Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a technique for recording an image by ejecting liquid onto a recording medium, and in particular, performing main scanning a plurality of times to form a line image by ejecting liquid from a recording head moving in the main scanning direction to the recording medium. Thus, the present invention relates to an image recording technique for recording an image on a recording medium.
Patent Document 1 describes an image recording apparatus that prints an image on a recording medium by ejecting liquid ink from a nozzle included in the recording head onto a recording medium supported on a platen. The recording head of the image recording apparatus includes a plurality of nozzles arranged in the width direction (sub-scanning direction) of the recording medium and is configured to be movable in the main scanning direction orthogonal to the sub-scanning direction. Then, the recording head performs main scanning in which liquid is ejected from each nozzle toward the recording medium while moving in the main scanning direction. By this main scanning, a plurality of images (line images) for one line extending in the main scanning direction formed by one nozzle are arranged in the sub-scanning direction on the recording medium.
By the way, in the image recording apparatus as described above, a higher-resolution image can be obtained by executing a plurality of main scans. Specifically, the main scanning and the sub scanning in which the recording head is moved in the sub scanning direction are alternately executed, and a plurality of main scannings may be executed. That is, when the main scanning is completed once, the sub scanning is executed, and the recording head moves in the sub scanning direction. Further, following this sub-scanning, the main scanning is performed again, and the recording head moves in the main scanning direction. As a result, a new line image by main scanning is formed between the plurality of line images already formed by the previous main scanning. In this manner, main scanning and sub-scanning are alternately performed, and a plurality of main scans are performed, so that a new line image is formed between the previously formed line images, and a higher resolution image is formed. Can be printed.
However, when printing is performed in this manner, the following problems may occur due to the recording medium extending in the sub-scanning direction due to moisture and temperature. That is, in the configuration in which a plurality of main scans are executed as described above and a new line image is formed between a plurality of previously formed line images, the main scans are performed at different timings. Line images are adjacent to each other in the sub-scanning direction. Therefore, when attention is paid to adjacent line images, the recording medium extends in the sub-scanning direction during the period from the main scan in which one line image is formed to the main scan in which the other line image is formed. There is a possibility that a gap in which liquid (ink) is removed may occur between line images.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and performs a plurality of main scans for forming a line image by ejecting liquid from a recording head moving in the main scanning direction onto a recording medium, and is adjacent in the sub-scanning direction. An object of the present invention is to provide a technique for suppressing generation of a gap between line images in an image recording technique for forming line images by different main scans.
In order to achieve the above object, an image recording apparatus according to the present invention ejects liquid onto a supporting member that supports a recording medium and a recording medium that is supported by the supporting member while moving in the main scanning direction. A print head capable of executing a main scan for forming a line image for one line extending in the sub-scanning direction, a sub-scan moving in the sub-scan direction, and a print head alternately executing a main scan and a sub-scan. An image recording control unit that executes an image recording process for forming line images adjacent in the sub-scanning direction by different main scans, and a surface modification process for modifying the surface of the recording medium A surface reformer, a detection unit for detecting the displacement of the mark formed on the recording medium in the sub-scanning direction, and the surface modification prior to the formation of the subsequent line image to be formed later during the image recording process. Quality treatment A surface modification control unit that determines whether to perform the surface modification process based on the displacement of the mark detected by the detection unit. Is characterized in that the surface modification process is performed prior to the formation of the subsequent line image, and the image recording control unit forms the subsequent line image on the recording medium on which the surface modification process has been performed.
In order to achieve the above object, the image recording method according to the present invention produces a line image for one line extending in the main scanning direction by ejecting liquid onto the recording medium supported by the support member while moving in the main scanning direction. A plurality of main scans are executed in the sub-scanning direction by causing the recording head capable of executing the main scan to be formed and the sub-scan moving in the sub-scan direction to alternately execute the main scan and the sub-scan. In an image recording method for executing an image recording process for forming adjacent line images by different main scans, a surface modification process for performing a surface modification process for modifying the surface of the recording medium, and a recording medium formed on the recording medium The detection unit detects whether or not the surface modification process is performed prior to the formation of the subsequent line image to be formed later during the detection process for detecting the displacement of the mark in the sub-scanning direction and the image recording process. Detected machine A determination step of determining based on the displacement of the surface, and when it is determined that the surface modification process is to be executed in the determination step, the surface modification process is executed prior to the formation of the subsequent line image in the surface modification step. At the same time, the subsequent line image is executed on the recording medium on which the surface modification process has been executed.
