Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an arc spot welding torch used for arc spot welding for spot joining metal materials.
The arc spot welding method is used to weld metal materials, especially thin metal materials, when extremely high joint joint strength is not required, when it is desired to suppress material deformation due to welding, or between materials to be welded. This is applied to butt joints, lap joints or corner joints when it is desired to secure them.
In the case of a consumable electrode type arc spot welding using a welding wire, the welding torch used for this arc spot welding sends out the consumable electrode (welding wire) from the tip of the welding torch toward the workpiece. Power is supplied by passing the welding wire through the energizing tip. A cylindrical gas shield nozzle is attached to the tip of the torch so as to surround the current-carrying tip, and the shield gas is discharged from the gas shield nozzle to the arc periphery. On the other hand, the material to be welded is connected to the ground terminal of the welding power source via an energizing cable connected to one corner. As a result, arc spot welding is performed by generating an arc between the welding wire fed from the welding power source via the energization tip and the material to be welded connected to the ground terminal of the welding power source.
On the other hand, an
When the conventional
However, the conventional
In addition, when spot welding is performed in order to attach a plurality of thin metal plates to the surface of a steel structure (lining), if the grounding position in the material to be welded is poor, poor welding due to poor energization occurs. For this reason, it is important to secure a target position of the wire and to take a grounding position in the material to be welded. In particular, as shown in FIG. 7, when a nonconductive material such as a
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and an arc spot welding torch capable of obtaining stable welding quality by stabilizing the energized state in arc generation while facilitating positioning of a welding portion. The purpose is to provide.
An arc spot welding torch according to the present invention includes a torch body for feeding a welding wire through the inside thereof, and the welding wire attached to the tip of the torch body and fed from the torch body. At the time of this insertion, a current-carrying tip for supplying power to the welding wire and a tip of the torch body are attached so as to surround the current-carrying tip. A gas shield nozzle that discharges toward the welding material, and a conductive support member that is attached to the torch body or the gas shield nozzle, and whose tip contacts the material to be welded during welding and is used for positioning the welding location And a cable for connecting the support member to a ground terminal of a welding power source, wherein the support member becomes a ground electrode during welding. To.
Another arc spot welding torch according to the present invention includes a torch body for feeding a welding wire through the inside thereof, and the welding attached to the tip of the torch body and fed from the torch body. A wire is inserted and sent toward the material to be welded, and a current-carrying tip for supplying power to the welding wire at the time of insertion and a tip of the torch body are attached so as to surround the current-carrying tip, and a shield gas is passed from the tip A conductive gas shielding nozzle supporting member that discharges toward the material to be welded and whose tip contacts with the material to be welded during welding and is used for positioning a welding location, and the supporting member as a welding power source And a cable connected to the earth terminal, and the support member becomes a ground electrode during welding.
Still another arc spot welding torch according to the present invention includes a torch main body to which a non-consumable electrode is fixed, and a tip of the torch main body so as to surround the non-consumable electrode.
Still another arc spot welding torch according to the present invention includes a torch main body to which a non-consumable electrode is fixed, and a tip of the torch main body so as to surround the non-consumable electrode. A conductive gas shield nozzle-supporting support member that discharges toward the welding material and has its tip contacted with the material to be welded at the time of welding to position the welding location; And a cable connected to the terminal, wherein the support member becomes a ground electrode during welding.
In the present invention, for example, the support member has an opening for visually recognizing a target position of the welding wire or the non-consumable electrode in the workpiece.
According to the present invention, since the support member used for positioning the welding location contacts the material to be welded, the target position of the welding wire or the non-consumable electrode on the material to be welded is adjusted, and the arc spot at the appropriate target position. By pressing the welding torch, the arc spot welding torch can be positioned. In the present invention, since the grounding terminal of the welding power source is connected to the supporting member via a cable, the supporting member itself is grounded during welding when the supporting member comes into contact with the material to be welded. Become the pole. For this reason, the welding point and the position for grounding are kept at a constant distance (the distance between the electrode and the support member), and the distance between the welding point and the position for grounding is short, so that the energization state in the arc generation is Stabilize. For example, when the support member has an opening for visually recognizing the target position of the welding wire or the non-consumable electrode in the welded material, the accuracy of the target position of the welding wire or the non-consumable electrode is further improved. .
Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1A is a sectional view showing an arc spot welding torch according to the first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 1B is a perspective view showing a support member of the arc spot welding torch. The arc
And the cylindrical
A
Further, as shown in FIG. 1B, a rectangular
When the arc
Next, the operation of the arc spot welding torch according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described. First, the arc
Moreover, since the
As described above, the arc
Next, an arc spot welding torch according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 2 is a front view showing the arc spot welding torch. The arc spot welding torch 1a of the present embodiment is used for consumable electrode type arc spot welding using a
Then, when the arc spot welding torch 1a is directed to the material to be welded 11, the tip of the gas shield nozzle /
The arc spot welding torch 1a becomes a grounding electrode during welding when the gas shield nozzle /
Next, an arc spot welding torch according to a third embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 3 is a sectional view showing the arc spot welding torch. Unlike the first and second embodiments, the arc
As shown in FIG. 3, a
A

The effects of the present invention will be described below based on examples and conventional examples.
As Example 1, a consumable electrode type arc spot welding test of a titanium thin plate butt joint was performed. As a test base material, a JIS H 4600 pure titanium plate TP340 was used, and the plate thickness was set to 0.3 mm. Moreover, the welding wire used the titanium wire YTW340 for welding JISZ3331 and the diameter was 1.2 mm. As shown in FIG. 4, the test plate uses four
As shown in Table 1, the welding current was 50 A, the arc time was 0.3 seconds, and the wire protrusion length was 15 mm. The type of shielding gas was Ar, and the flow rate of this shielding gas was 15 l / min. Under these welding conditions, welding was performed using a conventional semi-automatic arc spot welding torch as Conventional Example 1, and the welding quality at 60
As shown in Table 2, Conventional Example 1 had 17 welding wire targets among 60
Next, as Example 2, a TIG arc spot welding test of a titanium thin plate lap joint was performed. As the test base material, a JIS H 4600 pure titanium plate TP340 was used, and the thickness thereof was set to 0.8 mm. As shown in FIG. 5, the joint shape was formed by overlapping a part of two
As shown in Table 3, the welding current was 80 A, the arc time was 2 seconds, and the electrode protrusion length was 8 mm. The shielding gas used was Ar, and the flow rate of this Ar shielding gas was 15 l / min. Under these welding conditions, as Conventional Example 2, spot welding was performed at 30 locations using a conventional TIG arc spot welding torch, and the welding quality was evaluated. Further, as Example 2, welding was performed using the arc
As shown in Table 4, Conventional Example 2 had 9 welding defects due to any of the welding wire targets, and 7 welding defects due to energization failure, out of 30 places subjected to the welding test. On the other hand, in Example 2, good spot welds were obtained at all 30 locations where the welding test was performed. As a result of this welding test, the arc
