Abstract
Description
The present invention is a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire in which a convex pattern is formed on a sidewall portion, and the raised surface of the convex pattern is made of non-black rubber, and an unnecessary cover rubber layer remains on the raised surface. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire that suppresses the above.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a pneumatic tire has been proposed in which a convex pattern in which characters, symbols, or figures indicating a mark or a tire size are raised is formed on a sidewall portion. Also, a pneumatic tire has been proposed in which a non-black rubber such as white is arranged on the raised surface of the convex pattern, thereby improving the contrast of the convex pattern and improving the appearance of the sidewall portion. Yes. Such a pneumatic tire is formed by vulcanizing and molding a raw tire in which a rubber layer made of non-black rubber and a cover rubber layer covering the rubber layer are arranged on the sidewall portion, The cover rubber layer covering the raised surface of the convex pattern is scraped to produce a non-black rubber layer.
However, in such a method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire, when the thickness of the cover rubber layer made of black rubber is increased, the cover rubber layer is not completely scraped, and the black rubber remains on the raised surface, so-called black remaining defect. The occurrence of was a problem.
With respect to such a problem, in
The present invention has been devised in view of the actual situation as described above, and is basically a cover provided with a vent hole for venting air in a concave portion of a vulcanization mold for forming the convex pattern. The main object is to provide a method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire that can stabilize the thickness of the rubber layer and thereby suppress the black residue defect.
Among the present inventions, the invention according to

According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the deepest portion of the concave portion is formed of a belt-like surface extending with a substantially constant width, the vent hole is provided in the belt-like surface, and the length of the belt-like surface is 5 to 5.
The invention according to
The invention according to
In the invention according to claim 8, the thickness of the cover rubber layer of the initial convex pattern is 30% or less of the thickness of the cover rubber layer before the vulcanization molding process. 7. A method for producing a pneumatic tire according to any one of 7 above.
In the method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire according to the present invention, a vent hole for venting air is provided in the concave portion of the vulcanization mold. As a result, when the convex pattern is formed by the concave portion during the vulcanization molding, the cover rubber covering the raised surface is sucked up into the concave portion, so that the cover rubber layer covering the convex pattern after the vulcanization molding is sufficient. It is stretched and its thickness is reduced. Therefore, the cover rubber layer on the raised surface is easily scraped in the removing step, and black remaining defects are suppressed.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a tire meridian cross-sectional view including a tire rotation axis of a
As shown in FIG. 1, a
The
As shown in FIG. 2, in the
The
The
[Raw tire molding process]
FIG. 3 shows an enlarged cross-sectional view of the
The
The
[Vulcanization molding process]
FIG. 4 shows a cross-sectional view of the right half of the
FIG. 5 shows a partially enlarged perspective view of the
The
The
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the
The diameter c1 of the
FIG. 6A shows an enlarged cross-sectional view before the
The cover rubber thickness t4 is desirably reduced to 30% or less, more preferably 25% or less of the thickness t1 of the
As shown in FIG. 5, the depth d1 of the
It is desirable that the deepest portion of the
The band-
Further, it is desirable that one
The
The
[Removal process]
As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, in the removing step, the
In order to reduce the cover rubber thickness t4, the thickness t1 of the
Further, if the thickness t2 of the
Further, when the thickness t3 from the
As mentioned above, although the manufacturing method of the pneumatic tire of this invention was demonstrated in detail, it cannot be overemphasized that this invention can be changed into various aspects, without being limited to said specific embodiment. .
A pneumatic tire for passenger cars of size 265 / 75R16 having the basic structure shown in FIG. 1 was prototyped based on the specifications shown in Table 1, and the yield rate and handling stability of each sample tire were tested.
