Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a heat transport device that absorbs heat from a high-temperature part in an electronic device and transports and diffuses the heat to a low-temperature part, and particularly relates to a sheet-like heat pipe installed in an extremely narrow space in the electronic device.

Mobile electronic devices tend to be thinner in addition to higher functionality, and the installation space for heat transport devices in mobile electronic devices is severely limited by the development of new types of devices. For this reason, realization of the further thinning of a sheet-like heat pipe has been a problem.
As a heat pipe structure capable of solving this problem, a structure in which the two pressure-
However, the conventional sheet-
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to realize a thin sheet-like heat pipe that is thinner than a conventional sheet-like heat pipe and has high heat transport / diffusion performance.
In order to solve the above problems, a thin sheet-like heat pipe of the present invention has a sealed sheet-like container, and a flow path forming sheet accommodated together with a working fluid in the container, and the flow path formation The sheet has a gas phase flow path serving as a flow path for the evaporated working fluid and a liquid phase flow path serving as a flow path for the condensed working fluid, and the liquid phase flow path contains the working fluid. The gas phase flow path has a plurality of main flow paths extending radially from a position overlapping with the heat receiving portion, the main flow paths are partitioned by the wick, and the plurality of the main flow paths are partitioned by the wick. The wick is present in a portion where the main flow paths gather.
According to this configuration, a sheet-like heat pipe having a smaller thickness than the conventional one can be realized by omitting the pressure-resistant sheet provided in the conventional container to prevent the container surface from being dented. . Since it is not necessary to arrange a pressure-resistant sheet together with the flow path forming sheet in the container, manufacturing is easy. In addition, since the main flow path constituting the gas phase flow path extends radially from the position where it overlaps the heat receiving part, all the main flow paths always overlap with the heat receiving part even when a large contact area with the heat source cannot be secured. In addition, an isolated gas phase flow path that does not overlap with the heat receiving portion does not occur. Therefore, even if the width of the main flow path is reduced, high heat transport / diffusion performance can be exhibited, and a dent due to atmospheric pressure does not occur on the container surface even though the pressure-resistant sheet is omitted. In addition, since the wick is continuously present from any position to the heat receiving portion without being divided, the condensed working fluid is smoothly returned to the heat receiving portion. In addition, the presence of the wick at the portion where the main flow paths gather prevents the formation of a large space due to the collection of the main flow paths in the container, and prevents the occurrence of dents due to atmospheric pressure on the container surface. it can.
In addition, it is desirable that the width of at least one main channel among the plurality of main channels is gradually narrowed toward the tip in the portion where the plurality of main channels gather.
According to this configuration, as many wicks as possible exist in the portion where the main flow paths gather, and the space formed there can be made as small as possible. When a plurality of main flow paths having a constant width over the entire length are arranged radially and collected in one place, a large space is formed at the gathered place. If this space is large, the container tends to collapse, but this configuration can prevent it very effectively.
In the thin sheet heat pipe of the present invention, in the portion where the plurality of main channels gather, two of the plurality of main channels communicate linearly, and among the plurality of main channels This includes four that communicate in a cross shape.
Moreover, it is desirable that the gas-phase flow path has an extension extending along the peripheral edge from the peripheral edge of the flow path forming sheet.
Further, it is desirable that the extension portion communicates with another main channel or an extension portion of another main channel.
Moreover, it is preferable that the gas phase flow path has at least one sub flow path in which each main flow path branches from itself toward the adjacent main flow path.
In the thin sheet heat pipe of the present invention, the gas phase flow path has a comb-shaped flow path including a plurality of sub flow paths branched from the main flow paths toward the main flow paths adjacent to the main flow paths. It is desirable that the comb-like channels extending from the main channels adjacent to each other are arranged so as to mesh with each other, and the comb-like channels are partitioned by the wick.
According to this configuration, the working fluid evaporated by the heat from the heat source is efficiently diffused throughout the flow path forming sheet through the main flow path and the comb-shaped flow path constituting the gas phase flow path, and the condensed working fluid is discharged from the wick. It can be smoothly refluxed to the heat receiving part through the liquid phase flow path.
In the thin sheet heat pipe of the present invention, it is desirable that the wick exists over the entire periphery of the peripheral edge of the flow path forming sheet. According to this configuration, the working fluid is smoothly recirculated from the peripheral edge portion of the flow path forming sheet to the heat receiving portion.
The flow path forming sheet is preferably movable in the container. Since the flow path forming sheet is movable with respect to the container, the strain can be absorbed when the heat pipe is bent, and the blockage of the space due to buckling can be prevented.
The flow path forming sheet may be formed by bending a string-like wick.
The working fluid is preferably water. Since water has a large latent heat, good heat transport / diffusion performance can be obtained by using water as a working fluid. In addition, there are advantages that it is inexpensive, safe, and has a low environmental load.

Hereinafter, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described.
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view showing an example of a thin sheet heat pipe of the present invention.
The thin sheet-like heat pipe 1 of this embodiment has a flow
The flow
Since the internal pressure of the
The operation of the thin sheet heat pipe 1 will be described with reference to FIG. When the heat receiving part H is heated by the heat source, the saturated vapor pressure of the working fluid in the heat receiving part H increases and the working fluid evaporates. Since the heat input at this time is absorbed as the latent heat of vaporization of the working fluid, the temperature rise of the heat receiving portion H can be suppressed to an extremely low level. The evaporated working fluid diffuses in the gas
This thin sheet-shaped heat pipe 1 has the conventional sheet-shaped heat pipe shown in FIG. It is even thinner than that. Moreover, since it is not necessary to arrange | position a pressure | voltage resistant sheet with the flow-
Moreover, since the
In addition, since the flow
Further, by using water with a large latent heat as the working fluid, good heat transport / diffusion performance can be obtained. In addition, there are advantages that it is inexpensive, safe, and has a low environmental load.
In the above example, the heat receiving portion H is provided at the center of the thin sheet heat pipe 1, but the position of the heat receiving portion H differs depending on the positional relationship between the thin sheet heat pipe 1 and the heat source. As illustrated in FIG. 3, the heat receiving portion H may be provided at the end of the thin sheet heat pipe 1. In either case, high heat transport / diffusion performance can be realized by providing the
FIG. 4 shows another example of the flow
According to this configuration, the working fluid evaporated by the heat from the heat source is efficiently diffused and condensed through the
In the example of FIG. 4, the heat receiving portion H is provided at the center of the thin sheet heat pipe 1, but when the heat source is in contact with a position other than the center of the heat pipe 1, Similarly, a portion in contact with the heat source may be a heat receiving portion H, and the
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. In particular, the configuration of the flow

Moreover, in the said embodiment, although water is used as a working fluid, it is also possible to use another working fluid.
