting caused by gas in the molten (molten) metal, a sensor for measuring the gas component concentration of hydrogen or oxygen in the molten metal has been put into practical use.
In these hydrogen sensors, one end of a solid electrolyte is immersed in a molten metal (molten metal) and the other end is exposed to a reference gas, whereby protons (hydrogen ions) move through the solid electrolyte to produce a potential difference, thereby forming a concentration cell. By measuring this voltage, the hydrogen concentration is detected.
In the measurement by the concentration cell type hydrogen sensor, it is necessary to measure in a state where a part of the solid electrolyte (hydrogen sensor) is immersed in the molten metal and the other part is in contact with the reference gas. For this reason, for example, when measurement is performed with the outer surface shape being rod-shaped and partly immersed in the molten metal and the other part is exposed from the molten metal, the solid electrolyte has a large temperature gradient in the vicinity of the molten metal surface. This temperature gradient is greatest at the moment when the solid electrolyte is applied to the molten metal. For example, since the melting point of copper is 1083.4 ° C., the temperature of the molten metal is higher than this, and if the solid electrolyte is immersed in the molten metal from room temperature, it is destroyed by thermal shock. That is, since a part of the temperature rises rapidly, the thermal expansion is different inside the solid electrolyte, and stress is generated and destroyed. In order to prevent such destruction, it is necessary to gradually heat and preheat before use.
Also, since slag composed of metal oxides floating on the surface of the molten metal adheres to the surface of the solid electrolyte and hinders the measurement of hydrogen, it is necessary to immerse in the molten metal without slag adhering to the solid electrolyte. It is.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and provides a sensor probe that does not require preheating for a long time and can protect a solid electrolyte from damage due to thermal shock and measurement failure due to slag adhesion. With the goal.
In order to achieve the above object, the present inventor has intensively studied the sensor probe, and as a result, has reached the present invention. The sensor probe of the present invention is a rod-shaped sensor whose tip is immersed in the molten metal, and is held by the tip of the sensor, is made of the same type of metal as the molten metal, and is immersed in the molten metal. It is characterized by comprising a thermal shock relaxation portion that melts and disappears in the molten metal.
According to this configuration, when the tip of the sensor probe is immersed in the molten metal, the thermal shock reducing portion held by the tip prevents the rod-shaped sensor from coming into direct contact with the molten metal, and heats the sensor. Slowly increase the temperature little by little. And a thermal shock relaxation part melt | dissolves in a molten metal and lose | disappears, and the front-end | tip part of a sensor probe contacts a molten metal. In this way, the temperature rise of the sensor is moderated by the heat capacity and heat of fusion of the thermal shock relaxation portion, and the sensor can be prevented from being destroyed by the thermal shock. After the thermal shock relaxation portion disappears, the sensor whose temperature has been gradually increased can directly contact the molten metal and perform a predetermined measurement. Moreover, since the thermal shock relaxation part is made of the same kind of metal as the molten metal, the composition of the molten metal is not changed after melting and does not become an impurity. Moreover, since the thermal shock relaxation part has disappeared after the measurement is completed, the sensor is not subjected to an unnecessary load when it is cooled to room temperature, and can be prevented from being destroyed during cooling.
Any rod-shaped sensor may be used as long as it has a rod shape and its tip is immersed in molten metal and is damaged by thermal shock. Specific examples include a concentration cell type hydrogen sensor having a ceramic solid electrolyte at the tip, and a temperature sensor having a ceramic outer cylinder with the tip closed.
The sensor probe may include a cylindrical sleeve having an opening at a distal end portion, the sensor may be held in the sleeve, and the thermal shock relaxation portion may be held so as to cover the opening of the sleeve.
According to this configuration, since the thermal shock reducing portion and the cylindrical sleeve surround the sensor, the molten metal does not come into contact with the sensor even if the tip of the sensor probe is immersed in the molten metal, and the sensor gradually It is heated and damage due to thermal shock can be suppressed. After the thermal shock relaxation portion melts and disappears in the molten metal, measurement is possible because the molten metal enters the sleeve through the opening of the sleeve and contacts the sensor. Further, since the sensor is held in the sleeve, it can be prevented from being damaged by handling or the like.
Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the electronic device of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
<First Embodiment>
The
The
Α-alumina containing a divalent alkaline earth metal acts as a solid electrolyte exhibiting proton conductivity at high temperatures, so that when one surface comes into contact with a molten metal containing hydrogen, protons move through the solid electrolyte, It reaches the other surface in contact with the reference gas, and a potential difference is generated, resulting in a density cell. The potential difference between one surface and the other surface is measured and compared with the value calibrated in advance to obtain the hydrogen concentration of the molten metal. In the embodiment, the outer convex surface of the
The thermocouple 3 is accommodated in a space inside the tubular
Since the thickness of the
The thermocouple 3 is connected to the inner surface of the
The
The
Since the

