Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an electric motor.
As an electric motor, for example, there is an electric motor with a brush in which a plurality of magnets are arranged on the inner peripheral surface of a bottomed cylindrical yoke and an armature is rotatably provided radially inward of the magnet.
サーミスタとしては、例えばPTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient)サーミスタが採用されている。
Various elements are mounted on the electric motor described above from the viewpoint of fail-safe and the like. For example, the electric motor described in Patent Document 1 includes a brush holder unit that is fixed so as to close an opening of a substantially bottomed cylindrical yoke housing, and a thermistor is assembled to the brush holder unit.
As the thermistor, for example, a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor is employed. A PTC thermistor (hereinafter simply referred to as a thermistor) is an element whose electrical resistance increases as temperature rises. When an overload is continuously applied to the electric motor, or the rotation of the electric motor is forcibly locked. In some cases, the temperature of the thermistor rises according to the value of the current flowing through the electric motor, thereby restricting the supply of current to the armature and suppressing the burning of the electric motor.
By the way, the thermistor has a resistance value that suddenly increases when the element temperature exceeds a certain value (for example, about 180 ° C. to 200 ° C.), and the current supply to the armature is limited to a very small current value. Yes (this state is called OFF state). Therefore, depending on the temperature atmosphere in which the electric motor is driven, a difference occurs in the time to reach the OFF state (hereinafter referred to as trip time).
In this case, particularly when the electric motor is driven in a low temperature range (for example, about −30 ° C.), the trip time becomes longer than that in the case of driving at a normal temperature or a high temperature range. become longer. As a result, the electric motor may be burned out.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and provides an electric motor that can suppress burnout particularly during low-temperature driving.
In order to solve the above-described problem, the invention described in claim 1 includes at least a pair of brushes for supplying power to the armature, a thermal protection element for restricting power supply to the armature when overheated, and an end of the armature. In the electric motor provided with the pair of brushes and the brush holder unit that holds the thermal protection element, heating means for heating the thermal protection element is connected in series to the thermal protection element Features.
According to this configuration, when electric power is supplied from the external power source, a current also flows through the heating unit and the temperature of the heating unit rises, whereby the thermal protection element can be heated. Thereby, the trip time can be shortened without increasing the resistance value of the thermal protection element itself, and the thermal protection element can be quickly turned off. In this case, it is possible to reliably suppress burning of the electric motor even in a low temperature range where the temperature difference between the temperature at which the thermal protection element is turned off (OFF temperature) and the ambient temperature is large.
The invention described in
According to this configuration, since the heating unit is disposed on the side opposite to the brush with respect to the thermal protection element, the heat generated by the heating unit can be prevented from being transmitted to the brush. Thereby, it becomes possible to protect a brush from the heat which generate | occur | produced with the heating means, and it can suppress the influence on the brush accompanying the addition of a heating means.
In the invention described in
According to this configuration, since the thermal protection element is indirectly heated by the heating means, compared with the configuration in which the thermal protection element is directly heated by superimposing the main body portion and the thermal protection element. The heat transfer to the protection element becomes slow and the trip time is extended. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the trip time in the high temperature range from becoming too short and improve the balance of the trip time in each temperature range.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the heating unit is bent between the connection portion and the main body portion in a direction in which the main body portion is separated from the thermal protection element. A crank portion is provided.
According to this structure, the space | interval of a main-body part and a heat protection element is made to the whole surface direction by spacing apart a main-body part and a heat protection element via the crank part arrange | positioned between a connection part and a main-body part. Therefore, the entire surface direction of the thermal protection element can be uniformly heated by the heating means.
The invention described in
According to this structure, since the space | interval between a main-body part and a heat protection element can be maintained, a heat protection element can always be heated uniformly by a heating means.
According to the electric motor of the present invention, it is possible to suppress burnout particularly during low temperature driving.

(First embodiment)
(Electric motor)
Hereinafter, the electric motor of this embodiment is demonstrated with reference to drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of an electric motor.
An electric motor 1 shown in the figure is a motor with a brush used as a drive motor for a vehicle power window, sunroof, electric seat, wiper device, and the like. Specifically, the electric motor 1 includes a housing 4 in which a

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the

As shown in FIG. 2, the

As shown in FIG. 3, storage recesses 51 and 51 that are recessed toward one end side in the axial direction are formed on the inner side of the

Here, among the choke coils 52a and 52b, a PTC thermistor 61 (hereinafter referred to as a thermistor), which is a thermal protection element, is connected to the other end of the

The
A resistor (heating means) 66 for heating the

The connecting
The
In this case, the
And the
With this configuration, when power is supplied to the
At this time, since the external power source and the
Further, when a current flows through the winding 23 during the rotation of the
Here, in the present embodiment, the
According to this configuration, when electric power is supplied from the external power source to the winding 23, a current also flows through the
Moreover, since the
In addition, since the
Furthermore, since the
By the way, in order to shorten the trip time of the
On the other hand, in this embodiment, the trip time in the low temperature range can be shortened relatively simply by simply connecting the
Here, FIG. 5 shows the case where the
As shown in FIG. 5, it can be seen that in both the example and the comparative example, the resistance value of the

(Second Embodiment)
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining the resistor according to the second embodiment, and is a plan view corresponding to a portion A in FIG. 2. FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a thermistor and a resistor according to the second embodiment. In the above-described embodiment, the structure in which the meandering
As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the
