Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing a sheet molding compound (SMC), and more particularly to a method for producing SMC that shortens the curing period.
Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is a composite material in which reinforcing fibers such as glass fibers and fillers such as inorganic fillers are hardened with resin, and has mechanical strength, chemical resistance, heat resistance, hot water resistance, and electrical resistance properties. It is used in various fields as an excellent material. FRP is a material that is molded using a pre-molded body such as SMC or BMC (bulk molding compound) as a pre-molding step, and can be used to produce complex shapes and large products with high dimensional accuracy. It is a feature.
FIG. 7 shows an example of a conventional SMC manufacturing method (see, for example,
However, according to the conventional manufacturing method of SMC4, the thickening speed at the time of curing of the
An object of this invention is to provide the manufacturing method of SMC4 with sufficient productivity which can shorten the time for curing by making a thickening speed | rate high.

According to the method for producing SMC according to
The
The unsaturated polyester resin is synthesized by, for example, a condensation reaction between an unsaturated dibasic acid such as maleic anhydride and a saturated dibasic acid such as phthalic anhydride and glycols, and has an unsaturated bond and an ester in the molecule. A thermosetting type having a bond can be used.
Any filler can be used as long as it can be filled in the
As the low shrinkage agent, those in which various monomers are low-shrinkage can be used as appropriate. For example, polystyrene resins, polymethyl methacrylate, polyvinyl acetate, polyethylene and the like can be used. The low shrinkage agent can adjust the smoothness and shrinkage rate of the molded product by changing the blending amount, and the blending amount can be appropriately set in order to obtain the desired smoothness, but is preferably not used. It is the range of 10-30 weight part with respect to 100 weight part of saturated polyester resins.
Any crosslinking agent can be used as long as it forms a crosslinked structure with the unsaturated polyester resin by a curing reaction. As such a thing, what mix | blended a styrene monomer, an acrylic monomer, etc. can be used, for example. The content of the crosslinking agent in the
As the
Furthermore, the arbitrary component used for SMC4 can be added to the unsaturated
Further, the
Next, the SMC manufacturing method of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example of the SMC manufacturing method of the present invention. In the method of FIG. 1, the ultrasonic vibration treatment US is performed on the
First, the
FIG. 2 shows another example of the SMC manufacturing method of the present invention. In the method of FIG. 2, ultrasonic vibration treatment US is performed on the thickening material 11. First, the thickening material 11 is prepared by premixing the
FIG. 3 shows another example of the SMC manufacturing method of the present invention. In the method of FIG. 3, the ultrasonic vibration processing US is performed on the
FIG. 4 shows another example of the SMC manufacturing method of the present invention. In the method of FIG. 4, the ultrasonic vibration treatment US is performed on the
Thus, the manufacturing method of SMC4 of this invention should just perform an ultrasonic vibration process suitably with respect to the material containing the
The ultrasonic vibration treatment US can be performed, for example, by putting a throw-in type ultrasonic vibrator into a material containing the
The duration of the ultrasonic vibration treatment US is preferably 3 to 10 minutes. If the time of the ultrasonic vibration treatment US is shorter than this range, sufficient fine dispersion of the
The viscosity of the
More preferably, it is 10-100 Pa.s. When the viscosity of the
When ultrasonic vibration treatment US is performed on at least one of the thickening material 11 and the
Further, when the ultrasonic vibration treatment US is performed after the impregnation step as shown in FIG. 3, in order to increase the viscosity of the
The viscosity of SMC4 after curing is preferably 800,000 to 1,200,000 Pa · s, and more preferably 900,000 to 1,100,000 Pa · s. Further, the indentation hardness displacement amount of SMC4 is preferably 2.0 to 3.0 mm, and more preferably 2.3 to 2.8 mm. If the viscosity of SMC4 is lower than this range, or if the indentation displacement is larger than this range, there is a possibility that sufficient hardness cannot be obtained for the molded product. If the viscosity of the SMC4 is larger than this range, or if the indentation displacement is smaller than this range, the SMC4 may become too hard and FRP molding may become difficult.
The viscosities of the
Further, for the
