Abstract
【解決手段】反射部材と、透光性を有する封止部材と、反射部材と封止部材との間に形成された発光素子とを有し、発光素子は第1の透明電極と、第2の透明電極と、第1の透明電極と第2の透明電極との間に形成されたEL層とからなり、反射部材は、第1の透明電極の電気抵抗より小さい電気抵抗及び凹凸部を有する反射電極と反射電極を覆って平坦化する平坦化膜とを備え、平坦化膜には反射電極にまで達する貫通孔が設けられており、貫通孔を介して反射電極と第1の透明電極とが電気的に接続している発光装置を提供する。

Description
図1は本発明の一態様である発光装置の断面及び上面の模式図であり、図1(A)は図1(B)における(a)−(b)断面を拡大して示したものである。図1においては、凹凸を有する支持体100の凹凸面に接して反射電極102が形成され、またその反射電極102を覆って平坦化膜103が形成されることによって反射部材120が構成されている。反射電極102の表面は、支持体100の凹凸を反映して凹凸が形成されているが、反射部材120の表面は、当該反射電極102の凹凸を平坦化膜103が覆っていることにより、凹凸形状が緩和された状態となっている。
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様により形成された発光装置を用いた照明装置について図15(A)及び図15(B)を用いて説明する。

Claims (11)
- 反射部材と、
透光性を有する封止部材と、
前記反射部材と前記封止部材との間に形成された発光素子とを有し、
前記発光素子は第1の透明電極と、第2の透明電極と、前記第1の透明電極と前記第2の透明電極との間に形成されたEL層とからなり、
前記反射部材は、凹凸部及び前記第1の透明電極の電気抵抗より小さい電気抵抗を有する反射電極と、前記反射電極を覆って平坦化する平坦化膜とを備え、
前記反射電極と前記第1の透明電極とが電気的に接続している発光装置。 - 請求項1において、前記反射電極と前記第1の透明電極とは前記平坦化膜に設けられた貫通孔を介して電気的に接続している発光装置。
- 請求項2において、
前記第2の透明電極と前記EL層との間には、前記貫通孔に対応して絶縁層が形成されている発光装置。 - 請求項2において、
前記第2の透明電極は、前記貫通孔に対応する部分に開口部を有する発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一項において、
前記平坦化膜は導電性を有する有機樹脂によって形成されている発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一項において、前記平坦化膜の屈折率が1.6〜2.0である発光装置。
- 請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一項において、
前記反射部材は、絶縁基板と導電性を有する反射電極との積層構造を有し、
前記絶縁基板は凹凸を有しており、
前記反射電極の凹凸形状は、前記絶縁基板の凹凸形状に対応して形成されている発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一項において、
前記反射部材は、絶縁基板と、導電性を有する反射電極との積層構造を有し、
前記絶縁基板は平坦であり、
前記反射電極には凹凸が形成されている発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか一項において、
前記反射電極を構成する材料は銀、アルミニウム、金、ニッケル、白金、錫、銅、マグネシウム、パラジウム、若しくはこれらの中からの少なくとも一つを含む化合物、合金又はステンレス鋼である発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか一項において、
前記反射部材の凹凸における粗さ曲線要素の平均高さRcは0.01μm以上100μm以下であり、
前記反射部材の凹凸における隣り合う山頂間の距離は0.1μm以上100μm以下である発光装置。 - 請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか一項に記載の発光装置を用いた照明装置。