In the invention thus configured (image recording apparatus and image recording method), a line image for one line extending in the main scanning direction is formed by ejecting liquid from the recording head while moving the recording head in the main scanning direction. The main scanning and the sub scanning for moving the recording head in the sub scanning direction are executed alternately. In this way, a plurality of main scans are executed, and line images adjacent in the sub-scanning direction are formed by different main scans (image recording process). Therefore, line images formed by main scanning executed at different timings are arranged adjacent to each other in the sub-scanning direction. In such a configuration, when the recording medium extends in the sub-scanning direction, there is a possibility that the gap as described above may occur.
In contrast, the present invention has a configuration in which the displacement of the mark formed on the recording medium is detected in order to detect the extension of the recording medium in the sub-scanning direction. The surface modification process for the recording medium is appropriately executed based on the above. Specifically, in the middle of the image recording process, whether or not to perform a surface modification process on the recording medium prior to the formation of a line image (successive line image) to be formed later from the detection result of the mark displacement. Is judged. As a result, when the recording medium extends in the sub-scanning direction, it is possible to execute surface modification processing as necessary. As a result, it is possible to increase the width of the line image and suppress the occurrence of the above-described gap.
Note that the above-described gap does not necessarily occur uniformly over the entire recording medium, and may occur partially. Therefore, the surface reformer can perform surface modification processing for each of a plurality of different areas in the sub-scanning direction of the recording medium, and the surface modification control unit executes surface modification processing for each area of the recording medium. The image recording apparatus may be configured to cause the surface reformer to execute the surface modification process on the area that is determined to perform the surface modification process. Thereby, the surface modification treatment can be executed efficiently.
In particular, in the image recording apparatus in which the image recording control unit executes only the sub scanning in which the recording head moves to one side in the sub scanning direction as the sub scanning executed in the image recording process, In the direction, it becomes conspicuous on the other side opposite to one side from the center of the recording medium (the reason will be described later). Therefore, the image modifying apparatus may be configured such that the surface modifying machine performs the surface modifying process only on the half opposite to the one side from the center of the recording medium in the sub-scanning direction.
The surface modification control unit adjusts the energy given to the recording medium by the surface modification machine for the surface modification process based on the displacement of the mark detected by the detection unit. The image recording apparatus may be configured to apply the energy adjusted by the modification control unit to the recording medium and execute the surface modification process. As described above, by adjusting the energy of the surface modification process based on the detection result of the displacement of the mark, the width of the line image can be adjusted, and the generation of the above-described gap is more effectively suppressed. be able to.
At this time, the adjusting unit may be configured so that the energy given to the recording medium by the surface modification process can be continuously adjusted along the sub-scanning direction. In such a configuration, the energy in the surface modification process can be continuously adjusted along the sub-scanning direction based on the displacement in the sub-scanning direction of the mark formed on the recording medium, and the sub-scanning of the line image can be performed. The width in the direction can be controlled with high accuracy. As a result, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of gaps between line images.
In addition, the apparatus further includes a carriage that is movable in the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction and has a recording head mounted thereon, and the recording head moves integrally with the carriage, thereby moving in the main scanning direction in the main scanning and sub-scanning. The image recording apparatus can be configured to execute movement in the sub-scanning direction. In this case, the surface reformer is mounted on the carriage and moves in the main scanning direction integrally with the carriage when the main scanning is performed, so that the subsequent line image is formed in the main scanning direction. You may comprise so that a surface modification process may be performed across. Thereby, the surface modification process can be efficiently executed in parallel with the main scanning.
The recording medium may be a paper medium. Such a paper-based medium is easily stretched by moisture such as liquid ejected from the recording head, and as a result, the above-described gap may be generated. Therefore, it is preferable to suppress the generation of the gap by applying the present invention.
The recording medium may be a film-type medium. Such a film-based medium is easily stretched depending on the temperature, and as a result, the above-described gap may be generated. Therefore, it is preferable to suppress the generation of the gap by applying the present invention.

