Abstract
Description
順行性及び逆行性という記述的な用語は、この明細書で患者の脈管構造(血管系)に関して使用されるときには、それぞれ、血液が流れる方向と、血液が流れる方向とは逆の方向とを意味する。動脈系においては、順行性とは下流方向(即ち、生理学的な血流と同じ方向)を指示するのに対し、逆行性とは上流方向(即ち、生理学的な血流とは反対の方向)を指示する。近位及び遠位という用語は、この明細書で処置に使用される器具に関して使用されるときには、それぞれ、より心臓に近い方向と、心臓から遠ざかる方向とを指示する。置換という用語は、通常は、罹患した弁の除去と新しい弁の移植とを意味する。しかしながら、新しい弁は罹患した弁の先端部の上に、直接、移植されることもできる。移植処置は、罹患した弁の除去を除けば、置換処置と同様であろう。

- 患者の大動脈の内部に挿入されるように構成された、環状に拡張可能な構成要素と、大動脈解離によって生じた空所を閉鎖するための手段とを有する、大動脈解離治療装置。
- 請求項14に記載の装置において、前記空所を閉鎖する手段は、組織シーラントを注入するための複数のニードルを有する、前記装置。
- 請求項14又は15に記載の装置において、前記組織シーラントは生物学的に親和性を有する接着剤と、機械的な縫合と、外科的な留め金のうちのいずれか一つ又は二つ以上である、前記装置。
- 請求項15又は16に記載の装置において、前記環状に拡張可能な構成要素は、治療中に前記構成要素を介して血流を補うための手段を有する、前記装置。
- 罹患した心臓弁を切除するための装置であって、前記装置は、第1の長手方向軸と近位切断歯とを有する、環状に拡張可能な第1の構成要素の組と、第2の長手方向軸と遠位切断歯とを有する、環状に拡張可能な第2の構成要素の組とを有し、前記装置は、前記第1の構成要素の組が前記罹患した心臓弁の遠位側面で拡張され、前記第2の構成要素の組が前記罹患した心臓弁の近位側面で拡張され、そして、前記第1及び第2の構成要素が前記第1及び第2の長手方向軸に沿って軸方向に同時に引っ張られると、前記病気の心臓弁を切除するように構成された、前記装置。
- 請求項18に記載の装置において、前記第1の長手方向軸と前記第2の長手方向軸は同軸に配置されている、前記装置。
