Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an oil passage structure of an internal combustion engine for supplying oil for lubrication or operation to each part of the engine with an oil pump or the like driven by the engine.
In an engine, oil stored in an oil pan is pumped to each part of the engine through an oil passage formed in the engine by an oil pump driven by the engine. These oils are used as lubricating oil and operating oil in each part of the engine, and then returned to the oil pan (Patent Document 1).
By the way, air may be mixed in the oil such as bubbles generated in the oil pump. When air enters the oil, for example, when the engine is stopped, fine bubbles gather and an air pool is generated. When the engine is started, air is collected and introduced into the oil pump and various hydraulic devices, causing air jamming and In the oil passage structure of an internal combustion engine, it is required to extract air from the oil because it causes problems such as the generation of abnormal noise. In addition, engines such as automobiles are becoming more sophisticated and complex year by year, and it is also required that the air is effectively removed in a limited space.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and provides an oil passage structure of an internal combustion engine that can release air in oil circulating inside the engine with a simple and compact structure. With the goal.
In order to solve the above problems, an oil passage structure of an internal combustion engine according to the present invention is an oil passage structure of an internal combustion engine that sends oil to each part of the engine. An oil passage, a variable valve oil passage which is connected to the lubricating oil passage via a first branch portion and supplies hydraulic oil to the hydraulic variable valve device via a hydraulic control valve, and the lubricating oil passage To the hydraulic lash adjuster and supplying oil for operating the lash adjuster to the hydraulic lash adjuster, and only to the second branch portion of the first and second branch portions. And an air separation unit that separates air in the oil pressure-fed to each of the oil passages of the lash adjuster and the lubricating oil passage.
According to the present invention, since the air separation portion that separates the air in the oil pressure-fed to each oil passage of the lash adjuster oil passage and the lubricating oil passage is provided, the oil introduced into each oil passage The air inside can be effectively removed. Here, in order to perform air bleeding of each oil passage, it is also assumed that an air bleeding structure, that is, an air separation portion is provided for each oil passage, but when an air separation portion or the like is provided for each oil passage, The result is contrary to the demand for a compact engine.
In this regard, the inventor of the present invention verifies the generation mechanism and the content of the malfunction due to air mixing into the oil, and when the engine is stopped, minute bubbles in the oil accumulate and an air pool is generated. It is found that this air reservoir is introduced into an oil passage through which oil is constantly circulated when the engine is restarted, and that there is a high possibility that a malfunction will occur due to the supply of air to the oil passage in the constantly circulated state. It came to. Based on this knowledge, the inventor of the present invention has found that the oil passage in the cylinder head, that is, the oil passage for lubrication, the oil passage for the variable valve, the oil passage for the lash adjuster, and the oil passage through which the oil is always circulated. And the rush adjuster oil passage, it was conceived that an air separation portion was provided, and the air separation portion was provided only in the second branch portion of the first and second branch portions. For this reason, air is separated by the air separation part in a situation where there is a high possibility of occurrence of a malfunction due to air mixing, such as when the engine is restarted, and the occurrence of the malfunction can be effectively suppressed. Further, since the air separation part is provided in the second branch part, it is not necessary to provide an air separation part in each of the lubricating oil path and the lash adjuster oil path, and the air separation part of each of the oil paths is provided. They can be shared, and can be configured at a low cost and in a compact manner.
In the present invention, the air separation part is constituted by a hollow member extending in the vertical direction, and the oil passages are connected to at least one of an intermediate part and a lower part of the internal space. Air is accumulated in the upper portion of the internal space, and the downstream side of the air separation portion in the lubricating oil passage is connected to the internal space of the air separation portion above the lash adjuster oil passage. It is preferable.
In this way, the air separation part is configured by a hollow member extending in the vertical direction, and the oil passages are connected to at least one of the intermediate part and the lower part of the internal space, whereby the upper part of the internal space Therefore, the air separation unit can be configured easily and at low cost. Here, among the problems due to air mixing, there is a demand for avoiding the air biting of the hydraulic lash adjuster because the cam position changes unintentionally and causes abnormal noise. Therefore, according to the above configuration, the downstream side of the air separation portion in the lubricating oil passage is connected to the internal space of the air separation portion above the lash adjuster oil passage. Even when air accumulates excessively in the internal space, the air can be discharged through the lubricating oil passage, and the entry of air into the lash adjuster oil passage can be effectively suppressed.
Furthermore, in the present invention, it is preferable that the air separation portion is located above the lash adjuster oil passage.
With this configuration, even when oil mixed with air is introduced into the lash adjuster oil passage when the engine is stopped, the air bubbles are easily introduced to the air separation section, and the air in the oil flowing into the lash adjuster oil passage is vented. Can be performed more reliably.
Further, a bypass oil passage connecting the variable valve oil passage and the lubricating oil passage is further provided, and an end of the bypass oil passage on the variable valve oil passage side is the hydraulic control valve in the variable valve oil passage. It is preferable that it is connected to the downstream side.
If comprised in this way, even when the said hydraulic control valve is a valve closing state, oil can be filled into the oil path for variable valves through a bypass oil path, and the responsiveness of a variable valve apparatus can be improved. .
If a bypass oil passage is provided, the oil to the variable valve oil passage through the bypass oil passage can be increased by increasing the flow resistance by reducing the diameter of the bypass oil passage relative to the lubricating oil passage. The supply amount can be adjusted.
Furthermore, in this invention, it is preferable that the end portion of the bypass oil passage on the lubricating oil passage side is connected to the upstream side of the air separation portion in the lubricating oil passage.
That is, if the hydraulic control valve is opened during operation of the variable valve device, the oil may flow back through the bypass oil passage by filling the variable valve oil passage with oil all at once. Therefore, as described above, if the end of the bypass oil passage on the lubricating oil passage side is connected to the upstream side of the air separation portion in the lubricating oil passage, air bubbles mixed in the backflowed oil Can also be effectively removed by the air separation part.
According to the oil passage structure of the internal combustion engine according to the present invention, engine oil, in particular, air in the oil introduced into the cylinder head can be effectively removed. In addition, the air separation part can be effectively arranged, and the number of air separation parts can be suppressed with respect to the number of oil passages, and the oil passage of the internal combustion engine can be configured in a low cost and compact manner.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of an engine (internal combustion engine) to which an oil passage structure of an internal combustion engine according to an embodiment of the present invention is applied. First, the overall configuration of the engine will be briefly described with reference to FIG.

A spark plug 9 is installed at the top of the
In addition, an
The

Next, the oil supply to each part of the
In the
Specifically, the oil stored in the
The
On the other hand, the head-side
As shown in FIG. 4, the first
The head-side
A
Bypassing the
Since the
In the
The head-side
Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the
The internal space of the
Further, the upstream portion, the
Therefore, when air is mixed in the oil introduced into the

The
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6, the lash
According to the oil passage structure of the engine (internal combustion engine) having the above configuration, the oil is sent to the head side lubricating
Specifically, when the
Note that when the
In view of the mechanism of occurrence of such trouble due to air mixing, in the engine oil passage structure of the present embodiment, the
Further, since the
Further, the
In addition, since the downstream portion of the
Further, since the
By the way, when the
