Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an airbag device that is inflated and deployed in a vehicle mainly for the purpose of protecting an occupant in an emergency.
Currently, air bags are almost standard equipment on vehicles. An airbag is a safety device that operates in an emergency such as a vehicle collision, and inflates and deploys to receive and protect an occupant. There are various types of airbags depending on the installation location and application. For example, a front airbag is provided in the center of the steering wheel in order to protect the driver from collisions in the front-rear direction. In addition, to protect passengers from side collisions and subsequent rollovers (rollovers), curtain airbags that inflate and deploy along the side windows from the ceiling of the wall and from the side of the seat to the side of the passenger Side airbags that are inflated and deployed are provided.
The airbag is configured to be inflated and deployed mainly by gas pressure, and is provided with a gas generator called an inflator as a gas supply source. There are various types of inflators depending on the type of air bag and its installation location. For example, disc type (disc type) inflators are mainly used for front airbags and the like, and cylinder type (tubular) inflators are mainly used for curtain airbags and side airbags. .
The inflator is wholly or partly inserted into an airbag (strictly, a cushion portion thereof). For example,
In the vicinity of the inflator insertion opening of the cushion part described above, a base fabric may be laminated so as to withstand the gas pressure and heat generated when the gas is generated. Here, the cylinder type inflator may be attached with a simple configuration in which only a part thereof is inserted into the cushion portion. At that time, if the rigidity in the vicinity of the inflator insertion port is high, an impact load is applied to the inflator from the high rigidity portion when the cushion portion is inflated and deployed, and the load is particularly likely to be applied in the vicinity of the stud bolt. In severe cases, the inflator may tilt and the stud bolt may come out of the bolt hole. In addition, it may be difficult to insert the inflator because the rigidity of the inflator insertion port is high.
In view of such problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an airbag device that reduces an impact load applied to an inflator at the time of inflation and deployment, and that can be easily inserted into an inflator and attached to a seat.
In order to solve the above problems, a representative configuration of an airbag apparatus according to the present invention is an airbag apparatus installed in a vehicle, which is a bag-shaped cushion portion that is inflated and deployed by gas, and a cylinder type. An inflator that generates gas, and the cushion part has a base fabric partly doubled, a first base fabric that is one base fabric and a second base fabric that is the other base fabric And an inflator insertion port formed through the first base fabric and the second base fabric, and the inflator has a posture in which the longitudinal direction of the inflator is aligned with the base fabric around the inflator insertion port. At least a part of the inflator is inserted into the cushion portion through the insertion port, and the first base fabric is a first hole portion that constitutes the inflator insertion port, and is long along the longitudinal direction of the inflator. Axis The second base fabric is a second hole portion that is overlapped with the first hole portion, and has a substantially circular second hole portion having a diameter shorter than the major axis. And the second hole portion is provided in the first hole portion at a distal end side inserted into the cushion portion of the inflator.
The vicinity of the inflator insertion opening has a double structure of a first base fabric and a second base fabric, and is set to have a relatively high rigidity so that it can withstand gas pressure and heat. However, in the inflator insertion port, the first hole portion of the first base fabric is elliptical, and the second hole portion of the second base fabric that overlaps the first hole is smaller than the first hole portion and is substantially circular. Thus, a low rigidity portion (low rigidity portion) where only the second base fabric exists is formed. This low-rigidity part is naturally softer than the surrounding double-layered area.
The low rigidity part mentioned above is provided in the rear end side of the inflator among the inflator insertion ports. Here, when gas is supplied from the front end side of the inflator and the cushion portion is inflated and deployed, the vicinity of the rear end side of the inflator insertion port may be pressed against the inflator by the inflation and deployment. In that case, if it is the said structure, the impact load applied to an inflator can be reduced because the low-rigidity part is provided in the rear-end side of the inflator insertion port. As a result, the burden on the stud bolt of the inflator is reduced, and as a result, there is no possibility that the inflator tilts and the stud bolt comes out of the bolt hole. In addition, since the low-rigidity portion is soft, resistance near the inflator insertion port with respect to the inflator is reduced, so that the inflator insertion work and attachment work become smooth.
Said 1st hole part is good to be provided in the substantially egg shape and the front-end | tip toward the rear-end side of an inflator. According to this configuration, the low-rigidity portion can be provided only in a range where it can be easily pressed against the inflator. The egg shape is described assuming an ellipse having a shape similar to a chicken egg.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, it becomes possible to provide the airbag apparatus which reduces the impact load applied to an inflator at the time of expansion | deployment, and is easy to insert an inflator and to be easily attached to a seat.

FIG.1 (b) is a figure which illustrates the

The inflator insertion port is devised so that the impact load is less likely to be applied to the
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating the
The
FIG. 2B is a diagram illustrating the
FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the vicinity of the
A
Reference is again made to FIG. The
FIG. 4 illustrates the process in which the
FIG. 4B is a diagram expressing the impact load of the inflated and deployed
However, in this embodiment, since the
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the vicinity of the
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the impact load applied to the inflator 108 can be reduced. Further, since the low-
In the present embodiment, the
