Description

The present invention relates to a decorative body that utilizes a decorative effect by light, and a storage box that uses the decorative body as a lid.

Car interiors are decorated with light for the purpose of improving comfort and producing a high-class feel. Conventional decoration methods are roughly classified into a method of irradiating light on the decoration region (that is, illumination by light) and a method of causing the decoration region itself to emit light. As an example of the former, Patent Document 1 discloses a configuration in which the vicinity of an armrest is illuminated with light from a lamp. As an example of the latter, Patent Document 2 discloses a scuff plate that emits and displays a desired shape.

特許第3246221号公報Japanese Patent No. 3246221 特開2001−163117号公報JP 2001-163117 A

In the above decoration method, the design of the decoration region changes according to the light emission state of the light source, and the decoration effect by light is exhibited only when the light source is on (light emission). That is, only one type of decoration effect can be obtained, and it is monotonous and has a poor production effect. Then, this invention makes it a subject to provide the decoration body with a high production | presentation effect by simple structure by exhibiting two different types of decoration effects.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention has the following configuration. That is,
A light source;
A light guide that is arranged so that part of the surface faces the light source, and the upper surface is a light emitting surface;
A light control layer disposed on the light emitting surface of the light guide, the transparency of which is controlled by an applied voltage, and a light transmissive cover disposed on the light control layer;
Is a decorative body.

In the decorative body of the present invention, the light of the light source is finally emitted from the surface of the light-transmitting cover, so that the decorative body emits light, thereby exhibiting a decorative effect (decoration). If the voltage applied to the light control layer is changed by arranging the light control layer on the light emitting surface, the light emission state of the decorative body can be changed. That is, a plurality of different decoration states can be created, and unexpectedness is also produced. Thus, the decorative body of the present invention exhibits a high effect by using the light control layer.

The decorative body of the present invention includes a light source, a light guide, a light control layer, and a light transmissive cover. Each of these elements will be described in detail below.

(light source)
The light source is not particularly limited, and an LED lamp, a bulb, or the like can be used. Among them, it is preferable to use an LED lamp. This is because the LED lamp is small, so that the decorative body can be miniaturized. In addition, there is an advantage that the calorific value is small and the influence of heat on the surrounding members can be reduced. Furthermore, there are advantages such as low driving power and long life. The type of the LED lamp is not particularly limited, and various types of LED lamps such as a shell type and a chip type can be adopted.
The color of the light source can be arbitrarily selected. It is also possible to change the emission color by using a plurality of light sources and controlling them.

(Light guide)
The light guide is arranged such that a part of its surface faces the light source. The light taken into the light guide is guided through the light guide and then emitted from the upper surface (light emitting surface) of the light guide. It is preferable that a part of the back surface (surface opposite to the light emitting surface) of the light guide is subjected to a decoration process such as roughening, formation of recesses or grooves, formation of a colored layer or a metal layer. In the region subjected to such a decoration treatment, light reflection, concentration, scattering, and / or coloring occurs depending on the type of treatment, and as a result, the light emitted from the light emitting surface of the light guide is unique. The aspect of this is exhibited. As a result, for example, a decoration effect of displaying a desired figure, character, or the like with light is produced. In addition, these decorating processes are used individually or in combination of 2 or more.
Instead of or in addition to performing the decoration process as described above on the back surface of the light guide, a decoration sheet may be disposed on the back surface side of the light guide. For example, a metal plate having a punched portion having a desired figure or character shape can be used as the decorative sheet. If such a decorative sheet is placed in close contact with the back surface of the light guide, a desired figure or character is punched and observed in the light with a metallic color due to the reflective action of the decorative sheet surface. It becomes the light emission mode.
The material of the light guide is not particularly limited. For example, the light guide can be formed of a synthetic resin such as polycarbonate, acrylic resin, epoxy resin, or urethane resin, or an inorganic material such as glass. You may comprise a light guide with the colored light-transmitting material (namely, colored transparent resin etc.).

(Light control layer)
In the present invention, a light control layer whose transparency (transmittance) is controlled by an applied voltage is used. As such a light control layer, so-called electrochromic glass or a liquid crystal type light control sheet (or light control glass) can be used. Among these, it is preferable to employ a liquid crystal light control sheet (or light control glass) in terms of responsiveness. By adopting a liquid crystal light control sheet (or light control glass), an instantaneous design change can be realized. A liquid crystal type light control sheet has a structure in which a liquid crystal layer is sandwiched between a pair of transparent electrode films (the light control glass has a structure in which a glass is arranged outside each transparent electrode film) and is in a non-transparent state when not energized ( Light shielding state), and when energized, it enters a see-through state (light transmitting state). In this invention, the light control sheet | seat in which the parallel light transmittance of an opaque state exists in the range of about 1 to about 15%, and the parallel light transmittance of a transparent state exists in the range of about 60 to about 80% is used suitably. be able to. Umm film (registered trademark, manufactured by Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd.) can be used as such a light control sheet. In addition, the light control sheet (or light control glass) can also adjust a transparency by voltage control. Utilizing such properties of the light control sheet, the decorative body of the present invention is configured such that the design changes not only between the time of no energization and the time of energization, but also the design changes according to the applied voltage. You can also.

