Abstract
【解決手段】この液晶表示装置は、基板117と、基板117の一面にマトリクス状に形成されて複数のセル領域を区画するブラックマトリクス115と、セル領域に形成される第1厚さの赤色カラーフィルターR、第1厚さより厚い第2厚さの緑色カラーフィルターG及び第2厚さより厚い第3厚さの青色カラーフィルターBを含むカラーフィルター層113と、カラーフィルターR、G、B及びブラックマトリクス115上に重合性液晶をコーティングして硬化させることによって、基板117を平坦化させる第1補償層111とを含む。

Claims (10)
- 基板と、
前記基板の一面にマトリクス状に形成されて複数のセル領域を区画するブラックマトリクスと、
前記セル領域に形成される第1厚さの赤色カラーフィルター、前記第1厚さより厚い第2厚さの緑色カラーフィルター及び第2厚さより厚い第3厚さの青色カラーフィルターを含むカラーフィルター層と、
前記カラーフィルター及びブラックマトリクス上に重合性液晶をコーティングして硬化させることによって、前記基板を平坦化させる第1補償層と
を含む液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1補償層は、ポジティブC−プレートを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記赤色カラーフィルター及び前記緑色カラーフィルターの間の段差は、0.1μm以上、0.3μm以下であり、前記緑色カラーフィルター及び前記青色カラーフィルターの間の段差は、0.2μm以上、0.4μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記赤色カラーフィルターに対応する前記第1補償層の厚さは、前記緑色カラーフィルターに対応する前記第1補償層の厚さの1.1倍以上、1.3倍以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記青色カラーフィルターに対応する前記第1補償層の厚さは、前記緑色カラーフィルターに対応する前記第1補償層の厚さの0.7倍以上、0.9倍以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記赤色カラーフィルターに対応する前記第1補償層の厚さは、1.60μm以上、1.70μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記緑色カラーフィルターに対応する前記第1補償層の厚さは、1.35μm以上、1.45μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記青色カラーフィルターに対応する前記第1補償層の厚さは、1.10μm以上、1.20μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記基板の他面にはA−プレートあるいは二軸延伸フィルムのうち、いずれか1つからなる第2補償層を備えることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2補償層上に上部偏光板を備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。
