Abstract
Description
The present invention receives a first video signal or a second video signal and outputs the first video signal or the first video signal obtained by converting the second video signal to a display unit. The present invention relates to a processing apparatus.
Various devices such as a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) player, a TV tuner, or a personal computer are connected to a display device such as a liquid crystal display or a plasma display, and various types of video signals are input. The display device has a built-in video signal processing device that determines the type of video signal and performs various processes to obtain an optimal video.
例えば、走査方式には、飛び越し(インターレース)方式と順次(プログレッシブ)方式があり、また、走査線数には、米国や我国の採用するNTSC(National Television System Committee)方式の525本の他に、ヨーロッパのPAL(Phase Alternating (by) Line)方式やSECAM(SEquential Couleur A Memoire)方式の625本があり、またHDTV(High Definition TeleVision)の映像信号の走査線数は、1125本である。 There are various types of video signals. For example, the scanning method includes an interlace method and a progressive method, and the number of scanning lines is 525 in the NTSC (National Television System Committee) method adopted by the United States and Japan. There are 625 European PAL (Phase Alternating (by) Line) and SECAM (SEquential Couleur A Memoire) methods, and the number of scanning lines of HDTV (High Definition TeleVision) video signals is 1125. Since various broadcasting formats are adopted in this way, the video signal processing apparatus discriminates a plurality of video signals, performs processing according to the signals, and displays them (for example, see Patent Document 1).
However, when the correction circuit described in
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to accept the setting of the input of the second video signal to the correction circuit and the non-input of the second video signal to the conversion circuit. When a signal is received, a switching circuit that switches the output destination of the input second video signal from the conversion circuit to the correction circuit is provided, so that progressive conversion is invalidated according to the user's preference and correction of the displayed color is free. It is an object of the present invention to provide a video signal processing apparatus that can be performed in the same manner.

The conversion circuit is configured to output the second video signal output from the switching circuit to the display unit without passing through the correction circuit.
The video signal processing apparatus according to the present invention is characterized in that the first video signal is an RGB signal and the second video signal is a YUV signal.
In the present invention, the video signal processing device receives the input of the first video signal or the second video signal, and receives the first video signal or the first video signal converted from the second video signal. Output to the display. The video signal processing apparatus includes a correction circuit that corrects the color component of the first video signal output to the display unit, and a conversion circuit that converts the second video signal according to the interlace method to the progressive method. The video signal processing apparatus accepts input of the second video signal to the correction circuit and non-input setting of the second video signal to the conversion circuit. The first video signal is, for example, an RGB signal, and the second video signal is a YUV signal. When this setting is accepted, the switching circuit switches the output destination of the input second video signal from the conversion circuit to the correction circuit. Output to the correction circuit.
In the present invention, since the signal conversion circuit converts the second video signal output from the switching circuit into the first video signal and inputs the first video signal to the correction circuit, the converted first video signal Is input to the correction circuit, and color correction of each color becomes possible.
In the present invention, since the correction circuit outputs the first video signal output from the correction circuit to the display unit without passing through the conversion circuit, the progressive conversion is invalidated.
In the present invention, when the switching circuit does not accept the user setting, the switching circuit outputs the input second video signal to the conversion circuit. Since the conversion circuit outputs the second video signal output from the switching circuit to the display unit without passing through the correction circuit, the correction by the correction circuit is invalidated and the progressively converted video signal is output. .
In the present invention, the video signal processing apparatus accepts the setting of the input of the second video signal to the correction circuit and the non-input of the second video signal to the conversion circuit. When this setting is accepted, the switching circuit switches the output destination of the input second video signal from the conversion circuit to the correction circuit, so that the second video signal is converted by the conversion circuit according to the user's preference. Output to the correction circuit. As a result, the user can execute the color correction by disabling progressive conversion according to his / her preference.
Since the conversion circuit outputs the second video signal output from the switching circuit to the display unit without passing through the correction circuit, the correction by the correction circuit is invalidated and the progressively converted video signal is output. . As described above, the present invention has an excellent effect such that it is possible to easily enjoy an image with little flicker by performing progressive conversion on the contrary without performing correction by user selection.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a hardware configuration of a video signal processing apparatus according to the present invention. In the figure,

In addition, an SDTV-480i or 576i having a data format of YUV 4: 2: 2 (16 bits) and an NTSC signal or PAL signal having a YUV 4: 2: 2 are input as the second signal. The video
The mode

When “color” is selected from the
FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram showing an image of the setting screen. The video
In the screen of FIG. 3, when “ON” is selected for progressive conversion in the
In FIG. 1, the YUV signal output from the switching
The switching
A signal processing procedure in the above hardware configuration will be described with reference to a flowchart. FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the procedure of the mode setting process for the switching
When the
FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing a switching procedure of the switching
When it is determined that the switching
