自動車の車室内に配置されたスライドシート側方のドア開口下縁に連続するようにスカッフプレートを車体パネルの車内側に取り付けるスカッフプレート取付構造であって、
上記スカッフプレートは、乗降時に足を掛けるステップ部と、車室内の床を構成するフロアマットと略同一平面上に位置するように上記ステップ部から立ち上がる立上がり部とからなり、
上記立上がり部の車内側の端縁には、フランジ部が車内側に向かって突設されているとともに、該フランジ部下方の立上がり部には、フランジ部よりも突出寸法が長くて先端がフランジ部先端よりも車内側に位置するようにフックが車内側に向かって突設され、かつ上記ステップ部裏面の車外側の端縁には、係止部が下方に向かって突設され、
上記スライドシート下面には、スライドレールが車体前後方向に延びるように垂設され、
上記フロアマットには、上記スライドレールを係合させて上記スライドシートをフロアマットの上方位置で車体前後方向にスライド可能なように案内支持する固定レールが当該フロアマットと略同一平面上に位置するように配置され、
