Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a steering control unit for controlling driving of an electric power steering apparatus.
By the way, when the vehicle is stopped and the steering wheel is turned, so-called stationary, the steering resistance becomes larger and the motor driving current becomes larger than usual (when the steering wheel is turned during traveling). Then, the current drawn from the battery to the steering control unit also becomes a large current, and the output voltage of the battery temporarily decreases together with the remaining capacity of the battery. As a result, it is impossible to supply a desired motor drive current, the output torque of the assist motor is insufficient, and a situation may occur in which the steering feeling is uncomfortable.
On the other hand, measures for increasing the capacity of the battery and connecting the battery and the auxiliary power source in parallel to the cable extending from the steering control unit are conceivable. However, any of the countermeasures has a problem that the power loss in the cable increases as the current drawn into the steering control unit increases, resulting in a decrease in energy efficiency.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a steering control unit that can maintain a steering feeling well when the vehicle is stationary and is excellent in energy efficiency.
In order to achieve the above object, a steering control unit (40) according to the invention of claim 1 has a motor drive current (Iu, Iv,...) Applied to an assist motor (19) as a drive source of the electric power steering device (11). The unit case (41) accommodates a motor drive circuit (43) for flowing Iw) and a control circuit (44) for controlling the motor drive current (Iu, Iv, Iw) according to the steering resistance (T1). In the steering control unit (40) connected to the battery (92) of the vehicle (10) via a cable, a boost chopper circuit () is connected to the DC auxiliary power source (56) comprising a capacitor (56) or a secondary battery. 50) and an auxiliary power supply circuit (60) connected in parallel with the battery (92) to the motor drive circuit (43), and the battery (92) A current sensor (57) for detecting the battery supply current (Ib) drawn into the rudder control unit (40) and / or a voltage sensor (57B) for detecting the battery supply voltage (Vb), and a step-up chopper circuit ( 50), the battery disconnecting switch means (54, D2) for disconnecting between the battery (92) and the auxiliary power circuit (60) and the boost chopper circuit (50) are stopped. The charging circuit (70, 71) for charging the DC auxiliary power source (56) with the supply current (Ib) is accommodated in the unit case (41), and the control circuit (44) is connected to the current sensor (57). ) Is greater than a predetermined reference current (Ik) and / or is detected by the voltage sensor (57B). When (Vb) becomes smaller than a predetermined reference voltage (Vbk), the boost chopper circuit (50) is operated to supply power from the auxiliary power supply circuit (60) to the motor drive circuit (43), while supplying the battery When the current (Ib) is smaller than the reference current (Ik) and / or when the battery supply voltage (Vb) is larger than the reference voltage (Vbk), the step-up chopper circuit (50) is stopped and the motor driving circuit from the battery (92) is stopped. (43) is characterized in that it feeds power.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the steering control unit (40) according to the first aspect, the control circuit (44) increases the output voltage of the auxiliary power circuit (60) as the steering angular velocity (ω) increases. The step-up chopper circuit (50) is activated.
[Invention of Claim 1]
In the steering control unit according to the first aspect, normally, the motor driving current is generated by the electric power supplied from the battery to the motor driving circuit to drive the assist motor of the electric power steering apparatus. Then, the motor driving current increases due to the stationary operation, and accordingly, the battery supply current drawn from the battery to the steering control unit also increases to reach the reference current, and / or the battery supply voltage becomes the reference voltage. When the voltage drops further, power is supplied from the auxiliary power supply circuit to the motor drive circuit instead of the battery. Here, since the auxiliary power supply circuit is formed by connecting a step-up chopper circuit to the DC auxiliary power supply, even if the output voltage of the DC auxiliary power supply decreases due to power supply to the motor drive circuit, the amount of decrease is pulled up by the step-up chopper circuit. be able to. Thereby, a shortage of output torque of the assist motor during the stationary operation can be prevented, and the steering feeling can be maintained well. In addition, since the auxiliary power circuit is housed inside the unit case in the steering control unit together with the motor drive circuit, power loss when power is supplied from the auxiliary power circuit to the motor drive circuit via a cable outside the unit case. It is possible to suppress the power loss when power is supplied from the battery to the motor drive circuit, and the energy efficiency is excellent.
[Invention of claim 2]
Although the steering resistance increases during the stationary operation, the steering resistance further increases when the stationary operation is performed steeply. On the other hand, in the steering control unit of claim 2, when the steering angular velocity increases, the output voltage of the auxiliary power supply circuit is increased to assist the steering when the steering operation is performed sharply. Insufficient motor output torque can be prevented.

Note that, for example, the

The
The

That is, when the battery supply current Ib has not reached the reference current Ik (S9: NO) or when the battery supply voltage Vb is equal to or higher than the reference voltage Vbk (S10: NO), the capacitor output voltage Vc is equal to the reference voltage Vk. If smaller (S15: YES), the

This completes the description of the configuration of the
On the other hand, for example, when the
Here, since the auxiliary
When the stationary operation is stopped and the normal operation is resumed, the steering resistance also decreases, and the battery supply current Ib falls below the reference current Ik or the battery supply voltage Vb exceeds the reference voltage Vbk. In addition to returning to the power supply to 43, the output of the
As described above, according to the
