Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cleaning member used for removing toner, external additives, paper dust, and the like, and particularly suitable for a cleaning roll for removing toner adhering to a charging roll used in a copying machine, a printer, a facsimile machine, and the like. It relates to members.
A cleaning blade or a cleaning roll is used in an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a printer, or a composite OA device having these functions. The cleaning roll removes the toner, external additives, paper dust, and other foreign matters adhered to the photosensitive member or the charging roll, but the cleaning roll cannot sufficiently remove the foreign matters such as toner. In such a case, the photoconductor, the charging roll, etc. are damaged, and the printed image is also defective. For this reason, the cleaning roll is required to maintain the cleaning property for a long period of time.
Therefore, a charging device having a cleaning member made of a sponge material (see Patent Document 1), a toner supply roller comprising a cylindrical elastic body and a fiber layer intertwined with heat-fusible fibers (see Patent Document 2), etc. Proposed.
However, in Patent Document 1, a foam is formed, a hole is formed in the foam, and the core is passed through. In Patent Document 2, after a heat-fusible fiber is covered on a once-rolled roll, it is heated again using a mold. There are problems such as many manufacturing processes and high costs. In addition, there is a problem that it is difficult to use the removed foreign matter for a long time because it is difficult to hold the removed foreign matter.
In view of such circumstances, it is an object of the present invention to provide a cleaning member that maintains good cleaning properties at low cost over a long period of time.
A first aspect of the present invention that solves the above problems includes a lower layer formed by winding a double-sided tape having adhesive layers on both surfaces of a sponge member on the surface of a core, and an upper layer provided on the outer surface of the lower layer And the upper layer is formed of at least one fiber layer made of woven fabric or knitted fabric.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the cleaning member according to the first aspect, the thickness of the double-sided tape is 0.4 to 3.0 mm.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the cleaning member according to the first or second aspect, the sponge member is made of polyolefin or acrylic rubber.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the cleaning member according to any one of the first to third aspects, the upper layer is formed by laminating a plurality of the same or different kinds of fiber layers. Located on the cleaning member.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the cleaning member according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, the cleaning member has a roll shape.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a cleaning member that maintains good cleaning properties at a low cost over a long period of time.
The cleaning member of the present invention comprises a lower layer formed by winding a double-sided tape having adhesive layers on both surfaces of a sponge member on the surface of the core, and an upper layer provided on the outer surface of the lower layer. Thus, the member which contacts suitably over a long period of time by comprising the lower layer formed by winding the double-sided tape which provided the adhesive layer on both surfaces of the sponge member on the surface of the core, and the predetermined upper layer Toner, external additives, paper dust, and other foreign matters can be removed.
Below, the cleaning roll which is an example of the cleaning member of this invention is illustrated, and the detail of this invention is demonstrated.
FIG. 1 shows a cleaning roll as an example of the cleaning member of the present invention. FIG. 1A is a cross-sectional view of the cleaning member, and FIG. 1B is an enlarged schematic view of a part of the surface (fiber layer) of the cleaning member.
As shown in FIG. 1A, the
A method of manufacturing the
Needless to say, a knitted fabric or the like that becomes the
Here, the
The double-sided tape forming the
The sponge member preferably has a hardness of 80 ° or less in Asker C and a compression set of 30% or less at room temperature. This is because the nip amount can be secured and the deformation is easily returned to the original state, that is, the
The sponge member is preferably made of polyolefin or acrylic rubber. This is because the elasticity necessary for cleaning can be obtained.
In addition, although the width | variety of a double-sided tape is not specifically limited, It is preferable that it is about 5-20 mm. This is because it becomes easy to wind around the core.
In the present embodiment, the
The
In the knitted fabric described above, the width of the course (μm) and the width of the wale (μm) are preferably 3 to 10 times, and particularly preferably 3 to 7 times the apparent thickness (μm) of the
As shown in FIG. 3A, the course is a row (horizontal row) arranged next to the
The method of knitting the knitted fabric is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include flat knitting, rubber knitting, tack knitting, floating knitting, single-sided knitting, double-sided knitting, lace knitting, and splicing knitting.
In the cleaning roll of the present embodiment, the toner and the like of the mating member are scraped off and cleaned as the
In this embodiment, a knitted fabric is used as the
In the woven fabric, the distance between the warp yarns (μm) is 3 to 10 times the apparent thickness of the warp yarns (μm), and the interval between the weft yarns (μm) is 3 to 10 times the apparent thickness of the weft yarns (μm). Is preferably doubled, and more preferably 3 to 7 times. As shown in FIG. 3B, the interval between the
The apparent thickness of the warp and weft of the fabric is not particularly limited. In the woven fabric, the warp and the weft may be different in material and apparent thickness.
The yarn (knitted fabric), warp yarn and weft yarn (woven fabric) constituting the
In the knitted fabric or the woven fabric, other yarns other than the yarns satisfying the above-described conditions, or warp yarns and weft yarns may be present as long as the cleaning properties are not impaired. There may be existing yarns, and there may be raised yarns.
The material of the yarn (knitted fabric), warp yarn and weft yarn (woven fabric) is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include cotton, hemp, wool, silk, polyester, nylon, acrylic, etc. Polyester from the viewpoint of durability and cost. Nylon and acrylic are preferred.
The
The
Moreover, the
The upper layer formed from the pile structure preferably has a thickness of 0.5 to 3.0 mm. When the thickness is less than 0.5, a sufficient nip amount cannot be obtained. When the thickness is more than 3.0 mm, a cleaning effect can be obtained. It is not suitable for miniaturization of equipment.
The monofilament having a pile structure preferably has a thickness of 5 to 500 dtex. This is because sufficient strength for cleaning can be obtained. If the single fiber is less than 5 decitex, the mechanical strength may be lowered, and if the single fiber is larger than 500 decitex, the flexibility of the
Moreover, it is preferable that the density of the yarn of a pile structure is 6400-46000 pieces / cm < 2 >. When the yarn density falls within this range, foreign matter is sufficiently retained in the
The material of the single fiber of a pile structure is not specifically limited, For example, polyamide, polyester, an acryl, polyolefin etc. are mentioned.
As described above, by using the cleaning
Further, when the cleaning
The cleaning member of the present invention is suitable as a cleaning roll. In particular, it is suitable as a charging roll used in copying machines, printers, facsimiles, etc., and a cleaning roll that removes toner adhering to the photoreceptor.
