Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an inductor used in various electric devices such as a mobile phone, a personal computer, and a television.
In recent years, many inductors capable of withstanding a large current have been developed. When a large current is passed through the coils constituting these inductors, a large amount of heat is generated from the coils. Due to this heat generation, the characteristics of other electronic components placed on the circuit may deteriorate and adversely affect the entire electronic device. Therefore, it is required to efficiently dissipate the heat generated from the coil. Yes.
2. Description of the Related Art For the purpose of improving the heat dissipation of a coil, an inductor in which a resin is filled between a winding core and a winding wound around the winding core has been known (for example, see Patent Document 1).
As shown in FIG. 6, the
Since the
The present invention has been made based on the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide an inductor having high heat dissipation even when an open magnetic circuit is formed.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a substrate-mounted inductor having a conductive winding and a core around which the winding is wound to form an open magnetic circuit. A silicone resin is interposed between the winding and the core so as to contact within a range of 10% to 70%.
In such a configuration, 10% to 70% of the surface area of the winding is covered with the silicone resin, and the remaining part is exposed. Therefore, the heat generated in the winding can be released from the core through the silicone resin and can be radiated directly from the winding into the air. Therefore, it is possible to efficiently release the heat generated in the winding to the outside. For this reason, it is possible to prevent a failure of other electronic components arranged in the electric device or the like due to heat generation.
In addition to the above-mentioned invention, another invention is such that the thermal conductivity of the silicone resin is 1.8 W / m · K or more. In such a configuration, the heat dissipation is further improved.
According to the present invention, the heat dissipation of the inductor constituting the open magnetic circuit is improved.
Hereinafter, an
FIG. 1 is a side view showing the configuration of the
The
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the nail-
Around the outer periphery of the
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the
The
Next, the heat dissipation of the winding 30 when nothing was applied to the
The initial temperature of the winding 30 when no current was passed through the winding 30 was 24 degrees. Here, when nothing was applied to the winding
Next, the manufacturing process of the
First, a surfactant is applied to the outer peripheral surface (region to which silicone resin is applied) of 8 mm to 10 mm from the
FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the relationship between the thermal conductivity of the
In FIG. 4, the vertical axis indicates the temperature difference between the winding 32 and the
FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating the configuration of the
In the
Thus, the inductance value of the
Further, the inductance value is increased by 200 nH by increasing the number of
In the
Further, the
Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be implemented in various modifications.
In the above-described embodiment, the nail-
