本エアゾール剤の平均噴霧粒子径は63μmで、実施例1の場合と同様、火気に対する安全性や忌避効果はもちろん、冷感の持続性[処理前:34.9℃、数十秒後の最低温度:15.7℃(低下率:55.8%)、1分後:26.5℃(低下率:24.1%)]にすぐれ実用性の高いものであった。

◎:心地よい冷感あり、 ○:やや冷感あり、 △:殆ど冷感なし、 ×:冷感なし。

これに対し、比較例1のように、20℃における蒸気圧が0.3MPaを超えるLPGを用いたり、エアゾール原液と噴射ガスの配合比率が10/90〜50/50(容量)の範囲を外れる場合(比較例2)、エアゾール剤による冷感は長続きしなかった。また、比較例3の如く、無機粉体を配合することによって冷感作用が低減され、所定量のエタノールを含有しない比較例4も冷感作用が劣った。更に、液化噴射ガスでなく圧縮ガスを用いた比較例5は十分な冷感作用を奏せず、非エアゾールでスプレータイプの比較例6についても冷感作用が幾分劣ったことから、LPGがエタノールと協働して冷感作用に寄与することが明らかとなった。
