The present invention relates to an electrode group for a lithium ion capacitor and a manufacturing method thereof, and in particular, a positive electrode plate in which a positive electrode active material mixture is applied to a metal foil, and a negative electrode plate in which a negative electrode active material mixture is applied to a metal foil; In particular, the present invention relates to a lithium ion capacitor electrode group wound around two axial separators, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium ion capacitor.
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, while environmental problems have been highlighted, power storage devices have attracted attention as main energy sources or auxiliary power sources for clean energy power storage systems such as solar power and wind power generation, and for moving bodies such as automobiles and hybrid electric vehicles. Conventionally, lead batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries, and lithium ion batteries are known as power storage devices, and in particular, research and development of lithium ion batteries have been actively conducted recently.
In addition, recently, research and development of a large capacity (for example, 500 F or more) lithium ion capacitor or hybrid capacitor combining the advantages of a lithium ion battery and the advantages of an electric double layer capacitor has been performed (for example, Patent Document 1). 2). In general, a lithium ion capacitor uses activated carbon as a positive electrode active material and a carbon material capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions as a negative electrode active material. An electrode group used for a lithium ion capacitor generally includes a negative electrode plate in which a negative electrode active material mixture is applied to a metal foil, a first separator, and a positive electrode plate in which a positive electrode active material mixture is applied to a metal foil. The second separator is manufactured by winding the second separator around the shaft core so as to sequentially overlap.
Since the lithium ion capacitor is previously stored or doped with lithium ions in the negative electrode plate, the negative electrode potential is kept lower than that of a normal electric double layer capacitor, so that the operating voltage range can be widened. As a positive electrode charging / discharging mechanism, in addition to adsorption of anions used in ordinary electric double layer capacitors, adsorption of cations can be used, so that the capacity can be doubled in principle. In addition, although it has a smaller capacity than a lithium ion battery, it has the advantages of low internal resistance and excellent output characteristics and a long life. As a technique related to the present invention, a lithium ion capacitor in which a metal lithium plate for inserting or doping lithium ions is arranged in an electrode group is disclosed (see Patent Document 3).
However, the lithium ion capacitor electrode group manufactured by the conventional method has a problem that the lithium ion dissolved when lithium ions are doped may cause a short circuit between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. It was.
An object of the present invention is to provide an electrode group for a lithium ion capacitor, a manufacturing method thereof, and a lithium ion capacitor that can reduce the possibility of occurrence of a short circuit between a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate as much as possible.
In order to solve the above-described problems, the present invention provides a lithium ion capacitor electrode in which a negative electrode plate, a first separator, a positive electrode plate, and a second separator are wound around an axial center so as to be sequentially overlapped. The method of manufacturing the group is the object of improvement. In the present invention, a negative electrode plate is prepared in which one or more doping metal lithium plates having a predetermined length are arranged on the electrode plate surface. In addition, a positive electrode plate including a plurality of divided positive electrode plates is prepared. One end of each of the first and second separators is fixed to the shaft core and winding is started. Thereafter, the negative electrode plate is inserted between the first and second separators so that the metal lithium plate contacts the first separator, and winding of the negative electrode plate is started. In the middle of winding, one or more metal lithium plates for doping are inserted between the first separator and the negative electrode plate. In the case where a metal lithium plate previously disposed on the negative electrode plate is used, it is not necessary to insert the metal lithium plate during winding of the negative electrode plate. Then, a plurality of divided positive plates are sequentially inserted between the second and first separators at predetermined intervals in the winding direction so that the first and second separators directly overlap the metal lithium plate. The electrode group before doping is formed by winding. In the present specification, the form and dimensions of the metal lithium plate are not particularly limited as long as they can be used for doping.
However, for example, when the metal lithium plate is wound in a bent state, it is expected that a short circuit will occur between the metal lithium plate and the positive electrode by breaking through the separator and contacting the positive electrode.
Therefore, as in the present invention, if the positive electrode plate is wound so that the first and second separators are directly superimposed on the metal lithium plate, after the production of the electrode group for the lithium ion capacitor, the metal lithium plate is It does not face the positive electrode plate via the separator. Therefore, the lithium of the metal lithium plate does not pass through the separator and come into contact with the positive electrode plate. As a result, it is possible to prevent a short circuit from occurring between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate.
Also, if you prepare a negative electrode plate with one or more doping metal lithium plates on the electrode plate surface (if you hold the metal lithium plate on the negative electrode plate), insert the metal lithium plate individually Therefore, when the negative electrode plate is wound, the metal lithium plate can be reliably disposed in the electrode group.
When the metal lithium plate is arranged on the negative electrode plate so that the wound layer of the metal lithium plate is located in the central region in the radial direction of the electrode group, the electrode group is removed from the metal lithium plate located in the central region of the electrode group. Lithium ions move toward the center of rotation and the outer periphery, and doping of lithium ions is performed. Therefore, lithium ion doping can be performed efficiently.
The metal lithium plate can be wrapped with a metal foil having ion permeability.
The metal lithium plate may be wound in an amount necessary for doping. Therefore, the metal lithium plate may form a wound layer having one turn or less.
A step of winding the first and second separators so as to form the outermost periphery of the electrode group in an overlapping state may be further included.
The pre-doping lithium ion capacitor electrode group produced by the method of the present invention comprises a negative electrode plate and n sheets (n is an integer of 1 or more) arranged on the negative electrode plate and shorter in length than the negative electrode plate. A metallic lithium plate, a first separator, a positive electrode plate composed of a plurality of divided positive electrode plates, and a second separator are wound around an axis so as to be sequentially overlapped. Then, n + 1 divided positive plates are inserted between the first and second separators at a predetermined interval in the winding direction so that the first and second separators directly overlap the metal lithium plate. Has been. According to the pre-doping lithium ion capacitor electrode group of the present invention, n + 1 divided positive plates are predetermined in the winding direction so that the first and second separators directly overlap the n or more metal lithium plates. Therefore, the metallic lithium plate does not face the positive electrode plate with the separator interposed between the first and second separators.
Therefore, for example, even when the metal lithium plate is wound in a bent state, the separator is broken through and contacted with the positive electrode, so that a short circuit does not occur between the metal lithium plate and the positive electrode.
In addition, you may arrange | position a metal lithium board further to the winding direction both ends of a negative electrode plate so that a 1st and 2nd separator may overlap directly on the surface. In this case, doping of lithium ions is performed from the metal lithium plate located at both ends in the winding direction of the negative electrode plate in addition to the metal lithium plate located in the electrode group. Therefore, doping of lithium ions can be performed in a short time.
According to the present invention, since the positive electrode plate is wound so that the first and second separators directly overlap the metal lithium plate, after the manufacture of the lithium ion capacitor electrode group, the metal lithium plate Through the positive electrode plate. Therefore, even if lithium of the metal lithium plate is deposited so as to pass through the separator, the negative electrode plate and the positive electrode plate are not brought into contact with each other. As a result, a short circuit between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate can be prevented.
<正極板>