The light control layer is disposed on the light emitting surface of the light guide. The entire light emitting surface of the light guide is covered with the light control layer, or the light emitting surface of the light guide is partially covered with the light control layer. In the former configuration, all of the light emitted from the light emitting surface of the light guide is subjected to a dimming action by the dimming layer. On the other hand, in the latter configuration, a part of the light emitted from the light emitting surface of the light guide is not affected by the light control layer, and passes through the light-transmitting cover disposed on the light control layer and is externally radiated. Will do. Therefore, in the said structure, two types of light of the light adjusted by the light control layer and the light which is not light-controlled is observed. As a result, it is possible to construct a design with even better decorativeness. For example, if the light control layer is formed so as to cover the region excluding the peripheral portion of the light emitting surface of the light guide, designs having different light emission modes are created only at the peripheral portion. Similarly, if the covering region (or non-covering region) of the light control layer is formed into a shape such as a figure or a character on the light emitting surface of the light guide, a light emitting mode in which a desired figure or character is displayed and emitted can be created. Is possible.

(Light transmissive cover)
The light transmissive cover is disposed on the light control layer. The electrochromic light control sheet is protected by the light transmissive cover. The material of the light transmissive cover is not particularly limited as long as good light transmittance is exhibited. For example, the light-transmitting cover can be formed of a synthetic resin such as polycarbonate, acrylic resin, epoxy resin, or urethane resin, or an inorganic material such as glass. The light transmissive cover may be made of a colored light transmissive material (that is, a colored transparent resin or the like).

(Containment box using decorative body)
An example of a preferable application object of the decorative body of the present invention is a storage box (for example, a console box or a glove box installed in a vehicle interior). When the decorative body of the present invention is applied to a storage box, for example, the lid portion of the storage box is configured with the decorative body of the present invention. In such a decorative body, by switching the energized state to the light control layer, it is possible to reversibly change from a state in which the inside of the storage unit cannot be seen through the lid (non-energized state) to a state in which it is visible (during energization). As a result, effects such as production of unexpectedness, improvement of convenience, and provision of a high-class feeling are exhibited. In addition, a security effect can also be obtained if the present invention is applied to a storage box such as a storage box (for example, a console box) in a passenger compartment where it is not preferable to observe the interior of the vehicle except during operation. Specifically, for example, if the decorative body of the present invention is applied to the lid portion of the console box and the dimming layer is energized in conjunction with the ignition being turned on, the console box is passed through the lid portion only during operation. The inside can be observed.
Here, when the light guide and the light control layer constituting the decorative body are arranged on the movable part of the lid, and the light source is arranged on the main body side of the storage box, the lid moves from the closed state to the open state. The light emission side of the light source can be opened, and the light of the light source can illuminate the inside of the storage box. According to such a configuration, when the lid of the storage box is opened, the interior of the storage box is illuminated, so that convenience is improved and an effect effect by light is exhibited.

An embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. This embodiment is an automobile center console box in which the decorative body of the present invention is applied to a lid. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a center console box 1 according to the embodiment, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA in FIG. 1, and FIG.

The center console box 1 includes an accommodating portion 20 whose upper side is a take-out port. As shown in FIG. 2, the lid portion 10 that covers the outlet of the housing portion 20 has a structure in which a light guide plate 11, a light control sheet 12, and a design lens (light transmissive cover) 13 are sequentially stacked. The structure is held by the frame 14 in the vertical direction at the outer edge. Reference numeral 21 denotes a switch for opening and closing the lid 10.
The light guide plate 11 is made of a colorless and transparent acrylic resin, and a concave portion (decoration processing portion) 11a having a specific shape is formed on the back surface side in a plan view. In addition, the peripheral surface of the back surface of the light guide plate 11 is roughened. On the other hand, the LED lamps 30 are arranged along the left and right end surfaces 11 b of the light guide plate 11. In this example, a total of four LED lamps 30 are used, and light from two LED lamps 30 is introduced from one end face 11b. The LED lamp 30 emits white light. Not only a white light emitting LED lamp but also various light emitting LED lamps can be adopted. You may use combining the LED lamp of a different luminescent color. According to such a configuration, it is also possible to perform effects by color mixing such as a gradation effect.
The LED lamp 30 is connected to a power source on the vehicle side via a control circuit, and is subjected to lighting control that is linked to the operation state of the ignition (details will be described later).