In this way, the sheet S fed out from the
The printing process in the printing chamber 3 is executed by the
FIG. 2 is a plan view partially showing the configuration of the recording unit. As shown in FIG. 2, on the lower surface of the
On the lower surface of the
Returning to FIG. 1, the description will be continued. The
Then, printing is executed by moving the
That is, when the
In this way, one printing is executed by executing a plurality of main scans. Here, one main scan is referred to as “pass”, and one printing executed by a plurality of passes is referred to as “frame”. Further, an intermediate generated image formed on the sheet S in one pass is referred to as “one pass image”.
The reason why the main scanning and the sub scanning are alternately repeated is to improve the resolution. That is, by executing M passes and superimposing M one-pass images, it is possible to obtain an image for one frame having a resolution M times that of the one-pass image. Therefore, the
Incidentally, the
The printing of one frame as described above is repeatedly executed while the sheet S is moved intermittently in the X-axis direction. Specifically, a predetermined range over almost the entire upper surface of the
In order to keep the sheet S stopped on the upper surface of the
Further, a
In this way, on the upper surface of the
As described above, the printing / drying process is performed on the sheet S by the
The
Then, as will be described in detail later, the
The

The above is the outline of the apparatus configuration included in the
As described above, the
このメディア230としては、CD(Compact Disc)、DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)、USB(Universal Serial Bus)メモリー等の種々のメディアを用いることができる。
In addition, the
Furthermore, the
具体例を挙げると、紙系には上質紙、キャスト紙、アート紙、コート紙等があり、フィルム系には合成紙、PET(Polyethylene terephthalate)、PP(polypropylene)等がある。
The type of print medium (that is, sheet S) is broadly classified into paper and film. Specific examples include high-quality paper, cast paper, art paper, coated paper, and the like for paper, and synthetic paper, PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PP (polypropylene), and the like for film. As the size of the print medium, the width of the sheet S (width in the Y-axis direction) is set. The print quality can be set by selecting one print mode from a plurality of print modes prepared according to the printing resolution. An example is as follows. That is, in the
The
Further, the
The control signal generated by the host control unit 211 and the print data generated by the
The
On the other hand, the mechanical controller 420 mainly controls a function of controlling the intermittent conveyance of the sheet S and the driving of the
Then, the head controller 410 and the mechanical controller 420 perform these controls as appropriate while synchronizing them, so that the number of passes corresponding to the resolution is executed for the sheet S that is intermittently conveyed, and 1 frame Minutes of printing. As a result, an image for one frame having a desired resolution is printed on the sheet S.
The mechanical controller 420 can execute various controls in addition to the above-described control for the printing process. Specifically, the mechanical controller 420 detects the on / off state of the power switch SW, and executes the activation process of each unit of the
The above is the outline of the electrical configuration of the printing system of FIG. Next, details of the printing operation executed in the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 is a diagram schematically illustrating a printing operation in the first embodiment. In the example of the figure, an operation for printing an image for one frame in four passes in an effective print region IR having a predetermined width in the X-axis direction is shown. In each column of “first pass” to “fourth pass”, the
As shown in the column “First Pass” in the figure, in the first pass, the
When this sub-scanning is completed, the
By executing four passes in this way, one nozzle 35 forms four line images L1 to L4 adjacent to each other in the Y-axis direction. Then, each of the plurality of nozzles 35 executes this operation, so that line images L1 to L4 are repeatedly formed in the Y-axis direction. Thus, an image for one frame having a resolution four times that of the one-pass image is printed.
