Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sheet processing apparatus provided with a sheet aligning device for aligning a sheet-like recording medium (herein, simply referred to as “sheet”) such as a loaded paper, recording paper, transfer paper, or OHP sheet, The present invention relates to an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a printer, a facsimile machine, or a digital multi-function machine that includes a sheet processing apparatus integrally or separately.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a finisher provided with a binding unit that stacks sheets discharged from an image forming apparatus on a staple tray, aligns the conveyance direction and a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction (so-called width direction), and performs binding. A device called is known. As such a finisher, for example, the invention described in
However, if an elastic sheet guide member is provided as described in
Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to improve the alignment accuracy of the sheet bundle from a small number to a large number and to stabilize the binding position during the binding process.

A fourth means is any one of the first to third means, wherein the guide member is attached at a position lower than the sheet placing surface, and the inclination angle of the inclined surface is determined by the weight of the stacked sheet bundle. Is smaller and is displaced to a height position equal to or lower than the sheet stacking surface.
The fifth means is characterized in that, in any one of the first to fourth means, the guide member is made of an elastic member having elasticity.
A sixth means is any one of the first to fourth means, wherein the guide member has a rigid sheet receiving member, a support shaft for swingably supporting the sheet receiving member, and the sheet receiving member. In the embodiment described later, the conveying means is the
According to the present invention, the sheet rear end portion is provided along the guide member because the guide member is disposed to be inclined with respect to the sheet stacking surface of the stacking unit and guides the sheet rear end portion along the inclined surface. By performing the binding process by guiding the sheet to a predetermined position, it is possible to improve the alignment accuracy of the sheet bundle and stabilize the binding position from a small number of sheets to a large number of sheets when performing the binding process.
In order to improve the alignment accuracy on the staple tray and to stabilize the binding position of the sheet bundle, the present invention brings the sheets to the fixed side of the stapler when the number of sheet bundles stacked on the staple tray is small. This is intended to reduce the movement of the trailing edge of the sheet bundle due to the clinch operation. In the present invention, when the sheet bundle is moved toward the fixed side of the stapler, the stacking space for storing the sheet bundle is not narrowed, and the resistance between the sheets when a large number of sheets are stacked is also prevented from increasing.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

In FIG. 1, the sheet post-processing apparatus PD is attached to the side portion of the image forming apparatus PR, and the sheet discharged from the image forming apparatus PR is guided to the sheet post-processing apparatus PD. The sheet has a conveyance path A having post-processing means for performing post-processing on one sheet (in this embodiment, a
The image forming apparatus PR includes an image processing circuit that converts input image data into printable image data (not shown), and an optical writing apparatus that performs optical writing on a photoconductor based on an image signal output from the image processing circuit. In this embodiment, the image processing circuit, the optical writing device, the developing device, the transfer device, and the fixing device constitute image forming means.

In FIG. 1,

FIG. 6 is a view showing the state of the end-face stitching stapler S1 and the sheet bundle SB when the sheet bundle SB is bound by the end-face stitching stapler S1, and is a view seen from the front side of the apparatus in the same manner as FIG. The sheet bundle SB is stacked on the processing tray F, and the rear end is in contact with the
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6A, the sheet curls and is stacked on the processing tray F in a state where it abuts on the left corner in the figure of the
The reason why the binding position becomes shallow in this way is as follows.
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a relationship between the
Here, when the sheet bundle SB is stacked in contact with the two portions of the stack surfaces 51c1 and 51c3, the sheets are naturally pressed against the stack surfaces 51c1 and 51c3 with a pressure corresponding to the weight. In this state, when the binding process is performed by the end surface binding stapler S1, the hatched portion is pushed to the stitcher S1a (fixed side stapler S1) side by the clincher S1b (moving side stapler S1). At that time, since the rear end of the sheet is pressed against the stack surface 51c3, the portion is hardly pressed toward the stitcher S1a. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 7A, the portion of the stack surface 51c3 is not pushed to the stitcher S1a side, and only the hatched portion SB1 is pushed to the fixed side. When the binding process is performed in this state, as shown in the enlarged view of the main part in FIG. 7B, the portion of the stack surface 51c3 serves as a fulcrum, and the wrinkle SB2 is generated, resulting in an obliquely twisted sheet shape. As a result, the hatched portion SB1 is lifted from the
8 and 9 are views showing the relationship between the
8A and 10, the
The
When the
FIG. 9 shows this state in contrast to FIG. 7 illustrated as a conventional example. In FIG. 9, the binding process is performed in a state where the sheet bundle SB is not bent even if the hatched portion SB1 of the sheet bundle SB is pushed to the stitcher S1a side (FIG. 8B). As a result, as shown in FIG. 9B, the staple needle n is subjected to the binding process with the ideal state where the sheet bundle SB is not bent becomes an actual state.
FIG. 12 is a diagram showing a state in which a large number of sheet bundles SB are bound and a state in which the number of sheets is increased from FIG. 8A. When a large number of sheets are stacked on the
In the
FIG. 13 is a view showing another embodiment of the
As an example of this, as shown in FIG. 13, the
As a result, when there is no load, the sheet is at the position shown in FIG. 13A. In this state, the sheet is discharged, and the rear end of the sheet bundle SB is regulated and the rear end of the sheet bundle SB is aligned. At that time, the inclination angle of the
As a result, when the clincher S1b is moved to the stitcher S1a side and the binding process is performed, the binding process is performed in an ideal state in which the target binding depth m is ensured without causing deviation or bending of the sheet bundle. .
That is, according to the present embodiment, the rear end fence to be stacked is not applied to the stitcher S1a (fixed) side of the end-face stitching stapler S1 by applying a force in the thickness direction of the sheet bundle stacked on the processing tray F. 51 is provided with an inclined elastic guide member (mylar) 500 or
