Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a seal shutter mechanism, and more particularly to a seal shutter mechanism provided in a powder conveyance port provided in a powder container and into which a powder conveyance member is inserted and removed.
An image forming apparatus includes: an electrostatic latent image carrier on which an electrostatic latent image is formed based on image information; a developing device that supplies toner to the surface of the electrostatic latent image carrier; And a developer replenishing device. In this image forming apparatus, an electrostatic latent image based on image information is formed on the electrostatic latent image carrier. Then, the developer is supplied from the developing unit to the electrostatic latent image carrier on which the electrostatic latent image is formed. In this way, an image of the developer is formed on the electrostatic latent image carrier, and the image on the electrostatic latent image carrier is transferred to a sheet. When the developer in the developing device decreases, the developer is supplied to the developing device by the developer supply device.
Here, the developer replenishing device includes a developer container disposed outside the developing device and a developer supply member. The developing device is provided with a hole through which the developer supply member can pass, and an elastic member provided with a slit is attached to cover the hole. When replenishing the developer, the developer in the developer container is transported to the developer supply member, and the developer supply member is moved so as to pass through the slit of the elastic member. Thereafter, the developer is supplied from the developer supply member to the developing device (see Patent Document 1).
In the above elastic member, when the developer supply member is inserted into the slit, the end of the slit remains open, so that the developer can leak from this portion to the outside of the developing device. There is sex. Further, when the developer supply member is extracted from the slit, the developer attached to the supply port of the developer supply member cannot be scraped off. For this reason, the developer adhered in the vicinity of the supply port of the developer supply member may spill out of the developing device and be contaminated by the developer.
An object of the present invention is to prevent contamination by a developer by making it difficult for the developer to leak out of the developing device from the developing device.
The seal shutter mechanism according to claim 1 is a seal shutter mechanism provided in a powder conveyance port provided in a powder container and into which a powder conveyance member is inserted and removed, and includes a first elastic member and a biasing member. And a second elastic member. The first elastic member is disposed so as to cover the powder conveyance port, and a first slit into which the powder conveyance member can be inserted is formed. The biasing member biases the vicinity of the first slit of the first elastic member so that the first slit of the first elastic member is closed. The second elastic member is disposed outside the first elastic member, allows the powder conveying member to pass therethrough, can scrape the powder adhering to the powder conveying member, and leaks from the first slit. Regulate the scattering of
In this seal shutter mechanism, the powder conveying member moves so as to pass through the first slit and the second elastic member of the first elastic member when supplying the developer as the powder to the developing device as the powder container. The developer is supplied to the developing device. Then, when the supply of the developer is finished, the powder conveying member is moved from the first slit. At this time, the developer leaking from the end of the first slit is restricted from being scattered by the second elastic member, and the developer is returned from the first slit into the developing device during the subsequent developer replenishment operation. Further, the developer attached to the powder conveying member is scraped off by the second elastic member.
Here, the second elastic member can prevent the developer from being scattered, and the developer adhered to the powder conveying member is scraped off, so that the contamination by the developer can be prevented.
A seal shutter mechanism according to a second aspect is the seal shutter mechanism according to the first aspect, wherein the second elastic member is disposed so that a part thereof overlaps the first sheet-like member and the first sheet-like member. An elastic sheet having a second sheet-like member and / or an elastic seal in which a second slit is formed.
Here, the scattering of the developer is prevented by the elastic sheet and / or the elastic seal.
A seal shutter mechanism according to a third aspect is the seal shutter mechanism according to the second aspect, wherein a third slit is formed at a portion where the first sheet-like member and the second sheet-like member overlap each other.
Here, since the elastic sheet is formed by overlapping two sheets, the two sheet-like members are elastically deformed when the powder conveying member is inserted into a portion where the two sheets overlap. When the powder conveying member is extracted, the developer attached to the powder conveying member can be scraped off while releasing the elastic deformation. Further, since the elastic force of the sheet-like member is not weakened even when the powder conveying member is repeatedly inserted and removed, the developer is longer in comparison with the case where a slit is made in one sheet-like member. Can be prevented. In addition, the force for scraping off the developer attached to the powder conveying member can be made difficult to drop.
The seal shutter mechanism according to
A seal shutter mechanism according to a fifth aspect is the seal shutter mechanism according to any one of the second to fourth aspects, wherein the second slit is formed to have an angle different from that of the first slit, and is provided at both ends. A small-diameter hole is drilled.
Here, even when the powder conveying member is repeatedly inserted into and removed from the second slit, stress can be prevented from concentrating at both ends, so that the second slit is difficult to tear.
A seal shutter mechanism according to a sixth aspect is the seal shutter mechanism according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, wherein the powder conveying member has a powder supply port at a portion located in the developing device. And an elastic deformation restricting member that is disposed on the surface of the first elastic member and restricts elastic deformation associated with insertion / removal of the powder conveying member of the first elastic member.
Here, since the first elastic member is prevented from being elastically deformed with the insertion / removal of the powder conveying member, it is difficult to block the powder supply port of the powder conveying member by the first elastic member.
In the present invention, contamination by the developer can be prevented by making it difficult for the developer to leak out of the developing device from the developing device.

The four

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, each of the four developing

The
The developing
The first
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the first
The insertion /
The

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, the elastic

[Operation]
In the
When the toner in the developing device
Here, toner scattering can be prevented by the second