By the way, in this embodiment, as described above, the main scanning and the sub-scanning are alternately executed by the
In the first pass (that is, the first pass) among the four passes constituting one frame, the mark M1 is formed on the sheet S prior to the formation of the line image L1. That is, when the
The mark M1 thus formed is detected by the optical sensor So. That is, the optical sensor So is disposed on the outer side of the effective print region IR in the negative direction of the X axis so as to face the upper surface of the
Then, the mechanical controller 420 determines whether or not to execute the surface modification process by the
Specifically, when the mark M1 is formed in the first pass, the mechanical controller 420 stores the initial position of the mark M1 (the position of the mark M1 at the time of formation). Subsequently, when the formation of the line image L1 in the first pass is completed, the mechanical controller 420 compares the position of the mark M1 at this time with the initial position, and the displacement of the mark M1 caused by the formation of the line image L1. Find the amount. Then, the mechanical controller 420 determines whether or not to execute the surface modification process by the
On the other hand, when it is determined that the surface modification process is to be performed, the surface modification process is performed over the entire effective print region IR of the sheet S prior to the formation of the line image L2. Specifically, this surface modification process is executed in parallel with the main scanning of the second pass following the first pass. That is, when the
When the second pass is thus completed, the third pass is subsequently executed. When the formation of the line image L3 is completed in the third pass, the mechanical controller 420 obtains the displacement amount of the mark M1 from the initial position at this time. Subsequently, in the same manner as described above, the mechanical controller 420 performs surface modification processing by the
In the embodiment configured as described above, main scanning for forming line images L1 to L4 by ejecting liquid from the
With respect to such a problem, this embodiment has a configuration in which the displacement of the mark M1 formed on the sheet S is detected in order to detect the extension of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction. Based on the detection result of the displacement of M1, the surface modification process for the sheet S is appropriately executed. Specifically, during the one-frame printing process (image recording process) for printing an image for one frame, the line images L2 to L4 (subsequent line images) to be formed later are detected from the detection result of the displacement of the mark M1. It is determined whether or not to perform the surface modification process on the sheet S prior to forming the sheet. As a result, when the sheet S extends in the Y-axis direction, it is possible to perform surface modification processing as necessary. As a result, it is possible to increase the width of the line images L2 to L4 and suppress the occurrence of the aforementioned gap.
In the above-described embodiment, the
In this embodiment, the mark M1 is formed on the sheet S by the
In this embodiment, the mark M1 is formed on the sheet S by ejecting liquid onto the sheet S by the
By the way, in the configuration in which the line images L1 to L4 are formed by ejecting liquid onto the sheet S as described above, the amount of liquid adhering to the sheet S increases every time the line images L1 to L4 are formed, and the sheet S is Y. It tends to grow in the axial direction. In this case, it is preferable to reflect such elongation of the sheet S generated by the formation of the line images L1 to L4 in the displacement of the mark M1.
Therefore, in this embodiment, in the first-pass main scanning in which the mark M1 is formed, the line image L1 is formed after the mark M1 is formed. Therefore, the elongation of the sheet S generated when the line image L1 is formed can be reflected in the displacement of the mark M1. As a result, it is possible to more reliably suppress the occurrence of the above-described gap.
In this embodiment, the mark M1 is formed during the execution of the first main scan (first pass) among the plurality of main scans (four passes). With this configuration, the elongation of the sheet S that occurs when the image lines L1 to L4 are formed in each main scan can be reflected in the displacement of the mark M1. As a result, it is possible to more reliably suppress the occurrence of the above-described gap.
In this embodiment, the optical sensor So has a line sensor in which the longitudinal direction of the detection region Rs is arranged in parallel to the Y-axis direction. Based on the result of detection of the mark by the line sensor, the optical sensor So A displacement in the Y-axis direction is detected. By using such a line sensor, the displacement of the mark M1 in the Y-axis direction can be reliably captured.
As described above, as the sheet S, both a paper-based medium and a film-based medium can be used. Note that the paper-based medium is easily stretched by moisture such as liquid ejected from the
Second Embodiment By the way, how the sheet S extends may vary depending on the position in the Y-axis direction. Therefore, in the second embodiment to be described below, the plurality of marks M1 are formed at different positions in the Y-axis direction, whereby the difference in how the sheet S extends at different positions in the Y-axis direction is different from that of the mark M1. It can be detected by displacement. Further, the
Next, details of the second embodiment having such a configuration will be described. In the following description, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described, but description of common portions will be omitted as appropriate. However, it is needless to say that the same effects as those of the first embodiment can be achieved in the second embodiment by providing the configuration common to the first embodiment. This also applies to the third to sixth embodiments described following the second embodiment.
FIG. 6 is a diagram schematically illustrating a printing operation according to the second embodiment. Also in the example of FIG. 6, as in FIG. 4, the
Also in the second embodiment, the mark M1 is formed on the sheet S prior to the formation of the line image L1 in the first pass (that is, the first pass) of the four passes constituting one frame. However, unlike the first embodiment, each of the plurality of nozzles 35 provided on the
On the other hand, as described above, the
In the second embodiment, the detection region Rs of the optical sensor So (line sensor) is provided over the entire area where the plurality of marks M1 are arranged in the Y-axis direction, and information regarding the position of each of the plurality of marks M1 is provided. Sent from the optical sensor So to the mechanical controller 420. Based on the position information of each mark M1, the mechanical controller 420 executes surface modification processing by the
That is, when a plurality of marks M1 are formed in the first pass, the mechanical controller 420 stores the initial position of each mark M1 (the position of each mark M1 at the time of formation). Subsequently, when the formation of the line image L1 in the first pass is completed, the mechanical controller 420 obtains the displacement amount of each mark M1 from the initial position at this time. Further, the mechanical controller 420 calculates an average value of the displacement amounts of the k marks M1 formed for each region R82. In this way, the average displacement amount of the k marks M1 is calculated for each of the plurality of regions R82. Then, the mechanical controller 420 determines that the surface modification process is performed on the region R82 in which the average displacement amount of the k marks M1 is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value, while the average displacement amount of the k marks M1 is predetermined. It is determined that the surface modification process is not performed for the region R82 that is less than the threshold value.
