Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sterilization management and tracking management system for medical equipment using a barcode, and more particularly, sterilization management of medical equipment capable of accurately and simply managing that sterilization processing has been performed properly with a certain criterion. And a tracking management system.
Conventionally, it is known to manage medical equipment using a barcode. Patent Document 1 discloses that a computer database is provided by attaching a barcode to a medical device in order to prevent supply shortage and omission of recovery of medical device and to supply a sterilized medical device to a department in use. Print a list with the barcodes for each required medical device at the time of supply, recovery, and sterilization, and read and collate the barcodes of the same list with the barcodes of each medical device. "Check the correctness of the required number and type, and record each processing date, sterilization data, and each worker name in the database" (summary column).
However, in the management method described in Patent Document 1, the correctness of the number and type of medical equipment can be confirmed by reading barcodes at the time of supply, recovery, and sterilization. It is not possible to determine directly whether or not this has been done properly. That is, it can be judged for the first time based on the result of monitoring the temperature, pressure, and time in the sterilizer with a separate sensor. Therefore, if there is a problem with the sensor or if the specified temperature and pressure are not generated at a location other than the monitoring location, it is determined whether or not appropriate sterilization has been performed on each medical device subjected to sterilization. Can not do it.
On the other hand, there is known a method of confirming completion of sterilization treatment by attaching an indicator that changes color by sterilization treatment to a package containing medical equipment and visually checking the discoloration. Patent Document 2 discloses that “one or more kinds of water-insoluble or hardly soluble bismuth compounds selected from bismuth sesquioxide, basic bismuth carbonate, bismuth hydroxide, basic bismuth nitrate, and basic bismuth acetate, and thiourea. A composition comprising one or more thiourea compounds selected from methylthiourea, ethylthiourea, trimethylthiourea, tolylthiourea, diphenylthiourea, ditolylthiourea, phenylthiourea, and methylolthiourea, and a synthetic rubber resin. The wet heat detection indicator, characterized in that it is covered on a sheet base material by a substantially transparent synthetic resin. "(Claims) Therefore, it is possible to determine whether each medical device has been appropriately sterilized by attaching the indicator to the package and sterilizing.
However, in the indicator described in Patent Document 2, since the completion of the sterilization process is determined by visually observing the degree of discoloration, it is necessary for the administrator to visually check the indicator for each medical device, and an artificial determination is required. There is a risk of errors and input errors. It is necessary to avoid human error as much as possible in medical institutions that require advanced management systems.
Therefore, the sterilization management and tracking management system for medical equipment using bar codes, and particularly, the sterilization management and tracking of medical equipment that can accurately and easily manage that sterilization processing has been performed properly with certain criteria. Development of a management system is desired.
The present invention relates to a sterilization management and tracking management system for medical equipment using a barcode, and more particularly, sterilization management of medical equipment capable of accurately and simply managing that sterilization processing has been performed properly with a certain criterion. And to provide a tracking management system.
As a result of intensive research to achieve the above object, the present inventor has obtained a barcode that can be read before and after sterilization by using a specific barcode and undergoing sterilization to chemically change the barcode. The tracking management system is divided into the following two modes in detail.
<< System of the first aspect >>
The system of the first aspect is a system for managing medical equipment by sticking one barcode to a package containing medical equipment to be sterilized and reading the barcode with a barcode reader,
Part of the barcode is (1) printed with indicator ink that cannot be read before sterilization and can be read after sterilization, or (2) can be read before sterilization It is printed with indicator ink that cannot be read after processing,
The remainder of the barcode can be read both before and after sterilization,
Determine that the sterilization process is complete based on the change in the bar code that can be read before and after the sterilization process,
It is a system that performs tracking management after sterilization processing by a bar code that can be read after sterilization processing.
1 and 2 show the system of the first aspect. In FIG. 1, the barcode in the frame (sterilization determination unit) cannot be read before the sterilization process, but after the sterilization process, the barcode is displayed and can be read. The bar code (00000000000001) before the sterilization process records the type and delivery destination of the medical device, and 550 is added to the bar code after the sterilization process (55000000000000001). By adding 550 and reading, it is managed that the sterilization process is completed, and after the sterilization process, the bar code (55000000000000001) can be read and managed.
In FIG. 2, the barcode in the frame (sterilization determination unit) can be read before the sterilization process, but after the sterilization process, the barcode disappears and cannot be read. The part (00000000000001) excluding 550 of the barcode (55000000000000001) before sterilization records the type and delivery destination of the medical device, and 550 is excluded from the barcode after sterilization (00000000000001). By reading except 550, it is managed that the sterilization process is completed, and after the sterilization process, the bar code (00000000000001) can be read and managed.
<< System of the second aspect >>
In the system of the second aspect, barcode A and barcode B are affixed to a package containing medical equipment to be sterilized, and the barcode A and barcode B are read by a barcode reader. A system to manage,
The barcode A is (1) printed with an indicator ink that cannot be read before sterilization and can be read after sterilization, or (2) can be read before sterilization and after sterilization It is printed with indicator ink that cannot be read,

It is determined that the sterilization process is completed based on whether or not the barcode A can be read before and after the sterilization process,
It is a system for performing tracking management after sterilization processing by the bar code B.
FIG. 3 shows a barcode A used in the system of the second aspect. The bar code in the upper diagram of FIG. 3 can be read before the sterilization process, but after the sterilization process, the bar code disappears and cannot be read. 3 cannot be read before the sterilization process, but after the sterilization process, the bar code is displayed and can be read.
As described above, in the second aspect, it is possible to manage that the sterilization process is completed by changing whether or not the barcode A can be read before and after the sterilization process. A barcode B (separately readable before and after sterilization) provided separately from the barcode A records the type and delivery destination of the medical device. Tracking management can be performed. Note that the types of barcode A and barcode B used in the second mode are not only one-dimensional barcodes as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, but also vertical and horizontal directions as exemplified in FIG. Any two-dimensional barcode that can record information may be used.
In the medical device sterilization management and tracking management system according to the first aspect and the second aspect of the present invention, whether or not the sterilization process is properly performed can be read by a bar code that changes before and after the sterilization process. Therefore, it is possible to manage accurately and simply based on a certain criterion, so that it is possible to avoid occurrence of human error (judgment error / input error) in sterilization management. In addition, since the medical device after sterilization can be tracked and managed by a bar code that can be read after sterilization, the item, quantity, storage location, etc. of the medical device can be confirmed in real time.

By mixing each component shown in Table 1 and Table 2 uniformly, a total of 18 types of discolorable inks of Examples 1 to 14 and Comparative Examples 1 to 4 were prepared.
As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, Examples 10 and 11 and Comparative Example 3 were passed through a 250 mesh silk screen plate using a part of one barcode (the part that changed color before and after sterilization) using each of the above-described color-changing inks. Printed on white PET, otherwise on fine paper. Further, the remaining part of the barcode was printed with an ink that did not change color before and after sterilization and could be read before and after sterilization.
(Sterilization test)
The 20 types of barcodes prepared above were used for either (1) high-pressure steam sterilization, (2) hydrogen peroxide plasma sterilization, or (3) ethylene oxide gas sterilization under the sterilization conditions shown in Tables 1 and 2. did. Hydrogen peroxide plasma sterilization was performed using “STERRAD50” manufactured by Johnson & Johnson. Tables 1 and 2 show the state of discoloration before and after sterilization and whether or not the completion of the sterilization process can be managed by the barcode. The case where it was possible to read with a barcode reader (manufactured by Wellcat, Stream7-USB) and the case where sterilization management and tracking management were possible with a barcode was evaluated as ○.
