【解決手段】本発明に係る有機電界発光表示素子は、第1の画素電極380、少なくとも発光層を含む第1の有機膜390、及び第1の対向電極392を備える第1の基板300と、第2の画素電極、発光層を少なくとも含む第2の有機膜、及び第2の対向電極を備える第2の基板400と、からなる有機電界発光表示素子であって、第1の基板300及び第2の基板400に、第1の画素領域、第2の画素領域、及び第3の画素領域が各々分かれて設けられることを特徴とする。

Claims (21)
- 第1の画素電極、少なくとも発光層を含む第1の有機膜、及び第1の対向電極を備える第1の基板と、
第2の画素電極、少なくとも発光層を含む第2の有機膜、及び第2の対向電極を備える第2の基板と、を有する有機電界発光表示素子であって、
前記第1の基板及び第2の基板には、第1の画素領域、第2の画素領域、及び第3の画素領域が各々分かれて設けられ、
前記第1の画素領域、第2の画素領域、及び第3の画素領域は、各々、赤色画素領域、青色画素領域、及び緑色画素領域であり、
第1の画素領域及び第3の画素領域が前記第1の基板に設けられ、第1の画素領域、第2の画素領域、及び第3の画素領域が前記第2の基板に設けられることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示素子。 - 前記第1の基板と前記第1の画素電極との間、及び、前記第2の基板と前記第2の画素電極との間には、各々1つ以上の薄膜トランジスタが設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の画素領域及び第2の画素領域が前記第1の基板に設けられ、前記第3の画素領域が前記第2の基板に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の画素領域が、前記第2の画素領域の一部に重なるように設けられることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第2の画素領域及び第3の画素領域が前記第1の基板に設けられ、前記第1画素領域が前記第2の基板に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第3の画素領域が、前記第2の画素領域の一部に重なるように設けられることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の基板に、第3の画素領域、第2の画素領域、第2の画素領域、第1の画素領域、第1の画素領域、第2の画素領域、第2の画素領域、及び第3の画素領域がこの順に設けられ、前記第2の基板に、第1の画素領域、第3の画素領域、第3の画素領域、及び第1の画素領域がこの順に設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の基板は、赤色光、緑色光、青色光、シアン色光、及びマゼンタ色光を放射し、前記第2の基板は、赤色光、緑色光、及びイエロー光を放射することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記赤色光と緑色光によってイエロー光が放射され、前記緑色光と青色光によってシアン色光が放射され、前記青色光と赤色光によってマゼンタ色光が放射されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の基板または前記第2の基板にドライバICがさらに設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との間に異方性導電フィルムがさらに設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の基板は、前面発光型有機電界発光表示素子を備え、前記第2の基板は、両面発光型有機電界発光表示素子を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との間に有機絶縁膜がさらに設けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示素子。
- 少なくとも2つの画素領域が設けられる第1の基板上に、第1の画素電極を形成する工程と、
前記第1の画素電極上に、少なくとも発光層を含む第1の有機膜を形成する工程と、
前記第1の有機膜上に第1の対向電極を形成する工程と、
少なくとも1つの画素領域が設けられる第2の基板上に、第2の画素電極を形成する工程と、
前記第2の画素電極上に、少なくとも発光層を含む第2の有機膜を形成する工程と、
前記第2の有機膜上に第2の対向電極を形成する工程と、
前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板とを互いに取り付けて封止する工程と、を備えることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。 - 前記第1の基板と前記第1の画素電極との間、及び、前記第2の基板と前記第2の画素電極との間に、1つ以上の薄膜トランジスタを形成する段階をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1の画素電極は、反射電極で形成されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1の対向電極、前記第2の画素電極、及び前記第2の対向電極は、透明電極で形成されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1の有機膜は、微細パターンマスクを用いてそれぞれの画素領域に形成されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1の有機膜には、それぞれの画素領域に対応する共通層として、青色光を放出する発光層を使用することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との間に異方性導電フィルムを形成し、当該第1の基板と第2の基板とを電気的に連結する段階をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。
- 前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との間に有機絶縁膜を形成する段階をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の有機電界発光表示素子の製造方法。
