Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a laminated extruded resin plate and a surface coated plate used for a touch panel.
For example, touch panels with transparent electrodes are used in car navigation systems, portable information terminals, operation panels for industrial machines, personal computer screens, portable game machines, and the like. Examples of the plate used for the touch panel include thin glass and resin ones. There are touch panels, for example, those that are operated by touching directly with a finger, those that are operated by a touch pen, and the like, and transparency, impact resistance, light weight, and difficulty in scratching the surface are regarded as important. In response to such demands, thin glass is inferior in impact resistance and light weight, and recently, a resin plate is often used.
As a resin plate corresponding to these demands,
However, the resin plate described in
Moreover, the resin-made board described in

On the other hand, a methacrylic resin is generally used as the acrylic resin constituting the acrylic resin layer. The methacrylic resin is preferably a methyl methacrylate resin containing a methyl methacrylate unit as a main component, specifically a methyl methacrylate resin containing usually 50% by weight or more, preferably 70% by weight or more of a methyl methacrylate unit. A homopolymer of methyl methacrylate having a unit of 100% by weight may be used, or a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and another monomer that can be copolymerized with the methyl methacrylate.

Methacrylic acid esters other than methyl methacrylate such as methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, cyclohexyl acrylate, phenyl acrylate, benzyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, etc. Of the acrylic acid esters. Moreover, styrene and substituted styrenes, for example, halogenated styrenes such as chlorostyrene and bromostyrene, and alkylstyrenes such as vinyltoluene and α-methylstyrene are also included. Furthermore, unsaturated acids such as methacrylic acid and acrylic acid, acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile, maleic anhydride, phenylmaleimide, cyclohexylmaleimide and the like can also be mentioned. These other monomers that can be copolymerized with methyl methacrylate may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
The acrylic resin may be used by blending a rubbery polymer. Thereby, the laminated extruded resin plate can be made difficult to break. In particular, it is preferable to blend a methacrylic resin with a rubbery polymer and make the acrylic resin layer a layer made of a methacrylic resin and a rubbery polymer. Examples of the rubbery polymer include an acrylic multilayer structure polymer, and 5 to 80 parts by weight of a rubbery polymer and 20 to 95 parts by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer such as an acrylic unsaturated monomer. Examples include graft copolymers obtained by graft polymerization.
The acrylic multilayer structure polymer preferably has a rubber elastic layer or an elastomer layer contained in an amount of about 20 to 60% by weight, preferably has a hard layer on the outermost side, and further includes a hard layer as the innermost layer. A structure may be used.
The rubber elastic layer and the elastomer layer may be an acrylic polymer layer having a glass transition point (Tg) of less than 25 ° C., specifically, lower alkyl acrylate, lower alkyl methacrylate, lower alkoxyalkyl. One or more monofunctional monomers selected from acrylate, cyanoethyl acrylate, acrylamide, hydroxy lower alkyl acrylate, hydroxy lower alkyl methacrylate, acrylic acid and methacrylic acid are cross-linked with a polyfunctional monomer such as allyl methacrylate. It may be a polymer layer. Examples of the lower alkyl group include linear or branched alkyl groups having about 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and examples of the lower alkoxyalkyl group include linear or branched alkoxyalkyl groups having about 1 to 8 carbon atoms. It is done.
The hard layer may be an acrylic polymer layer having a Tg of 25 ° C. or more, and specifically, an alkyl methacrylate having an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms is polymerized alone or as a main component. Good thing. When the copolymer is mainly composed of alkyl methacrylate, the copolymer component may be a monofunctional monomer such as other alkyl methacrylate or alkyl acrylate, styrene, substituted styrene, acrylonitrile, or methacrylonitrile. Further, a polyfunctional monomer may be added to form a crosslinked polymer.
Acrylic multilayer structure polymers are described, for example, in JP-B-55-27576, JP-A-6-80739, JP-A-49-23292, and the like.
In the graft copolymer obtained by graft polymerization of 20 to 95 parts by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer to 5 to 80 parts by weight of the rubbery polymer, examples of the rubbery polymer include polybutadiene rubber, acrylonitrile / Diene rubber such as butadiene copolymer rubber, styrene / butadiene copolymer rubber, acrylic rubber such as polybutyl acrylate, polypropyl acrylate, poly-2-ethylhexyl acrylate, ethylene / propylene / non-conjugated diene rubber, etc. Used. Examples of the ethylenic monomer used for graft copolymerization with the rubbery polymer include styrene, acrylonitrile, alkyl (meth) acrylate, and the like. These graft copolymers are described, for example, in JP-A Nos. 55-147514 and 47-9740.
When the rubber-like polymer is dispersed in the acrylic resin, the rubber-like polymer is usually dispersed at a ratio of 3 to 150 parts by weight, preferably 5 to 50 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the acrylic resin. . If the amount of the rubbery polymer is too large, the surface hardness is lowered, which is not preferable. On the other hand, if the amount of the rubbery polymer is too small, it is difficult to obtain the effect of making the laminated extruded resin plate difficult to break.
In addition, the polycarbonate resin layer and the acrylic resin layer may each have, for example, a light diffusing agent, a matting agent, a dye, a light stabilizer, an ultraviolet absorber, an antioxidant, a release agent, a flame retardant, and an antistatic agent. One or more additives such as an agent may be added.
The laminated extruded resin plate of the present invention is suitably manufactured by laminating and integrating a polycarbonate resin layer and an acrylic resin layer by coextrusion molding. In this coextrusion molding, the above-described polycarbonate resin layer material and acrylic resin layer material are melt-kneaded using two or three uniaxial or biaxial extruders, respectively, and then fed block die or multi-manifold. This can be done by stacking through a die or the like.