The
As shown in FIGS. 8A and 8B, the
The area of the hole forming part formed in the copper foil W6 is larger than the area of the metal lithium plate W5, and the metal lithium plate W5 is arranged at the center of the hole forming part. When the metal lithium plate W5 is sandwiched between the perforated portions formed on the copper foil W6 and the metal lithium plate W5 and the copper foil W6 are stacked and pressed with a roll, the metal lithium plate W5 exhibits viscosity, and the copper foil W6, metal The laminated state of the lithium plate W5 and the copper foil W6 can be maintained.
The
In addition, the total filling amount of the metal lithium plate W5 is set to an amount capable of sufficiently doping lithium ions in the negative electrode active material mixture of the
<電極群>

(Production method)
Next, the manufacturing method of the
<Preparation of active material mixture>
First, a positive electrode active material mixture and a negative electrode active material mixture are prepared. The positive electrode active material mixture includes, for example, activated carbon having a specific surface area of 1000 m 2 / g or more as a positive electrode active material, an acrylic binder as a binder, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as a dispersant, and acetylene black as a conductive additive. A positive electrode slurry is prepared by mixing with conductive carbon powder such as 85: 7: 3: 5 in a weight (mass) ratio, adding water (dispersing solvent) thereto and kneading.
<塗工>
The negative electrode active material mixture includes, for example, amorphous carbon capable of inserting and extracting lithium ions as the negative electrode active material, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as the binder, and conductive carbon such as acetylene black as the conductive auxiliary agent. The material is mixed so as to have a weight (mass) ratio of 90: 5: 5, and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) as a dispersion solvent is added thereto and kneaded to prepare a negative electrode slurry.
<Coating>
Next, the application of slurry to the current collector will be described. Hereinafter, in order to simplify the explanation, the application of slurry to the aluminum foil W1 is exemplified, but the same applies to the copper foil W3. As shown in FIG. 4B, the coating on the aluminum foil W1 has four
As shown in FIGS. 4 (A) and 4 (B), the
The aluminum foil W1 supplied from the aluminum foil supply unit is conveyed in a substantially vertical direction (in the direction of arrow V in FIG. 4) in the

