Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a paper supply cassette that is detachably attached to an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a facsimile machine, a printer, or a multifunction machine having these functions.
As an image forming apparatus as described above, an image recording unit (for example, an electrophotographic image recording unit) installed in the middle of a paper conveyance path performs image recording from a paper supply unit, and a recorded paper discharge unit Examples include one configured to discharge and deposit paper on a (discharge tray). A paper supply cassette is detachably attached to the paper supply unit. The paper supply cassette includes a main body case that accommodates a large number of sheets in a stacked state, and a paper push-up plate that is supported so as to be swingable in a state in which upward elasticity is applied in the main body case. The paper push-up plate is supported by a swinging fulcrum in the main body case, and an elastic force such as a compression coil spring is always given upward elasticity to the front side thereof. It is configured to be pressed against the supply roller. When the supply roller rotates, the stacked sheets are separated one by one from the uppermost part by the cooperative action with the separation pad (separation pad system) or by the cooperative action with the separation claw (separation claw system). Are fed out and supplied to the recording unit. If the leading edge of the accumulated paper is not always pressed against the supply roller, the paper is not fed out normally. Therefore, an end guide is attached to the trailing edge of the paper, and the leading edge of the accumulated paper is The position is regulated so that the portion can always receive the action of the supply roller.
In the sheet supply cassette as described above, the sheet bundle is pushed up by the push-up plate, and is fed out one by one from the uppermost portion with the leading end pressed against the supply roller. The number of sheets will decrease. As the number of sheet bundles decreases, the inclination angle of the push-up plate increases, and the contact position of the leading edge of the sheet with respect to the supply roller shifts backward. When such a misalignment occurs, in the case of the separation pad method, the leading edge of the paper does not reach the nip portion of the paper by the supply roller and the separation pad. Both of which cause paper node feed. Therefore, the spring is inserted in the end guide, or the end guide itself is made of an elastic material, so that elasticity is maintained in the paper supply direction and the rear end of the paper is pushed to prevent the above-mentioned positional deviation. is doing.
In the paper supply cassette disclosed in
In the case of the paper supply cassette of
Further, in the paper supply cassette disclosed in
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and is capable of providing a stable supply of sheets corresponding to various sizes of sheets and also corresponding to changes in the number of sheets stacked, while having a simple configuration. An object of the present invention is to provide a paper supply cassette that can be used.
The paper supply cassette of the present invention includes a main body case that accommodates a large number of sheets in a stacked state, a paper push-up plate that is swingably supported in an upward elasticity in the main body case, and A paper supply cassette including a paper rear end regulating end guide that is detachably attached to a mounting portion provided at a predetermined position corresponding to a paper size on a bottom portion of the main body case, wherein the end guide is attached to the mounting case. And a movable base supported in a state of retaining elasticity in the paper supply direction with respect to the mounting base, the movable part having a protrusion, and the main body case A restricting portion for receiving the protrusion and restricting the movable width of the movable portion is provided in correspondence with each of the mounting portions, and the movable restricting width by each restricting portion is the width of each size sheet. When the minimum number of sheets versus full Characterized in that it is set in accordance with the positional deviation amount of the sheet rear end.
In the present invention, it is desirable that the movable regulation width is set to be larger as the paper size is smaller. Moreover, as a formation aspect of the said protrusion, the case where it forms in the side part of a movable part horizontally is employ | adopted when forming in the lower part of the said movable part downward. In the former case, the restricting portion is formed in a groove shape at the bottom of the main body case. In the latter case, the bottom of the main body case is provided with a long groove along the paper supply direction, the attachment portions are formed at the groove bottom of the long groove, and the restricting portion is cut out on the groove wall of the long groove. Formed.
