Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a stator cooling structure for cooling a stator with a cooling medium, and more particularly to a stator cooling structure for cooling a stator by supplying a cooling medium to a coil end of the stator.
In recent years, vehicles such as hybrid vehicles using an engine (internal combustion engine) and a motor (electric motor) as power sources have become familiar. In such a vehicle drive device, a motor is incorporated in the case. Since the motor generates heat during driving, it is necessary to cool the motor stator. This is because the performance may be reduced by the heat generated by the motor.
However, in the above-described technology, the cooling oil is sufficiently supplied to the motor that is disposed on the front side in the vehicle direction and mainly functions as a generator. However, the motor that is disposed on the rear side in the vehicle direction and mainly functions as an electric motor. There was a problem that the supply of cooling oil to the tank was insufficient. That is, the stator of the motor acting as an electric motor cannot be efficiently cooled. This is because, in a motor acting as an electric motor, cooling oil is sufficiently supplied to a coil end on one end side (engine side: vehicle direction front side), but the other end side (transmission side: vehicle direction rear side). This is because almost no cooling oil is supplied to the coil ends.
Here, in order to supply sufficient cooling oil to the other end side coil end of the motor acting as an electric motor, a new oil passage may be formed, but such an oil passage is provided in the case or the rotor shaft. There is a need. For this reason, if a new oil passage is formed, the shape of the case or the rotor shaft must be changed significantly, resulting in an increase in product cost.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and cooling of the stator that can efficiently cool the stator of the motor without significantly increasing the product cost without changing the shape. It is an object to provide a structure.
The stator cooling structure according to the present invention, which has been made to solve the above problems, is a stator cooling structure for cooling a stator of an electric motor provided in a case, and the case formed above the outer periphery of the stator. Cooling medium supply means for supplying a cooling medium for cooling the stator in the axial direction with respect to the gap of the stator, provided inside the case and above the outer periphery of the coil end of the stator, from the cooling medium supply means And a first guide member for guiding a part of the supplied cooling medium to the coil end of the stator.
In this stator cooling structure, the cooling medium for cooling the stator of the electric motor is supplied from the cooling medium supply means in the axial direction to the gap formed with the case formed above the outer periphery of the stator. Thereby, the cooling medium is supplied to the back of the case while traveling along the inner peripheral surface of the case. Here, a part of the cooling medium supplied from the cooling medium supply means naturally falls in the middle of the case while being transmitted along the inner peripheral surface of the case, and is supplied to the stator. However, most of the cooling medium supplied from the cooling medium supply means collides with the rear end face of the case (case inner wall) and falls down as it is along the inner peripheral surface of the case. For this reason, there is a possibility that the cooling medium may not be sufficiently supplied to the stator of the electric motor.
Therefore, in this stator cooling structure, the first guide member is provided inside the case and above the outer periphery of the coil end of the stator. By this first guide member, a part of the cooling medium supplied to the back of the case while being guided along the inner peripheral surface of the case is guided to the coil end of the stator. Thereby, a sufficient cooling medium can be supplied to the coil end on the back side of the case (transmission side) where the supply of the cooling medium was insufficient. Therefore, the stator can be efficiently cooled.
Thus, according to this stator cooling structure, the stator of the electric motor can be efficiently cooled by providing the first guide member inside the case. The first guide member can be provided inside the case by being integrally formed when the case is formed. For this reason, it is not necessary to change the shape of the case significantly, and the product cost does not increase.
In the stator cooling structure according to the present invention, it is preferable that the first guide member has a receiving port shape with respect to a cooling medium supply direction from the cooling medium supply means.
Here, the shape of the receptacle is a shape that can reduce the flow velocity of the cooling medium that is supplied from the cooling medium supply means and flows to the back of the case along the inner peripheral surface of the case (blocks the flow).
By adopting such a shape of the first guide member, the flow rate of the cooling medium supplied from the cooling medium supply means and flowing to the back of the case while traveling along the inner peripheral surface of the case is reliably reduced and dropped downward. Can be made. Thereby, sufficient cooling medium can be reliably supplied with respect to the coil end of the case back side (transmission side) where supply of the cooling medium was insufficient. Therefore, the stator can be efficiently and reliably cooled.
In the stator cooling structure according to the present invention, it is desirable that the first guide member is disposed in the same plane as the inner peripheral surface of the case.
With such a configuration, the cooling medium supplied to the back of the case while being transmitted along the inner peripheral surface of the case can be reliably guided by the coil end of the stator by the first guide member. Thereby, sufficient cooling medium can be more reliably supplied with respect to the coil end of the case back side (transmission side) where supply of the cooling medium was insufficient. Therefore, the stator can be cooled more reliably and efficiently.
In the stator cooling structure according to the present invention, among the cooling medium supplied from the cooling medium supply means, the one that flows in the circumferential direction along the outer peripheral surface of the case along the outer periphery of the coil end of the stator, It is desirable to have a second guide member that leads to the coil end of the stator.
A part of the cooling medium supplied from the cooling medium supply means flows in the circumferential direction after colliding with the first guide member through the inner peripheral surface of the case or without colliding with the first guide member. There is. The cooling medium flowing in the circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface of the case is guided to the coil end of the stator by the second guide member. Thereby, a sufficient cooling medium can be supplied more reliably. As a result, the cooling medium supplied from the cooling medium supply means can be supplied over a wide range to the coil end on the case back side (transmission side) where the supply of the cooling medium was insufficient. Therefore, the stator can be cooled very efficiently.
In the stator cooling structure according to the present invention, it is desirable that the cooling medium supply means has an axial supply path for supplying a cooling medium in an axial direction to the inner peripheral surface of the case.
With such a configuration, the cooling medium can be reliably supplied in the axial direction with respect to the inner peripheral surface of the case. As a result, as described above, at least one of the first guide member and the second guide member causes the cooling medium to be supplied to the coil end on the back side of the case (transmission side) where the supply of the cooling medium was insufficient. Can be reliably supplied. Thereby, the stator can be efficiently cooled.
In the stator cooling structure according to the present invention, the cooling medium supply means is disposed on one end side of the electric motor, and a coil end supply path that supplies the cooling medium to a coil end located on one end side of the stator of the electric motor; It is desirable to have an axial supply path for supplying the cooling medium in the axial direction.
With such a configuration, the cooling medium can be reliably supplied to the coil end located on one end side of the stator of the electric motor by the coil end supply path. Further, since the cooling medium can be reliably supplied in the axial direction to the inner peripheral surface of the case by the axial supply path, as described above, at least one of the first guide member and the second guide member is provided. Thus, the cooling medium can be reliably supplied to the coil end on the back side of the case (transmission side) where the supply of the cooling medium is insufficient. For these reasons, the cooling medium can be sufficiently supplied to the coil ends on both sides of the stator of the electric motor. Therefore, the stator of the electric motor can be cooled more efficiently.
In the stator cooling structure according to the present invention, a generator is further disposed in the case, and the cooling medium supply unit is disposed between the motor and the generator, and each of the motor and the generator is provided. It is desirable to distribute and supply a cooling medium to each stator included in the.
When the electric motor and the generator are arranged in the case as described above, the cooling medium supply means is arranged between the electric motor and the electric generator so that each stator included in each of the electric motor and the electric generator is provided. By distributing and supplying the cooling medium, it is possible to efficiently cool not only the stator of the motor but also the stator of the generator without increasing the product cost without changing the shape significantly. Can do.
According to the stator cooling structure of the present invention, as described above, the stator of the motor can be efficiently cooled without significantly changing the shape and without increasing the product cost.
Hereinafter, a most preferred embodiment in which the stator cooling structure of the present invention is embodied will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. The present embodiment is a drive device to which the stator cooling structure of the present invention is applied. This drive device is of a vertical type mounted on a hybrid vehicle of a front engine / rear drive (FR). Therefore, the driving apparatus according to the embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a schematic configuration of a drive device according to an embodiment.
As shown in FIG. 1, a driving