In the
<乾燥>
As shown in FIG. 5A, for example, the slurry discharged from the coating port of the coating machine 22B discharges the air in the through-hole formed in the aluminum foil W1 to be conveyed to the other side (surface ) Side and the slurry is discharged from the coating port of the
<Drying>
As shown in FIG. 6, a
<プレス>
<分離>

A
The
The cutting
In the
FIG. 7 shows the cutting position of the aluminum foil W <b> 1 by the cutting
The positive
<巻取>
As shown in FIG. 6, in the
<Winding>
On the downstream side of the cutting
<捲回>
In addition, the

As shown in FIG. 9, the

When the operator presses the operation button, the
Next, the
Generally speaking, n (one in this example: n = 1) metal lithium plates W5 are wound in the electrode group, and n + 1 (two in this example)
Even after the positive electrode plate supply unit S3 is cut by a cutter (not shown) so that the divided
The first and second separator supply sections S2 and S4 still continue to supply the first and
The insertion control for inserting the metal lithium plate W5 and the insertion control for inserting the divided
In the above example, the metal lithium plate W5 is inserted separately from the
A
<組立>

In this example, the negative electrode active material is doped with lithium ions by leaving the

Next, the operation of the
According to the present embodiment, the divided
Further, when the
Next, according to the
The lithium laminated
By the way, as in this embodiment, when the lithium metal plate W5 is electrically contacted with the negative electrode plate and lithium ions are doped only by the potential difference between the metal lithium and the negative electrode plate, if the doping depth of the negative electrode plate becomes deeper, Doping hardly progresses. Therefore, in order to prevent the metal lithium plate W5 disposed in the
Furthermore, in the
Further, in the
Furthermore, in the
Further, in the
Therefore, according to the
In the above embodiment, an example in which the
In the above embodiment, the winding
In the above embodiment, the electrode plate with the active material mixture applied on both sides is exemplified, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the electrode plate with the active material mixture applied only on one side is illustrated. Is also applicable. Furthermore, in this embodiment, although the circular through-hole was illustrated in the positive hole plate and the hole forming part of the lithium laminate, the present invention is not limited to this. That is, the shape of the through hole can take any shape such as a polygon such as a triangle or a quadrangle, a star, or a trapezoid. Moreover, although the thing of 20% was illustrated to the opening rate of the through-hole of the positive electrode board and the hole formation part of a lithium laminated body, this also does not restrict | limit this invention. The aperture ratio can be, for example, 5% to 55%, preferably 10% to 40%, and more preferably 10% to 25%.
Furthermore, in the above embodiment, an example in which the two
Further, in the above embodiment, the electrode plate forming apparatus that obtains the hoop-shaped electrode plate corresponding to the quadruple width in the width direction is exemplified, but the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, the hoop-shaped electrode corresponding to the six-fold width. You may make it use the electrode plate forming apparatus which obtains a board. In this case, since two uncoated portions (width c + 2β) between the mixture coating width 2 (e + α) coated with the active material mixture are formed, aluminum supplied from the aluminum foil supply section The foil width can be saved by 2c. Needless to say, the present invention can be applied to a capacitor using an electrode plate of a single width as in the prior art. Further, it is not a matter of course that the present invention can be applied to a capacitor having an electrode plate that is formed in advance and bonded to a current collector (aluminum foil W1 or W1, copper foil W or W3).

Further, in the above-described embodiment, various numerical values are described as examples for easy understanding, but the present invention is not limited to these unless the numerical values are defined in the claims. Needless to say. Therefore, known members and materials can be used at the time of filing this application.

Further, as the non-aqueous electrolyte, an electrolyte obtained by using a general lithium salt as an electrolyte and dissolving the electrolyte in an organic solvent may be used, and the lithium salt and the organic solvent are not particularly limited.
