Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a Bernoulli chuck and a suction holding hand that suck and hold a workpiece in a non-contact manner by utilizing a negative pressure generated at the center of a swirling flow.
The fluid supplied from the gas supply source flows along the smooth curved surface of the bell mouth fluid passage from the joint flow path, where it is compressed and increased in flow velocity, and is ejected from the short offset nozzle to the concave cylindrical chamber. A swirling flow is generated.
In this case, the upstream end of the bellmouth fluid passage is formed with the same diameter as the joint flow path, and the downstream end is formed with the same diameter as the short offset nozzle, and the bellmouth fluid passage formed in a funnel shape. In this part, the flowing air is compressed to increase (accelerate) the flow velocity.
By the way, the negative pressure for sucking the workpiece is proportional to the flow velocity of the swirling flow generated in the concave cylindrical chamber. However, in the conventional non-contact conveyance device, the upstream end of the bell mouth fluid passage and the diameter of the joint passage are the same, and the bell mouth fluid passage is formed in a funnel shape. The pressure loss is large, and there is a problem that a sufficient flow velocity cannot be obtained for the air ejected from the short offset nozzle with respect to the applied pressure (pressure of the gas supply source).
An object of the present invention is to provide a Bernoulli chuck and a suction holding hand capable of efficiently accelerating the jet flow jetted into the swirl flow generation chamber with respect to the pressure on the gas supply source side.
The Bernoulli chuck of the present invention is configured so that the workpiece is brought into non-contact by the negative pressure generated in the center of the swirling flow of the gas generated in the swirling flow generating chamber and the gas flowing out from the end of the swirling flow generating chamber to the side. A Bernoulli chuck for sucking and holding, and a gas jet that generates a swirling flow in the swirling flow generating chamber by jetting a gas along a swirling flow generating chamber formed in a cylindrical shape and an inner peripheral surface of the swirling flow generating chamber A flow path and a chamber flow path that communicates with the upstream end of the gas ejection flow path, and the upstream side is connected to a gas supply source that serves as a gas supply source. And the cross-sectional area of the chamber flow path is sufficiently larger than the cross-sectional area of the tapered nozzle section at the interface between the chamber flow path and the tapered nozzle section.
According to this configuration, the gas flowing into the tapered nozzle portion from the chamber flow path is compressed and accelerated by the tapered nozzle portion. In this case, since the cross-sectional area of the chamber flow path is formed sufficiently larger than the cross-sectional area of the tapered nozzle portion at the mutual interface, even if the gas flow velocity becomes extremely high in the tapered nozzle portion, The flow velocity is close to zero. For this reason, the pressure loss (energy loss) in the chamber flow path can be suppressed to substantially zero. Furthermore, since the tapered nozzle portion is formed in a bell mouth shape, even if the gas flow rate increases, the pressure loss can be suppressed to the maximum. Therefore, the gas can be efficiently compressed with respect to the pressure on the gas supply source side, and the jet flow jetted into the swirl flow generation chamber can be sufficiently speeded up. Thereby, a high-speed swirl flow is generated in the swirl flow generation chamber, a strong negative pressure state can be generated at the center of the swirl flow, and the suction force acting on the workpiece can be significantly increased. The gas here is not limited to air, and may be an inert gas such as nitrogen.
In this case, it is preferable that the tapered nozzle portion compresses the gas flowing in from the chamber flow path so that the flow velocity of the gas ejected into the swirl flow generation chamber reaches the sound velocity.
According to this structure, a stronger negative pressure state can be generated in the central portion of the swirling flow by increasing the jet flow to the maximum flow velocity (sound velocity) possible with this type of tapered nozzle portion. .
In this case, it is preferable that the gas ejection flow path includes a tapered nozzle part on the chamber flow path side and a straight nozzle part on the swirl flow generation chamber side connected to the downstream end of the tapered nozzle part.
According to this configuration, the gas can be guided to the swirl flow generation chamber while maintaining the accelerated flow velocity. Further, the downstream end of the gas ejection flow path can be connected to an arbitrary position of the swirl flow generation chamber by the straight nozzle portion.
In another Bernoulli chuck of the present invention, the workpiece is non-destructed by the negative pressure generated in the center of the swirling flow of the gas generated in the swirling flow generating chamber and the gas flowing out from the end of the swirling flow generating chamber. A Bernoulli chuck that sucks and holds by contact, and generates a swirling flow in the swirling flow generation chamber by ejecting gas along the swirling flow generating chamber formed in a cylindrical shape and the inner peripheral surface of the swirling flow generating chamber. A gas ejection channel, and a chamber channel that communicates with an upstream end of the gas ejection channel, and an upstream side that communicates with a gas supply source that serves as a gas supply source, and the gas ejection channel includes a Laval nozzle. It is characterized by being.