According to the paper supply cassette of the present invention, the sheet bundle accumulated on the paper push-up plate is pushed up by the paper push-up plate that is elastically supported upward and is swingably supported. The tip of the roller is pressed against the supply roller installed at the top. In addition to being installed in the main body case of the paper supply cassette, the supply roller may be installed in the main body of an image forming apparatus or the like to which the paper supply cassette is mounted, and is combined with a separation pad or separated. In combination with the nail, the separation method is configured. Then, since the leading end of the accumulated paper is pressed against the supply roller, when the supply roller rotates, the uppermost paper of the stacked paper is fed out under the rotating action. Since the supply roller is combined with a separation pad or a separation claw to constitute a mechanism for separating and supplying the sheets one by one, the sheets are fed one by one without causing double feed. At the bottom of the main body case, a paper rear end regulating end guide can be detachably attached to a mounting portion provided at a predetermined position corresponding to the paper size. It can be attached to a predetermined attachment part. As a result, the paper can be deposited in an appropriate trailing edge regulation state. The end guide includes an attachment base portion that is detachably attached to the attachment portion, and a movable portion that is supported in a state of holding elasticity in the paper supply direction with respect to the attachment base portion. The elasticity of the movable part always acts on the rear end part. Therefore, the sheet bundle is maintained at a normal position where the leading end thereof receives the action of the supply roller by the pressing force of the movable portion.
As the sheet is fed out as described above, the number of sheets stacked on the sheet push-up plate decreases, and accordingly, the swing side of the sheet push-up plate swings upward. As the swinging angle of the paper push-up plate increases, the leading edge of the paper stack deviates from the normal position where the action of the supply roller is applied. In the case of the separation pad method, the nip position between the supply roller and the separation pad does not reach. Or, in the case of the separation claw method, it is not caught at the corner of the leading edge of the paper. However, since the elastic force of the movable portion is constantly acting on the rear end portion of the sheet bundle, this shift is suppressed and the leading end portion of the sheet bundle is maintained at the normal position. Further, as the number of sheet bundles approaches the minimum number, the pressing force due to the elasticity of the movable part tends to become excessive with respect to the sheet bundle. However, the paper supply cassette of the present invention is provided with a restricting portion for restricting the movable width of the movable portion corresponding to each mounting portion, and the movable restricting width by each restricting portion is full of sheets of each size. It is set according to the amount of positional deviation of the trailing edge of the sheet when the minimum number of sheets with respect to time. Therefore, even if the movable part is set to have elasticity that can counteract the force that the trailing edge of the sheet bundle at full load pushes back the end guide, the movement of the movable part is restricted by the restriction part when the number of sheets is the minimum. Therefore, the pressing force due to the elastic force of the movable portion does not become excessive with respect to the sheet bundle. As a result, the sheet does not loosen when the number of sheet bundles decreases, or the sheet does not run on the end guide due to insufficient pressing force when the sheet is full. In addition, the movable regulation width is set according to the amount of positional deviation of the trailing edge of the paper at the time of the minimum number of sheets with respect to the full loading of each size of paper, so that the above function is properly exhibited for various sizes of paper. In addition, even when a large amount of paper is accommodated, stable paper supply is possible.
Further, if the movable regulation width is set to be larger as the paper size is smaller, the amount of positional deviation of the rear end of the paper at the time of the minimum number of sheets with respect to the full loading of small paper is increased as the amount of paper accommodated increases. Since the size is increased, the above-described movement restriction according to each size of the paper is effectively performed. In addition, the above-described two kinds of forms can be adopted as the form of the protrusions. In either case, each of the protrusions of the movable part can be attached by attaching the attachment base to a predetermined attachment part. It is received by the restriction part provided corresponding to the part. Therefore, an appropriate movement restriction effect according to each size of the paper is exhibited.

As shown in detail in FIGS. 4 and 5, the
A pair of support pins 711 are formed on both upper end sides of the base
The rocking restriction width of the
The elasticity provided by the
As described above, the
FIG. 7 shows another embodiment of the paper supply cassette of the present invention. In this embodiment, a projecting
