Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a developing roller, a developing device, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus.
Recent copiers and printers have a very high demand for high image quality. In recent years, the improvement of the network environment such as the Internet and the spread of personal computers and digital cameras are remarkable, so the opportunity to compare images obtained from them with images output from digital multifunction peripherals and printers has increased greatly. There is a background of being.
In response to these requirements, Patent Document 1,
If the development gap is changed from 0.5 to 0.2 to 0.4, the developer pumping amount is reduced from 70 mg to 50 mg, and the developer accumulates or overflows in the development nip, or the photosensitive member or the developing roller When the pumping amount is small, the fluctuation, the pumping amount deviation at the center and both ends of the developing roller, and the development gap deviation at the developing roller center and both ends increase with respect to the set value. Therefore, it is very sensitive to the image density.
Development gap fluctuations have existed in the past, but because of the narrow gap development, a small deviation, which was not a problem in the past, becomes very sensitive to image density, which is a problem for high image quality. Yes. In addition, in a color image forming apparatus that superimposes a plurality of colors, if the image density deviation of a single color of each color is different at both ends or the center of the image, the original color cannot be expressed when outputting the image, etc. On the other hand, it becomes a big behind.
The conventional "development gap deviation between the center and both ends of the developing roller" has been confirmed by the mechanism analysis.
When the developer is pushed between the developing roller and the photoconductor, the developing sleeve is pushed away from the photoconductor as a whole. Since both ends of the developing sleeve are supported, the developing gap hardly changes at both ends, but the developing roller central portion does not support the developing sleeve, and the distance between the sleeve surface and the magnet roller (slight clearance) ), The developing sleeve is very small, but it moves away from the photoreceptor. For this reason, the developing gap has a difference between the central portion and both ends of the roller, resulting in a developing capability deviation.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide a developing roller, a developing device, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus that prevent a developing ability deviation due to a developing gap deviation.

Note that it is easy for a person skilled in the art to make other embodiments by changing or correcting the present invention within the scope of the claims, and these changes and modifications are included in the scope of the claims. The following description is an example of the best mode of the present invention, and does not limit the scope of the claims.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing an electrophotographic full-color printer as an image forming apparatus according to the present embodiment. An
FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an image forming unit of the present invention. Although the toner colors to be handled are different, the

Next, the image forming unit will be described with reference to FIG. The
3 and 4 are diagrams showing a mechanism related to the development gap deviation. In FIG. 3, the developing
The
As a specific example, the realized

Normally, the
