Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a data recording apparatus related to an electric vehicle battery, and more particularly, to a data recording apparatus related to an electric vehicle battery that acquires and records data useful for deterioration factor analysis of the electric vehicle battery.
An electric vehicle such as a hybrid vehicle is equipped with an electric motor that drives the vehicle and a battery that supplies electric power to the electric motor. Examples of the battery to be mounted include a nickel cadmium battery, a nickel hydrogen battery, and a lithium ion battery. For efficient use of the battery, prevention of battery deterioration, and the like, it is necessary to monitor and control the state of charge (SOC) of the battery. In particular, in a lithium ion battery, if the voltage supplied to the battery exceeds the upper limit voltage, metallic lithium may be deposited on the negative electrode surface, which may cause a decrease in capacity, that is, deterioration of the battery. Very important.
In general, an electric vehicle is equipped with a device that measures (estimates) SOC, and this device monitors the SOC (charge rate) and charges it to an SOC management range with a predetermined charge rate as the upper and lower limit values. The rate can be maintained. Therefore, it is possible to prevent deterioration of the battery due to excessive charging and discharging. As an SOC estimation apparatus, the apparatus disclosed by patent document 1 is mentioned, for example. The apparatus of Patent Literature 1 includes a battery SOC estimation unit that estimates the SOC of a battery at a calculation cycle corresponding to the charge / discharge frequency of the battery, and an SOC estimation unit that shortens the SOC calculation cycle as the battery charge / discharge cycle is shorter. And a calculation period changing means for controlling In Patent Document 1, it is described that, in a region where the charge / discharge frequency is high and the frequency responsiveness is low as in the slip control, the SOC calculation cycle is lengthened to reduce the error generating factor.
However, according to the SOC estimation apparatus of Patent Document 1, when the charge rate cannot be maintained in the SOC management width, for example, the upper limit voltage of the battery may be exceeded. That is, in the SOC estimation device of Patent Document 1, as described above, the SOC calculation cycle becomes long, particularly in a region where the frequency response is low, so that the battery state (voltage, current, etc.) that is a parameter for SOC estimation is increased. The monitor interval also becomes wide, and a sudden rise in battery voltage cannot be detected. On the other hand, if the calculation cycle is shortened (accelerated), the error generation factor increases and the SOC estimation accuracy decreases, so it is difficult to cope with a sudden rise in battery voltage by increasing the calculation cycle. .
When the battery voltage suddenly rises that cannot be detected by the SOC estimation device, as described above, the upper limit voltage of the battery may be exceeded and the battery may be deteriorated. The case where the upper limit voltage of the battery is exceeded is a case where a high voltage is supplied to the battery in an extremely short time. For example, the electric motor has a rapid rotation speed such as when the electric vehicle shifts from the slip state to the grip state. (Especially when the rotational speed rapidly decreases). In view of such a situation, the cause of deterioration of the battery is analyzed by analyzing the causal relationship between the battery upper limit voltage exceeding the upper limit voltage of the battery due to a rapid decrease in the motor rotation speed, etc., which is difficult to detect with a conventional SOC estimation device, etc. It is strongly desired to identify
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a data recording apparatus for an electric vehicle battery that detects an excess of the upper limit voltage of the battery due to a sudden change in the motor rotation speed and records data useful for analyzing the deterioration factor of the battery. is there. Another object of the present invention is to provide a battery control device that determines the degree of deterioration based on the excess frequency of the upper limit voltage of the battery and restricts input / output of electric power in the battery according to the determined degree of deterioration. It is to be.
A data recording apparatus relating to a battery for an electric vehicle according to the present invention includes a battery in which an upper limit voltage is defined, an electric motor that drives the electric vehicle, an inverter that supplies electric power to the electric motor, and an electric motor output by controlling the operation of the inverter. And an output control device that controls the output of the battery, and the frequency of exceeding the battery upper limit voltage is specified and recorded based on information measured for controlling the output of the motor.
In addition, the electric vehicle is equipped with a rotation speed sensor that detects the rotation speed of the electric motor, detects that the rate of change of the motor rotation speed in a unit time exceeds a predetermined value, and determines the frequency at which the predetermined value has been exceeded. It is preferable to record the frequency of exceeding the upper limit voltage.
In addition, the electric vehicle is equipped with a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the battery. When the rate of change of the motor rotation speed in a unit time exceeds a predetermined value, the battery temperature is detected, and the excess frequency is determined as the battery temperature. It is preferable to record in association.
Further, it is preferable that the output control device detects that the rotation rate change rate per unit time exceeds a predetermined value.
A battery control device according to the present invention includes a battery with an upper limit voltage defined, an electric motor that drives an electric vehicle, an inverter that supplies electric power to the electric motor, and an output control that controls the output of the electric motor by controlling the operation of the inverter. The device is mounted on an electric vehicle equipped with, and based on the information measured to control the motor output, the excess frequency of the battery upper limit voltage is specified, and the degree of deterioration is determined based on the excess frequency, The input / output of power in the battery is limited according to the determined degree of deterioration.