Next, a sheet-like or film-like melt-laminated
As shown in FIG. 2, the
The high-
The metal
The metal
The metal
When the melt-laminated
The contact length L is 1 to 20 mm, preferably 1 to 10 mm, more preferably 1 to 7 mm. The contact length L can be arbitrarily set, for example, by adjusting the thickness of the metal
When the metal
Specifically, the shrinkage rate S1 (%) in the extrusion direction and the shrinkage rate S2 (%) in the width direction of the laminated extruded
Moreover, the laminated extruded
In order to reduce the heat shrinkage property and retardation value of the laminated extruded
On the other hand, when the surface temperature (Tr) is lower than (Th-20 ° C.), the shrinkage rate S2 tends to decrease. Further, when the surface temperature (Tr) is higher than (Th + 20 ° C.), the shrinkage rate S1 tends to increase and the retardation value tends to increase. Moreover, the peeling trace from a roll remains on the laminated
The surface temperature (Tr) is based on a resin having a higher thermal deformation temperature (Th) among polycarbonate resin and acrylic resin. Although it does not specifically limit as heat deformation temperature (Th), Usually, it is about 60-200 degreeC. The heat distortion temperature (Th) is a temperature measured according to ASTM D-648.
The sheet-like or film-like laminated
Next, other embodiment of the manufacturing method of the laminated extrusion resin board concerning this invention is described. FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional explanatory view showing the elastic roll according to the present embodiment. In FIG. 3, the same components as those in FIGS. 1 and 2 described above are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof is omitted.
As shown in FIG. 3, the metal

The

In order to configure the metal
The laminated extruded resin plate of the present invention may have a two-layer structure in which an acrylic resin layer is laminated only on the surface of the polycarbonate resin layer to be touched, or an acrylic resin layer on both sides of the polycarbonate resin layer. May have a three-layer structure in which are stacked.
Here, depending on the thickness of the acrylic resin layer and the type of the acrylic resin, the surface impact property of the three-layer structure may be lowered and may be easily broken. Therefore, when the laminated extruded resin plate has a three-layer structure, it is preferable to disperse the rubbery polymer in the acrylic resin layer. Thereby, it can suppress that the surface impact property of a laminated extrusion resin board falls and it becomes easy to break.
On the other hand, when the laminated extruded resin plate has a three-layer structure, the rigidity tends to increase, and it is easy to prevent deformation during operation of the touch panel, which may be preferable. Moreover, when providing a cured film on both surfaces of this lamination | stacking extrusion resin board, it also becomes possible to apply the hardening material of the same composition. When the laminated extruded resin plate has a three-layer structure, the composition of both acrylic resin layers may be the same or different.
The laminated extruded resin plate of the present invention is usually in the form of a sheet or film, and the thickness is usually 0.1 to 2 mm, preferably 0.2 to 1 mm, more preferably 0.3 to 0.7 mm. .
In the laminated extruded resin plate of the present invention, the thickness of the polycarbonate resin layer should be 50% or more, preferably 70% or more, more preferably 80% or more of the total thickness. Thereby, the laminated extruded resin plate is more difficult to break. The thickness of the polycarbonate resin layer is usually 95% or less, more preferably 90% or less, with respect to the total thickness.
When importance is attached to the surface hardness of the acrylic resin layer, the thickness is 10 μm or more, preferably 20 to 200 μm. In the case of a three-layer structure, the thicknesses of both acrylic resin layers may be the same or different from each other. The thickness of the laminated extruded resin plate can be adjusted by the thickness of the melt laminated extruded
The laminated extruded resin plate of the present invention can be used on the acrylic resin layer side as it is as a touch surface using a finger as it is, but when touching a pointed object such as a touch pen, it is cured on the surface. The film is superior in terms of durability. The polycarbonate layer side is basically not used as a touch surface and may be left as it is, but a cured film may be provided on the surface thereof.

