Abstract
【解決手段】携帯電話端末1は、モード切替手段40と形態検出センサ50を備えて、携帯電話端末1の動作モードを切り替えている。モード切替手段40は、切替プログラムがインストールされ、形態検出センサ50から入力される信号と、切替プログラムに従って所定の処理を実行するコンピュータである。形態検出センサ50は、携帯電話端末1の形態を検出するセンサであり、例えば、第1の筐体と第2の筐体のX軸回りの相対的な角度を検出する角度センサを用いる。

Claims (5)
- 表示パネルを備える第1の筐体とタッチパネルを備える第2の筐体を備え、
前記第1の筐体と前記第2の筐体はヒンジで結合されて、使用者が前記表示パネルと前記タッチパネルを同時に視認できる第1の形態と、前記第1の筐体と前記第2の筐体が平行に重ねられて、前記タッチパネルが前記表示パネルの背面に位置する第2の形態を取ることができる携帯電子機器において、
前記携帯電子機器が前記第1の形態を取る場合には、前記タッチパネルをキーボードとして機能させる動作モードを選択し、
前記携帯電子機器が前記第2の形態を取る場合に、前記タッチパネルを背面操作用の操作入力手段として機能させる動作モードを選択する、
モード切替手段を備える、
ことを特徴とする携帯電子機器。 - 前記タッチパネルに、キーボードの図形を表示する図形表示装置を備えるとともに、
前記携帯電子機器が前記第1の形態を取る場合に、前記図形表示装置を作動させ、前記携帯電子機器が前記第2の形態を取る場合に、前記図形表示装置を停止させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯電子機器。 - 前記図形表示装置は発光手段を有し、
前記モード切替手段は、前記携帯電子機器が前記第1の形態を取る場合に、前記発光手段を点灯させ、前記携帯電子機器が前記第2の形態を取る場合に、前記発光手段を消灯させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の携帯電子機器。 - 前記携帯電子機器の形態を検出する形態検出センサを備え、
前記モード切替手段は、前記形態検出センサが検出した前記携帯電子機器の形態に応じて動作する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の携帯電子機器。 - 前記形態検出センサは前記携帯電子機器が前記第2の形態にあることを検出し、
前記モード切替手段は、前記携帯電子機器が前記第2の形態にあることを前記形態検出センサが検出した場合に、前記タッチパネルを背面操作用の操作入力手段として機能させる、
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の携帯電子機器。