According to this configuration, the gas that has reached the speed of sound at the tapered nozzle portion of the Laval nozzle is further accelerated by reducing the pressure at the divergent portion, and reaches a supersonic speed. That is, the gas flowing into the chamber flow path can be easily accelerated from subsonic speed to supersonic speed. Thereby, a high-speed swirling flow close to the sonic speed is generated in the swirling flow generating chamber, a strong negative pressure state can be generated at the center of the swirling flow, and the suction force acting on the workpiece can be significantly increased.
In this case, it is preferable that the cross-sectional area of the chamber flow path is formed sufficiently larger than the cross-sectional area of the Laval nozzle at the interface between the chamber flow path and the Laval nozzle.
According to this configuration, even if the gas becomes supersonic in the Laval nozzle, the flow velocity of the chamber flow path becomes a value close to zero, and the pressure loss in the chamber flow path can be suppressed to substantially zero. Therefore, it is possible to extremely speed up the jet flow jetted into the swirl flow generation chamber with respect to the pressure on the gas supply source side.
In this case, the Laval nozzle is preferably composed of an upstream tapered nozzle portion and a downstream divergent portion, and the spread angle of each portion in the axial direction of the divergent portion is preferably within 5 °.
According to this configuration, when the gas accelerated by the tapered nozzle part flows through the divergent part, it does not flow in a vortex toward the side surface of the divergent part, and the jet flow is smoothed to supersonic speed while suppressing pressure loss. Can be accelerated.
In this case, it is preferable that the gas ejection flow path is formed so that a part of the downstream peripheral surface thereof overlaps with the tangent line of the swirl flow generation chamber.
According to this configuration, since the jet flow flows from the gas jet flow path into the swirl flow generation chamber while maintaining the laminar flow state, the pressure loss when the linearly flowing jet flow transitions to the swirl flow is sufficiently suppressed. be able to.
In this case, it is preferable that the gas ejection flow path and the chamber flow path are each configured by a pair provided at a 180 ° point symmetrical position with respect to the center of the swirl flow generation chamber.
According to this configuration, it is possible to efficiently generate a swirling flow having no distortion in shape, and to generate a stable swirling flow, that is, a stable negative pressure (with little pressure fluctuation).
The suction holding hand of the present invention has an even number of Bernoulli chucks of at least one set of the above-mentioned Bernoulli chucks whose swirling directions are different in forward and reverse directions, and an even number of Bernoulli chucks in the same plane at the ends of the swirl flow generating chambers. The chuck holder is formed so as to be held in position and formed with an internal flow path communicating with the chamber flow path, and an apparatus mounting portion for supporting the chuck holder.
According to this configuration, the rotational force received by the work due to the vortex flow flowing sideways while turning in the forward direction and the rotational force received by the work caused by the vortex flow flowing sideways while turning in the opposite direction cancel each other. The workpiece can be sucked and held stably. However, since the workpiece is not in contact with the Bernoulli chuck, it is easy to move the held workpiece in the in-plane direction. The device attachment portion is a part for attaching the suction holding hand to a transfer device (for example, a transfer robot).
Hereinafter, a suction holding hand to which a Bernoulli chuck according to a first embodiment of the present invention is applied will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. This suction holding hand uses a plurality of Bernoulli chucks utilizing the Bernoulli effect generated by the flow of gas, and sucks and holds an electronic component (workpiece) in which an IC chip is packaged in an SOP package, for example, It is used by attaching it to the tip of a transfer robot equipped in an inspection device or mounter.

The holder
The
As shown in FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The swirl flow
The
The
Here, the

The tapered
Next, the conditions for the gas flowing out from the tapered
Here, a0 = 340 m / s (sound speed) and κ = 1.401 (specific heat ratio). That is, the flow velocity of the gas to be ejected depends on the ratio of the inflow pressure P0 and the ejection pressure (suction pressure) Pw, and when the ejection pressure Pw <inflow pressure P0 <atmospheric pressure, The flow velocity reaches the speed of sound. The tapered
Next, the
The tapered
According to these configurations, the gas flowing into the tapered
In the
Further, the