In the subsequent second pass, the surface modification process is performed on the region R82 that is determined to perform the surface modification process prior to the formation of the line image L2. Specifically, soon after the second pass, when the
When this second pass is completed, the third pass is subsequently executed. When the formation of the line image L3 is completed in the third pass, the mechanical controller 420 obtains the displacement amount of the mark M1 from the initial position at this time. Subsequently, in the same manner as described above, the mechanical controller 420 performs surface modification processing by the
As described above, the second embodiment also includes a configuration for detecting the displacement of the mark M1 formed on the sheet S in order to detect the extension of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction. Based on the detection result of the displacement, the surface modification process for the sheet S is appropriately executed. As a result, even when the sheet S extends in the Y-axis direction, it is possible to increase the width of the line images L2 to L4 and suppress the occurrence of the above-described gap.
Further, the second embodiment has the following configuration in response to the fact that the above-mentioned gap does not necessarily occur uniformly over the entire recording medium but may occur partially. Yes. That is, the
In the example shown in the second embodiment, all of the plurality of nozzles 35 provided in the
Third Embodiment By the way, as described above, due to the way in which the sheet S extends depending on the position in the Y-axis direction, the above-described gap generation mode is different from the positive side of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction. May be different on the side. Specifically, it is as follows.
That is, the expansion of the sheet S occurs so that both ends in the Y-axis direction are widened with the central portion in the Y-axis direction as the center. Therefore, the positive side of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction moves more widely to the positive side, and the negative side of the sheet S moves in a more negative direction. The
Therefore, the first and second embodiments may be modified such that the surface modification process is performed only on the half of the negative direction of the Y axis from the center of the sheet S. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5, the
Incidentally, the width of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction is not always constant, and printing processing can be performed on the sheets S having various widths. On the other hand, if the
Fourth Embodiment FIG. 7 is a diagram schematically showing a printing operation in the fourth embodiment. In the example of FIG. 7 as well, the
Since the operations of the first pass and the second pass in the fourth embodiment are the same as those in the first embodiment, they will be omitted and the operations after the third pass will be mainly described. As described above, in the fourth embodiment, in the third pass, the mark M3 is formed prior to the formation of the line image L3. At this time, when the mark M3 is formed in the third pass, the mechanical controller 420 stores the initial position of the mark M3 (the position of the mark M3 at the time of formation). Subsequently, when the formation of the line image L3 in the third pass is completed, the mechanical controller 420 obtains the displacement amount of the mark M3 from the initial position at this time. When the displacement amount of the mark M3 is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value, it is determined that the surface modification process is performed. On the other hand, when the displacement amount of the mark M1 is less than the predetermined threshold value, it is determined that the surface modification process is not performed. To do. If it is determined not to execute the surface modification process, the fourth pass is executed as it is to form the line image L4.
On the other hand, if it is determined that the surface modification process is to be performed, the surface modification process is performed over the entire effective print region IR of the sheet S prior to the formation of the line image L4. Specifically, the same operation as the second pass in the first embodiment is executed in the fourth pass. In this way, the fourth pass is executed while forming the line image L4 on the sheet S on which the surface modification process has been performed, and printing for one frame is completed.
As described above, the fourth embodiment also has a configuration in which the displacement of the marks M1 and M3 formed on the sheet S is detected in order to detect the elongation of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction. Based on the detection results of the displacements of M1 and M3, the surface modification process for the sheet S is appropriately executed. As a result, even when the sheet S extends in the Y-axis direction, it is possible to increase the width of the line images L2 to L4 and suppress the occurrence of the above-described gap.
