Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a hybrid vehicle and a control method thereof.
However, in the former hybrid vehicle, when the reduction gear clutch is released, torque cannot be output from the motor, and there is insufficient torque output to the ring gear shaft, or power is not consumed by the motor. It may become overcharged. Such a problem occurs to some extent even when the reduction gear ratio is changed so that the rotational speed of the motor is reduced. This also occurs in a hybrid vehicle including the latter exhaust gas recirculation device.
The main object of the hybrid vehicle and the control method thereof according to the present invention is to output torque required for traveling and suppress overheating of the motor in a hybrid vehicle equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation device.

In the hybrid vehicle of the present invention, the first limitation is imposed on the rotational speed and torque of the internal combustion engine under the condition that the exhaust gas recirculation device recirculates the exhaust gas to the intake system when it is not determined that the motor is overheated. Based on the restriction of 1 and the set required power, a target operating point consisting of a target rotational speed and a target torque for operating the internal combustion engine is set, and the exhaust gas recirculation device is accompanied by recirculation of exhaust gas to the intake system. The internal combustion engine, the exhaust gas recirculation device, the generator, and the motor are controlled so that the internal combustion engine is driven at the target driving point set and travels with the set driving force, and the exhaust gas is detected when the motor is overheated. Torque is greater than the first constraint imposed on the rotational speed and torque of the internal combustion engine under conditions in which the exhaust gas is not recirculated to the intake system by the recirculation device. A target operating point consisting of a target rotational speed and a target torque for operating the internal combustion engine is set on the basis of the second constraint and the set required power, and the exhaust gas recirculation device restores the exhaust gas to the intake system. The internal combustion engine, the exhaust gas recirculation device, the generator, and the electric motor are controlled so that the internal combustion engine is driven at the target driving point set without being circulated and travels with the set required driving force. That is, since the second constraint used when the motor overheat is determined has a larger torque than the first constraint used when the motor overheat is not determined, the internal combustion engine is used when the motor overheat is determined. The torque output by is larger than when the motor is not overheated. Therefore, when it is determined that the motor is overheated, the torque output to the drive shaft out of the torque output from the internal combustion engine increases, and the motor load that outputs the difference between this torque and the required driving force is reduced to reduce the electric motor. Can be prevented from overheating. As a result, the required driving force required for traveling can be output and the overheating of the motor can be suppressed.
In such a hybrid vehicle of the present invention, the overheat determination means may be means for determining overheating of the electric motor when a state where the current supplied to the electric motor is equal to or greater than a predetermined value continues for a predetermined time. . Thereby, overheating of the electric motor can be determined without using the temperature of the electric motor.

Next, the operation of the
When the drive control routine is executed, first, the
When the data is thus input, the required torque Tr * to be output to the
Subsequently, the input motor temperature Tm is compared with the predetermined temperature Tref (step S120). Here, the predetermined temperature Tref is for determining whether or not the motor MG2 is overheated by comparing with the motor temperature Tm, and is higher than the upper limit of the appropriate temperature range in which the motor MG2 can function normally. It is set as a slightly small value. When the motor temperature Tm is lower than the predetermined temperature Tref, it is determined that the motor MG2 is not overheated, and an overheat determination flag F indicating whether the motor MG2 is overheated is set to a value 0 (step S130). The target rotational speed Ne * as an operating point at which the

When the target engine speed Ne *, target torque Te *, overheat determination flag F, and motor torque commands Tm1 *, Tm2 * of the motors MG1, MG2 are thus set, the target engine speed Ne *, target torque Te *, The overheat determination flag F is transmitted to the
When the motor temperature Tm is equal to or higher than the predetermined temperature Tref (step S120), it is determined that the motor MG2 is overheated, the overheat determination flag F is set to 1 (step S200), and EGR is not executed. The target rotational speed Ne * and the target torque Te * as operating points at which the
As described above, when it is determined that the motor MG2 is overheated, it is possible to output the required torque Tr * required for traveling and to suppress overheating of the motor MG2.