Further, when the rate of change of the motor rotation speed per unit time exceeds a predetermined value, the battery temperature is detected, the excess frequency is specified in association with the battery temperature, and the degree of deterioration is determined based on the excess frequency and the battery temperature. It is preferable to determine.
According to the data recording apparatus relating to the battery for an electric vehicle according to the present invention, the battery with the upper limit voltage defined, the electric motor that drives the electric vehicle, the inverter circuit that supplies electric power to the electric motor, and the operation of the inverter circuit are controlled. And an output control device for controlling the motor output, and based on the information measured for controlling the motor output, the excess frequency of the battery upper limit voltage is specified and recorded. It is possible to detect an excess of the upper limit voltage of the battery due to a high voltage being supplied to the battery in a very short time due to a rapid change in the rotational speed or the like. Therefore, it is possible to record the data useful for identifying the cause of deterioration of the battery by analyzing the causal relationship between the excess of the upper limit voltage of the battery and the deterioration of the battery.
Further, if it is detected that the rate of change of the motor rotation speed per unit time exceeds a predetermined value and the frequency exceeding the predetermined value is recorded as an excess frequency of the battery upper limit voltage, for example, the electric vehicle is gripped from a slip state. It becomes even easier to detect that the upper limit voltage of the battery has been exceeded, such as when the rotational speed of the motor changes abruptly (e.g., when the rotational speed suddenly decreases), such as when shifting to a state.
If the rate of change of the motor rotation speed per unit time exceeds a predetermined value, the battery temperature is detected, and if the excess frequency is recorded in association with the battery temperature, more useful data for battery deterioration factor analysis Can be recorded.
Furthermore, if the output control device detects that the rotation rate change rate per unit time exceeds a predetermined value, the upper limit of the battery can be obtained without newly installing a data recording device arithmetic device (control device). It becomes possible to detect excess voltage. By using an existing control device such as an output control device, the cost can be reduced.
According to the battery control device of the present invention, based on the information measured for controlling the motor output, specify the excess frequency of the battery upper limit voltage, determine the degree of deterioration based on the excess frequency, Since the input / output of power in the battery is limited according to the determined degree of deterioration, by limiting the input / output of power in the battery when the battery upper limit voltage is frequently exceeded and the deterioration of the battery is progressing Further deterioration of the battery can be suppressed.
Further, when the rate of change of the motor rotation speed per unit time exceeds a predetermined value, the battery temperature is detected, the excess frequency is specified in association with the battery temperature, and the degree of deterioration is determined based on the excess frequency and the battery temperature. With the determination configuration, the accuracy of battery deterioration determination can be further improved, and the battery deterioration suppression effect can be enhanced.
Embodiments according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a data recording apparatus related to an electric vehicle battery.
As shown in FIG. 1, a data recording device 10 (hereinafter referred to as a data recording device 10) related to an electric vehicle battery includes a
Motor generator MG2 is an electric motor that is connected to drive wheels (not shown) and drives the hybrid vehicle. Specifically, the rotation shaft of motor generator MG2 is coupled to the drive wheels via a reduction gear, a drive shaft, and a differential gear (not shown). Further, at the time of deceleration, the motor generator MG2 can be regeneratively generated using the rotational energy of the drive wheels.
Motor generator MG1 is a generator driven by an engine (not shown) and also operates as an electric motor for starting the engine. Motor generator MG1 has a rotation shaft connected to the output shaft of the engine via a power distribution mechanism. The power distribution mechanism is a mechanism that is coupled to the engine, the motor generator MG1, and the motor generator MG2, and distributes the power among them. For example, the driving force generated by the engine is divided into the wheel drive and the motor generator MG1. It has a function of distributing power generation.
The
An upper limit voltage is defined for the
As described above, the upper limit voltage and the lower limit voltage of the
The
The electric vehicle includes a
The
As shown in FIG. 1, the hybrid vehicle includes an HV-
In general, a hybrid vehicle drives the vehicle only by the motor generator MG2 when starting or running at a low speed, and during normal running, the power of the engine is divided into two paths by a power split mechanism, while driving wheels are driven. On the other hand, the motor generator MG1 is driven to generate power. At the time of deceleration, regenerative power generation is performed and the collected power is stored in the
The
The
As described above, the

In a state where the electric vehicle is slipping, the rotation speed of motor generator MG2 increases, and the power consumed by motor generator MG2 increases significantly. Therefore, the charging rate of the
The
Further, the
In addition, the
The
The
The
As described above, the
The deterioration
Further, the deterioration
The input /
The operation of the
As described above, the
First, the
Next, the
When it is determined in S11 that the rotation rate change rate of motor generator MG2 per unit time exceeds a predetermined value, it is determined that the upper limit voltage of
If it is determined in S12 that the upper limit voltage of the
Further, as described above, the
As described above, according to the
Moreover, since the