Fifth Embodiment FIG. 8 is a diagram schematically showing a printing operation in the fifth embodiment. In the example of FIG. 8 as well, the
In the fifth embodiment,
In the fifth embodiment, marks M1 to M3 are formed on the sheet S prior to the formation of the line images L1 to L3 in the first to third passes among the four passes constituting one frame. As a result, the marks M1 and M3 are formed outside the effective printing region IR in the negative X-axis direction, while the mark M2 is formed outside the effective printing region IR in the positive X-axis direction. Corresponding to the formation positions of such marks M1 to M3, optical sensors So (line sensors) are arranged on both outer sides in the X-axis direction of the effective printing area IR, and detection areas of the respective optical sensors So. Rs1 and Rs2 are located. As a result, the marks M1 and M3 are detected in the detection region Rs1, and the position information of the marks M1 and M3 is output to the mechanical controller 420. Further, the mark M2 is detected in the detection region Rs2, and the position information of each mark M2 is output to the mechanical controller 420.
In the fifth embodiment having such a configuration, in the (n + 1) th pass, the determination as to whether or not to perform the surface modification process prior to the formation of the line image Ln is made in the nth pass. It is determined based on the displacement of the mark Mn. Here, n is a positive integer, the mark formed in the nth pass is displayed as Mn, and the line image formed in the nth pass is displayed as Ln.
That is, when the mark Mn is formed in the nth pass, the mechanical controller 420 stores the initial position of the mark Mn (the position of the mark Mn at the time of formation). Subsequently, when the formation of the line image Ln in the n-th pass is completed, the mechanical controller 420 obtains a displacement amount from the initial position of the mark Mn at this time. Then, in the same manner as described above, the mechanical controller 420 performs surface modification processing by the
As described above, the fifth embodiment also includes a configuration in which the displacement of the marks M1 to M3 formed on the sheet S is detected in order to detect the extension of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction. Based on the detection results of the displacements M1 to M3, the surface modification process for the sheet S is appropriately executed. As a result, even when the sheet S extends in the Y-axis direction, it is possible to increase the width of the line images L2 to L4 and suppress the occurrence of the above-described gap.
Sixth Embodiment FIG. 9 is a diagram schematically showing a printing operation in the sixth embodiment. In the example of FIG. 9 as well, the
Unlike the above embodiment, in the sixth embodiment, the optical sensor So is attached to the
In the first pass, the line image L1 is formed after the mark M1 is formed. At this time, as the
When the first pass is completed, the second pass is executed to form a line image L2. In the second pass, the detection area Rs of the optical sensor So passes through the mark M1 as the
Further, the mechanical controller 420 performs surface modification processing by the
As described above, the sixth embodiment also has a configuration in which the displacement of the marks M1 to M3 formed on the sheet S is detected in order to detect the extension of the sheet S in the Y-axis direction. Based on the detection result of the displacement of M1, the surface modification process for the sheet S is appropriately executed. As a result, even when the sheet S extends in the Y-axis direction, it is possible to increase the width of the line images L3 and L4 to suppress the above-described gap generation.

Others As described above, the
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications can be made to the above-described one without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, in the above embodiment, the mechanical controller 420 determines whether or not the surface modification process is performed by the
At this time, the energy in the surface modification treatment may be continuously adjusted along the Y-axis direction of the sheet S. With this configuration, it is possible to adjust the width of the line image and suppress the occurrence of a gap between them.
Specifically, the
In these configurations, the surface of the earth electrode roller 81 and the surface of the
In the first to fourth embodiments, the
In the above embodiment, the
In the above embodiment, in each sub-scan executed in one frame, the
That is, after the first pass line image L1 is formed, sub-scanning is performed in which the

However, the number of passes constituting one frame printing is not limited to four passes as long as it is plural.
In the above embodiment, the marks M 1 to M 3 are formed on the sheet S by the
In the above embodiment, the
Moreover, in the said embodiment, surface modification was performed by the corona treatment. However, the surface modification may be performed by a method other than the corona treatment, for example, plasma treatment.
In the above embodiment, a line sensor is used to configure the detection unit. However, you may comprise a detection part using sensors other than a line sensor. In short, it is sufficient if the marks M1 to M3 formed on the sheet S can be detected.
Further, in the above-described embodiment, the case where the present invention is applied to an inkjet printer using a piezo method has been described. However, it goes without saying that the present invention can also be applied to an ink jet printer using a thermal method.