The thickness of the cured film thus formed is preferably 1 to 10 μm, more preferably 2 to 6 μm. If the thickness is too small, the scratch resistance may be insufficient, and if it is too large, cracks are likely to occur when exposed to high temperature and high humidity. The thickness of the cured film can be adjusted by adjusting the amount per area of the curable resin composition applied to the surface of the laminated extruded resin substrate and the solid content concentration contained in the curable resin composition. .
Particularly, among these exemplified cured films, a cured film having scratch resistance is preferable.

Further, in order to use the laminated extruded resin plate and the surface coated plate of the present invention as a touch panel, for example, secondary molding such as thermoforming, printing, drilling, etc. are performed as necessary to obtain a predetermined shape or size. A cutting process may be performed. And if it is a laminated extrusion resin board of a two-layer structure, what is necessary is just to install a touch panel normally so that an acrylic resin layer may become the front side (outside: the side which the operator touches). In the case of a laminated extruded resin plate having a three-layer structure, when the thicknesses of both acrylic resin layers are different from each other, it is preferable to install the touch panel so that the acrylic resin layer having the larger thickness becomes the outside. The touch panel comprising the laminated extruded resin plate and the surface coating plate of the present invention is characterized by being hardly scratched.

<評価>
<Evaluation>
About each obtained extrusion resin board (Examples 1-22 and Comparative Examples 1-4), shrinkage rate and retardation were evaluated. Moreover, pencil hardness and touch pen evaluation were performed about each extrusion resin board and each surface coating board. Each evaluation method is shown below, and the results are also shown in Table 1.
(Shrinkage factor)
First, a test piece having a size of about 10 cm square was cut out from the obtained extruded resin plate, and the dimension in the extrusion direction (MD0) and the dimension in the width direction (TD0) of the test piece were measured. Next, a baby powder (“Shicaroll High” manufactured by Wakodo Co., Ltd.) was laid on a metal bat, and the test piece was placed thereon and placed in an oven at 160 ° C. for 30 minutes.
Thereafter, the dimension (MD) in the extrusion direction and the dimension (TD) in the width direction of the naturally cooled test piece were measured, and the obtained dimensions were expressed by the formula: shrinkage ratio S1 = {1- (MD / MD0)} × 100, Formula: Shrinkage rate S2 = {1− (TD / TD0)} × 100 was applied to calculate shrinkage rates S1 and S2. Further, the ratio (S1 / S2) was calculated from the calculated shrinkage rates S1 and S2. In the shrinkage ratios S1 and S2 in Table 1, the result of + indicates that it has contracted, and the result of-indicates that it has expanded.
(Retardation)
A test piece was cut out from the obtained extruded resin plate with a 50 mm square size, and the retardation of this test piece was measured using a micro-area birefringence meter (“KOBRA-CCO / X” manufactured by Oji Scientific Instruments). did.

(Touch pen evaluation)
Using a “DS touch pen” manufactured by Nintendo Co., Ltd., characters were drawn by hand on the surface of the extruded resin plate and surface coating plate, and the degree of scratching on the rubbed portion was visually confirmed. In addition, the surface in the extrusion resin board of Examples 1-11 is the resin layer B. In addition, the following criteria were used.
○: No scratch was found. △: Shallow scratch. ×: Deep scratch.