A circuit is configured by immersing an electrode rod (not shown) as a measurement electrode in molten metal. Therefore, the measurement circuit for the hydrogen concentration includes a voltmeter (-side), an electrode rod (measurement electrode), a molten metal (copper), a solid electrolyte (hydrogen sensor, α-alumina), an electrode (platinum, a reference electrode), a thermocouple (platinum). It becomes. The temperature measurement by the thermocouple 3 and the hydrogen concentration measurement using the platinum side of the thermocouple 3 are alternately performed by switching the measurement circuit.
The assembly procedure of this embodiment will be described. After connecting the thermocouple 3 to the inside of the tubular
As is apparent from the above description, according to the first embodiment, the
According to this configuration, when the
The sensor (solid electrolyte 2) is a concentration cell type hydrogen sensor using a ceramic solid electrolyte. According to this configuration, it is possible to measure the hydrogen concentration in a high temperature region. For example, if α-alumina is used as a solid electrolyte, it is possible to accurately measure the hydrogen concentration in the range of 800 to 1700K without being affected by oxygen.
<Second Embodiment>
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The
The material of the
When the tip of the
As described above, when the

It becomes. The temperature measurement by the thermocouple 3 and the hydrogen concentration measurement using the platinum side of the thermocouple 3 are alternately performed by switching the measurement circuit.
As an assembly procedure of the present embodiment, first, the thermocouple 3 is connected to the
As is apparent from the above description, according to the second embodiment, the
According to this structure, when the thermal
<Third Embodiment>
As shown in FIG. 3, the
A manufacturing method will be described. After the
As is apparent from the above description, according to the third embodiment, the
According to this configuration, when the
<Fourth Embodiment>
As shown in FIG. 5, the
The
The
An assembly method will be described. As shown in FIG. 6, the
Subsequently, the upper and lower sides are reversed, and the
In this way, the
Further, winding with the

It becomes. The hydrogen concentration, temperature, and oxygen concentration can be measured arbitrarily by switching the circuit. For example, when the hydrogen concentration is to be measured intensively, the measurement frequency and order of the parameter of interest can be changed, such as the order of hydrogen concentration → oxygen concentration → hydrogen concentration → temperature → hydrogen concentration.
As described above, according to the fourth embodiment, the
In addition, this invention is not limited to embodiment mentioned above, A various change is possible in the range which does not deviate from the main point of this invention.
In each embodiment, the hydrogen concentration of the molten copper is measured by the solid electrolyte of α-alumina, but another sensor that measures the gas concentration of the molten metal of another metal may be used. At this time, the material of the protection part is the same type according to the molten metal. The copper powder in the third embodiment is also a metal powder of the same kind as each molten metal. As in the embodiment, the sensor is protected from thermal shock by the protection unit.
Although the protective part melts and disappears due to the heat of the molten metal, a part of the range covered by the protective part that is not immersed in the molten metal may be enlarged to leave a part. Even if it does in this way, since the site | part immersed in molten metal melts | dissolves, it does not affect a measurement. In addition, since the heat is transferred by the protective portion to a wide range of the solid electrolyte that is not immersed in the molten metal, the temperature gradient inside the solid electrolyte can be reduced.

In the fourth embodiment, the reference gas reaches the molten metal surface to some extent by circulating the ceramic rope around both sensors and applying the
In each embodiment, the hydrogen concentration and the oxygen concentration are measured. However, the present invention can be applied to a rod-shaped sensor such as a thermocouple or other object that wants to alleviate the thermal shock in contact with other molten metal.
