Description
The present invention relates to an electrode plate in which a plurality of electrodes are arranged at a predetermined interval on one surface of an insulating substrate, and a method for manufacturing the same. The present invention also relates to an electrostatic motor provided with such an electrode plate.
2. Description of the Related Art An electrostatic motor is known that includes an electrode plate formed by arranging a plurality of electrodes on a surface of an insulating substrate at a predetermined interval as at least one of a stator and a mover. In this type of electrostatic motor, the electrode plate can be manufactured using a photolithography technique frequently used in a printed circuit board manufacturing process (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In other words, by forming a photosensitive resist layer on the copper foil of a copper-clad substrate (insulating substrate with a copper foil bonded to the surface), and exposing the plate film on which the electrode pattern of the electrode plate is drawn on the resist layer Patterning is performed, and unnecessary portions of the copper foil are removed by etching according to the exposure pattern to form an electrode group aligned in a predetermined pattern. Thereafter, an electrical insulating layer is formed so as to cover the exposed surface of the insulating substrate and the entire electrode group, whereby an electrode plate is produced while ensuring electrical insulation between the electrodes.
It is also known to manufacture an electrode plate of an electrostatic motor by using a printing technique (see, for example, Patent Document 2). In this case, a plate (for example, a screen plate) having an image line portion for defining an electrode pattern is prepared, and a conductive paste is printed on one surface of the insulating substrate along the image line portion of the plate and dried. A plurality of electrodes can be formed in a predetermined pattern.
In the manufacturing method of the electrode plate in the conventional electrostatic motor described above, in the manufacturing method using the photolithography technique, both side edges of the copper foil left as an electrode under the patterned resist layer in the etching process are in a vertical section. There is a case where it is bent into a concave shape when viewed (generally referred to as side etching). In this case, on both side edges of the electrode, acute portions as viewed in the longitudinal section are formed on both the bottom adjacent to the substrate surface and the top away from the substrate surface. When such acute angle portions are formed on both side edges of the electrode, when a motor drive voltage is applied to the electrode plate, an electric field that reaches several times the nominal electric field assumed from the electrode spacing at the acute angle portion. Concentration occurs, and there is a risk that dielectric breakdown is likely to occur in the vicinity of the acute angle portion due to the minute discharge generated thereby. If the drive voltage applied to the electrode plate is lowered in order to avoid such a local breakdown, the output of the electrostatic motor is reduced at a ratio of the square of the voltage, so that the efficiency is remarkably deteriorated.
On the other hand, in a manufacturing method using a printing technique in a conventional electrode plate manufacturing method, the conductive paste may protrude from the printed pattern and spread on the substrate surface due to a rapid decrease in the viscosity in the drying process of the conductive paste. . In this case, thin portions extending along the substrate surface are formed on both side edges of the electrode. Such thin-walled portions formed on both side edges of the electrode tend to cause electric field concentration when a motor driving voltage is applied to the electrode plate, similar to the acute-angled portion resulting from the side etching described above. There is a risk that dielectric breakdown is likely to occur in the vicinity of both side edges of the electrode.
An object of the present invention is an electrode plate manufacturing method in which a plurality of electrodes are arranged at a predetermined interval on one surface of an insulating substrate. A surface treatment region that increases the affinity between the surface of the electrode and the electrode is provided in a pattern substantially the same as the pattern of the plurality of electrodes, and a plurality of electrodes are provided along the surface treatment region. Provide a motor.