The upper surface side of the light guide 11 is in a state of being covered with the light control sheet 12 except for its peripheral edge. The light control sheet 12 has a structure in which a nematic liquid crystal layer is sandwiched between a pair of transparent conductive films, and is in a see-through state (parallel light transmittance is about 70%) when energized, and in a non-permeable state (parallel light transmittance is not energized). About 5%). Switching between the energized state and the non-energized state is linked to the operation state of the ignition (details will be described later).

The design lens 13 is made of a colorless and transparent polycarbonate resin. The upper surface side of the design lens 13 has a gentle convex curved surface shape. The upper surface (design surface) of the surface design lens may be subjected to a strengthening process, a weather resistance process, or the like.

The light emission mode of the lid 10 having the above configuration is as follows. First, the light control sheet 12 in the lid portion 10 is not energized when the ignition switch is off (before operation). Therefore, the light control sheet 12 is in a non-transparent state, and the lid 10 is observed in milky white except for the frame body 14 portion. As a result, the inside of the accommodating portion 20 cannot be seen from the outside through the lid portion 10, and a security effect is obtained. As with the light control sheet 12, no voltage is applied to the LED lamp 30, and the LED lamp is off.
When the ignition switch is turned on by inserting a key, the LED lamp 30 is turned on in conjunction with this, and the light control sheet 12 is also energized several seconds later. When the LED lamp 30 is turned on (the light control sheet 12 is in a non-energized state), the light from the LED lamp 30 is introduced into the light guide plate 11. A part of the introduced light is emitted upward through the upper surface peripheral portion (region not covered with the light control sheet 12) of the light guide 11 by roughening the peripheral portion of the rear surface of the light guide. The light thus extracted is finally emitted outside through the design lens 13. As a result, the lid 10 emits light in a line along the inner side of the frame body 14 (FIG. 3A). The shaded area 15 in FIG. 3A is a light emitting area. When energization to the light control sheet 12 is started (the LED lamp 30 maintains the lighting state), the light control sheet 12 changes from the non-transparent state to the transparent state. As a result, the lid 10 is light transmissive except for the frame 14 portion. In this state, the inside of the storage portion 20 can be observed from the outside through the lid portion 10. On the other hand, a part of the light of the LED lamp 30 taken into the light guide 11 is concentrated on the edge of the recess 11a formed on the back surface of the light guide, and is reflected and diffused there, whereby FIG. ), The desired character 16 (COOL in this example) is lit and displayed. In addition, by increasing the voltage applied to the light control sheet 12 linearly up to the maximum voltage in a short time, an unexpected effect due to an instantaneous state change is produced while obtaining a fade-in effect.
When the ignition switch is turned off after the engine is stopped, the energized state of the light control sheet 12 and the LED lamp 30 is released, and the lid portion 10 becomes opaque again (milky white except for the frame portion).
As described above, when the ignition switch is turned on, the lid portion 10 is first decorated with line-shaped light, and then the lid portion 10 changes to a see-through state and a desired character emerges. As described above, the effect by the light is performed, and at the same time, the design of the center console box is enhanced as a result of the continuous and instantaneous change of the design. Furthermore, the effect of the convenience improvement by being able to confirm the storage thing in a storage part at the time of a driving | operation is also exhibited.

In this embodiment, the energization timing of the light control sheet 12 and the lighting timing of the LED lamp 30 are shifted, but they may be synchronized.
In this embodiment, the driving state of the light control sheet 12 and the LED lamp 30 is controlled in conjunction with the on / off of the ignition switch. However, the light control sheet 12 and / or Alternatively, the driving state of the LED lamp 30 may be controlled. Or you may control the drive state of the light control sheet | seat 12 grade | etc., Interlocking with or synchronizing with two or more in an ignition switch, a vehicle width light, and a headlight.

Another embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the center console box 2 according to this embodiment (corresponding to FIG. 2), and FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the center console box 2 with the lid 50 open. For convenience of explanation, the same reference numerals are given to the same members as those in the above embodiment in these drawings. In the lid portion 50 of the center console box 2, the left and right end portions of the light guide plate 11 are sandwiched between the frames 14, and the left and right end surfaces 11b of the light guide plate 11 are exposed. The LED lamp 30 is incorporated in the center console box body 40 at a position facing the light guide exposed surface. With such a configuration, when the LED lamp 30 is lit when the lid portion 50 is in the closed state, light is introduced from the left and right end surfaces 11b of the light guide 11. As a result, an effect by light similar to that in the above embodiment is performed. On the other hand, when the lid portion 50 is opened by the switch operation (FIG. 5), the front of the LED lamp 30 is opened, and the light from the LED lamp 30 is irradiated into the housing portion 20. As a result, the interior of the housing portion 20 is illuminated, and the visibility within the housing portion 20 is enhanced. As described above, in the configuration of the present embodiment, the light of the LED lamp 30 is used for two purposes, that is, decoration of the lid 50 and illumination in the housing 20, and the design and convenience of the center console box 2 are improved. Improvement has been realized.
