Abstract
【解決手段】ビデオゲームは、ゲームプレイの途中でプレイヤーがイメージ要素14をマウスクリックしたときに、そのゲームプレイが自動的に休止されて、提供される広告と関連付けられてよい。ゲームプレイが休止されるとすぐに、そのゲームプレイの途中で見たイメージ要素に関連するアイテムをユーザが購入することを可能にする広告用グラフィカル・ユーザインターフェースが表示されてよい。

Description
ビデオゲームは、アニメビデオシーケンス(動画化ビデオシーケンス;animated video sequence)といったビデオシーケンスを生成する図1に示されたような複数のイメージ又はグラフィカル・ユーザインターフェース10を含んでよい。それぞれのビデオシーケンスは、多数のフレーム又はグラフィカル・ユーザインターフェース10を含んでいる。仮想的なグラフィカル・ユーザインターフェース10は、背景のイメージ要素12及びアクションキャラクタのイメージ要素14を含んでいる。例えば、アクションキャラクタのイメージ要素14は、敵であってよく、このビデオゲームは、ユーザがアクションキャラクタをやっつけるために何らかのタイプのバーチャルウェポン(仮想の武器)を発射することを中心に話が展開してよい。
Claims (20)
- ビデオゲームのイメージ要素のユーザ選択を認識するステップと、
前記イメージ要素の前記ユーザ選択に応じて広告を表示するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とするビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。 - 前記ユーザ選択に応じてビデオゲームを自動的に休止するステップを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- 前記ユーザ選択を認識するステップは、前記ビデオゲームにおけるイメージ要素の1つとしてホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素を提供するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- 前記ユーザ選択を認識するステップは、カーソルが前記ホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素上にあるときにユーザのマウスクリック選択を認識するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- 前記ビデオゲームを自動的に休止するステップは、選択されたイメージ要素が該イメージ要素に関連する広告を含むときだけに前記ビデオゲームを休止するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- 記録可能な記憶媒体にビデオゲームを提供して、該記録可能な記憶媒体に前記広告を記憶するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- 記録可能な記憶媒体に前記ビデオゲームを記憶し、かつ、インターネット上での前記広告とのリンクを提供するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- 前記広告を表示するステップは、前記ビデオゲームのプレイが完了した後に前記広告を表示するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- ビデオゲームの途中でホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素を提供して、該ゲームの途中でのユーザの行動に基づいて前記イメージ要素に対応する製品を購入する機会を提供するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- アクションキャラクタと背景マテリアルを含むビデオゲームを提供して、ホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素を、これらのイメージ要素がマウスクリックされたときに広告が自動的に表示されるように、前記背景マテリアルに組み込むステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- 前記広告を表示するステップは、選択されたイメージ要素の表現と、該イメージ要素に関係するアイテムを購入することについての情報とを含むグラフィカル・ユーザインターフェースを表示するステップを含み、前記グラフィカル・ユーザインターフェースは、ユーザが前記アイテムを購入することを可能にするためのアイコンと、ユーザがゲームプレイに戻ることを可能にするためのアイコンとを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告方法。
- ビデオゲームのイメージ要素のユーザ選択を認識し、
前記イメージ要素の前記ユーザ選択に応じて広告を表示すること、
をプロセッサベースのシステムが実行するのを可能にする命令を記憶した記録媒体を備えることを特徴とする製品。 - 前記ユーザ選択に応じてビデオゲームを自動的に休止することを前記プロセッサベースのシステムが実行することを可能にする命令を更に記憶した、請求項12に記載の製品。
- 前記ビデオゲームのイメージの1つとしてホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素を提供することを前記プロセッサベースのシステムが実行することを可能にする命令を更に記憶していることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の製品。
- カーソルが前記ホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素上にあるときにユーザのマウスクリック選択を認識することを前記プロセッサベースのシステムが実行することを可能にする命令を更に記憶していることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の製品。
- プロセッサと、
前記プロセッサに結合した記憶媒体であって、ビデオゲームを実施し、該ビデオゲームのイメージ要素のユーザ選択を認識し、該イメージ要素のユーザ選択に応じて広告を表示することを前記プロセッサが実行することを可能にする命令を記憶した記憶媒体と、
を備えることを特徴とするビデオゲームを利用した広告システム。 - 前記記憶媒体は、前記ユーザ選択に応じて前記ビデオゲームを自動的に休止することを前記プロセッサが実行することを可能にする命令を更に記憶していることを特徴とする請求項16に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告システム。
- 前記記憶媒体は、前記ビデオゲームのイメージ要素の1つとしてホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素を操作することを前記プロセッサが実行することを可能にする命令を更に記憶していることを特徴とすることを特徴とする請求項16に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告システム。
- 前記記憶媒体は、カーソルが前記ホット・クリッカブルなイメージ要素上にあるときにユーザのマウスクリック選択を認識することを前記プロセッサが実行することを可能にする命令を更に記憶していることを特徴とする請求項18に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告システム。
- 前記記憶媒体は、選択されたイメージ要素が該イメージ要素に関連する広告を含むときだけにゲームプレイを休止することを前記プロセッサが実行することを可能にする命令を更に記憶していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載のビデオゲームを利用した広告システム。