According to a seventeenth aspect of the present invention, there is provided a stator having a plurality of electrodes arranged on a surface of an insulating substrate at a predetermined interval, and a plurality of electrodes arranged on a surface of the insulating substrate at a predetermined interval. In the electrostatic motor installed so that the stator and the mover can move relative to each other so that the respective electrodes face each other, at least one of the stator and the mover includes: The surface of the insulating substrate is provided with a surface treatment region that increases the affinity between the surface of the insulating substrate and the electrode in a pattern that is substantially the same as the pattern of the plurality of electrodes, and the plurality of electrodes are provided along the surface treatment region. An electrostatic motor is provided.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, unlike the conventional manufacturing method using the photolithography technique, the etching process is not included. Therefore, the individual electrodes formed in a predetermined pattern on the surface of the insulating substrate are provided on the side edges. , It does not have an acute angle portion due to side etching. Further, a modified region showing lyophilicity with respect to the conductive paste is formed on the surface of the insulating substrate showing lyophobic property with respect to the conductive paste, in a pattern defined by the pattern forming element of the patterning member. A conductive paste is applied to the modified region. With this configuration, the conductive paste is reliably prevented from protruding from the modified region due to the lyophobic property exhibited by the original substrate surface, and is accurately applied onto the modified region. Moreover, the conductive paste is held in close contact with the entire modified region due to the lyophilicity exhibited by the modified region. If the conductive paste is dried and cured in this state, even if the viscosity of the conductive paste decreases, it is reliably prevented from protruding from the modified region of the predetermined pattern and spreading to the substrate surface. As a result, each electrode formed in a predetermined pattern on the substrate surface does not have a thin portion that extends along the substrate surface at the side edge. In this way, it is possible to effectively prevent the formation of an acute angle portion or a thin wall portion that is likely to cause electric field concentration at the side edge of the electrode patterned on the substrate surface. An electrode plate can be manufactured.
According to the invention described in each of claims 2 to 11, the electrode plate manufacturing method having the above-described basic configuration can be reliably performed by various procedures that are easy to implement.
According to the invention described in

Further, in the above method, the
In order to further clarify the effects of the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the present invention, the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the first embodiment of the present invention having the above basic flow will be described with reference to FIG. In the illustrated embodiment, first, a plate or film made of an insulating material such as polyimide resin, epoxy resin, or polyester resin is prepared as the insulating
Subsequently, in accordance with Step P2 of FIG. 1, a
Subsequently, the
In parallel with the above operation, a
図2に示すように、導電性ペースト付与ステップP4(図1)で使用される印刷版16B(第2のパターニング部材16)は、表面処理ステップP3(図1)で使用される印刷版16A(第1のパターニング部材16)の画線部14A(パターン形成要素14)よりも、僅かに太い画線で導電性ペースト12のポジパターンを画定する画線部14B(パターン形成要素14)を有する。
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Here, since the
Subsequently, the
Next, as the secondary drying step Q2, a higher temperature is applied to evaporate the solvent remaining in the
An electrode plate is manufactured by depositing an insulating layer (not shown) on the
The
In the electrode plate manufacturing method shown in FIG. 3, screen printing plates are used as the
In the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the present invention, the surface treatment step P3 (FIG. 1) can employ not only the printing method described above but also various other methods. Hereinafter, with reference to FIGS. 6-10, the electrode plate manufacturing method by other embodiment of this invention which employ | adopted such various surface treatment methods is shown. The second to sixth embodiments shown in FIGS. 6 to 10 are the first embodiment shown in FIG. 2 except for the surface treatment method for forming the modified region 20 (FIG. 1) on the
In the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the second embodiment, as shown in FIG. 6, a mask 16C having an opening 14C constituting the
Subsequently, as in the first embodiment, the
上記した第2実施形態においても、表面処理ステップP3(図1)で使用されるマスク16C(第1のパターニング部材16)は、導電性ペースト付与ステップP4(図1)で使用される印刷版16B(第2のパターニング部材16)の画線部14B(パターン形成要素14)よりも、僅かに細い画線で表面処理のポジパターンを画定する開口部14C(パターン形成要素14)を有する。
Also in the second embodiment described above, the mask 16C (first patterning member 16) used in the surface treatment step P3 (FIG. 1) is the
In the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the third embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, according to Step P2 of FIG. 1, the patterning
In the same manner as in the first embodiment, the printing step (FIG. 7 (c)) and the drying / curing step (FIG. 7 (c)) of the
In the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the fourth embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8, a
For example, when irradiated with ultraviolet rays, organic substances such as fats and oils adhering to the
For the activated
In the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the fifth embodiment, as shown in FIG. 9, a
Subsequently, after a resist 48 drying step (FIG. 9B), the
Subsequently, after passing through the step of removing the resist 48 (FIG. 9E), the
In the electrode plate manufacturing method according to the sixth embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10, as in the fifth embodiment, a
For example, the insulating
Subsequently, after passing through the step of removing the resist 48 (FIG. 10E), the