The
A motor generator MG2 is arranged coaxially with the motor generator MG1 and the
Similarly to the motor generator MG1, the motor generator MG2 also has a function (power running function) as an electric motor driven by supplying electric power and a function (regeneration function) as a generator that converts mechanical energy into electric energy. . Motor generator MG2 mainly operates as an electric motor. For example, an AC synchronous motor generator can be used as the motor generator MG2, and a power storage device such as a battery or a capacitor or a known fuel cell can be used as the power supply device. The motor generator MG2 in the present embodiment corresponds to the “motor” of the present invention.

Motor generator MG 1, motor generator MG 2,
Further, the
Cooling oil passage 41 is supplied with cooling oil to coil end supply oil passage 41a for supplying cooling oil to
Then, the cooling oil pumped from the
Here, for motor generator MG1, cooling oil passage 41 is provided over the entire axial direction. Therefore, the
On the other hand, the cooling
Therefore, it is difficult to cool the

As shown in FIG. 2, a
Here, a part of the cooling oil colliding with the
The
More specifically, the power generated by the engine is divided into two paths by the
Motor generator MG1 charges the power generated by the engine power to a battery (not shown) or supplies it to motor generator MG2 in accordance with the traveling state of the vehicle. When the engine is started, motor generator MG1 functions as a starter, and performs cranking by rotating the output shaft of the engine.
Motor generator MG2 is driven by at least one of the electric power stored in the battery and the electric power generated by motor generator MG1. That is, in motor generator MG2,
When motor generators MG1 and MG2 are driven,
Specifically, the cooling oil is supplied from the coil end
In addition, the cooling oil that has collided with the
In this way, the cooling oil supplied from the axial
Since the
On the other hand, cooling oil is distributed from cooling
As described above in detail, according to the driving
