Abstract
【解決手段】少なくともカチオン性水溶性単量体を含む単量体溶液を、油中水型エマルジョンを調製した後重合して得られる、水への膨潤後の粒径が0.005〜100μmの水不溶性微粒子ゲルを主成分とする填料処理剤を、予め填料と混合して填料水性分散液を調整し、これを製紙原料スラリーに添加し抄紙する。

V−601)2.0g(対単量体0.5質量%)を加え、重合反応を開始させた。反応温度を42±2℃で12時間重合させ反応を完結させた。重合後、生成した油中水型エマルジョンに転相剤としてポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレンアルキルエ−テル10.0g(対液2.0質量%)を添加混合した。その後、B型粘度計により製品粘度を測定すると、400mPa・sであった。得られたエマルジョン溶液に、1000質量%のアセトンを添加して油相を除去する操作を行った後、沈殿物をろ過により回収することで水不溶性微粒子ゲルを固形分として単離した。その固形分を水により1質量%に希釈し、2時間攪拌することで分散液を作成した。1質量%分散液中の膨潤後の水不溶性微粒子ゲルの粒径を、動的光散乱法(大塚電子株式会社、ELSZ−2)により測定し、Cumulant法にて解析したところ、平均粒径1.5μmを示した。この水不溶性微粒子ゲルを化合物1とする。
記)50%水溶液71.4g、メチレンビスアクリルアミド0.59g(対単量体3600ppm)、イオン交換水19.1gを各々採取し、混合し完全に溶解させた。その後油と水溶液を混合し、ホモジナイザーにて1000rpmで15分間攪拌乳化した。この時の単量体組成は、DADMAC/AAM=50/50(モル%)である。
V−601)0.23g(対単量体0.2質量%)を加え、重合反応を開始させた。反応温度を42±2℃で12時間重合させ反応を完結させた。重合後、生成した油中水型エマルジョンに転相剤としてポリオキシエチレンポリオキシプロピレンアルキルエ−テル3.0g(対液1質量%)を添加混合した。その後、B型粘度計により製品粘度を測定すると、150mPa・sであった。得られたエマルジョン溶液に、1000質量%のアセトンを添加して油相を除去する操作を行った後、沈殿物をろ過により回収することで水不溶性微粒子ゲルを固形分として単離した。その固形分を水により1質量%に希釈し、2時間攪拌することで分散液を作成した。1質量%分散液中の膨潤後の水不溶性微粒子ゲルの粒径を、動的光散乱法(大塚電子株式会社、ELSZ−2)による測定を行い、Cumulant法にて解析したところ、平均粒径2.0μmを示した。この水不溶性微粒子ゲルを化合物2とする。

Claims (7)
- 少なくともカチオン性水溶性単量体を重合した構成単位を含む水不溶性微粒子ゲルを主成分とする填料水性分散液に添加する填料処理剤。
- 前記請求項1に記載の水不溶性微粒子ゲルが、油中水型エマルジョン重合法により得られたものであることを特徴とする填料処理剤。
- 前記水不溶性微粒子ゲルが、油中水型エマルジョン重合時に単量体総量に対し
質量換算で100〜20000ppmの架橋剤を共存させることにより得られたものであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の填料処理剤。 - 前記請求項1に記載の水不溶性微粒子ゲルの水への膨潤後の粒径が、0.005〜100μmであることを特徴とする填料処理剤。
- 前記請求項1に記載のカチオン性水溶性単量体が、ジアリルジメチルアンモニウム塩であることを特徴とする填料処理剤。
- 前記請求項1〜5に記載の填料処理剤を含有する填料水性分散液。
- 前記請求項1〜5に記載の填料処理剤によって処理した填料を含有する紙。
