Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an ink jet head manufacturing method used in an ink jet printer, an ink jet head manufacturing apparatus, and an ink jet head manufactured by the manufacturing method or manufacturing apparatus.
Conventional ink jet printers are printing apparatuses that perform printing by spraying fine particles of ink onto a substrate such as paper. A plurality of nozzles (or ink ejection holes) in this type of printer are arranged at minute intervals in order to improve the printing density. The nozzle is connected to a pipe for guiding a small amount of ink. Here, when this piping part is constituted by, for example, a pipe, it is difficult to reduce the size of the printer.
By the way, when a laminated structure having an ink flow path is manufactured by the above-described method, it is necessary to relatively position the thin plates. In other words, when laminating a plurality of thin plates while positioning them, for example, a positioning hole is drilled in advance in each thin plate, and a metal positioning pin is placed in the positioning hole of each thin plate. In the inserted state, a manufacturing method such as diffusion bonding of metal thin plates by thermocompression bonding is adopted.
However, in such a manufacturing method, the outer peripheral surface of the positioning pin and the inner wall surface (laminated structure) of the positioning hole of the thin plate are joined due to the diffusion phenomenon between the metal materials at the time of thermocompression bonding, There is a concern that the thin plate (laminated structure) side may be deformed when attempting to remove the positioning pins that have been joined.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and a plurality of laminated plates capable of forming an ink flow path after lamination integration are deformed or joined to a positioning member. An object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet head manufacturing method, an ink jet head manufacturing apparatus, and an ink jet head that can reliably bond each other in a state where these laminated plates are appropriately positioned.
In order to achieve the above object, a method of manufacturing an ink jet head according to the present invention includes a predetermined positioning member brought into contact with each of a plurality of laminated plates that are laminated while forming an ink flow path, and the laminated plates are separated from each other. A step of positioning in a direction along the surface, a step of partially temporarily bonding the plurality of laminated plates positioned by bringing the positioning member into contact, and after the laminated plates are temporarily bonded, Removing the positioning member that has been in contact with the plurality of laminates, and heating and pressurizing the plurality of laminates from which the positioning members have been removed, and joining the entire surfaces of the laminates. It is characterized by having.
Furthermore, in the method for manufacturing an inkjet head according to the present invention, the step of temporarily joining the laminated plates may be performed by spot welding, and a laser is applied to an end surface of each laminated plate including adjacent portions of the laminated plates. You may carry out by the laser welding implement | achieved by irradiating light.
Here, when spot welding is applied, the positioning member and at least one electrode for spot welding are fixed and operated integrally so that the laminated plates can be quickly positioned and temporarily joined. Is desirable. In the inkjet head manufacturing method of the present invention, the plurality of laminated plates are each formed with positioning through-holes, and the positioning member is a positioning through-hole of the plurality of laminated plates. For example, it is formed by a shaft that can be freely inserted and removed.
Here, in the present invention, the plurality of laminated plates are formed of, for example, a metal material, and diffusion bonding or the like is applied in the step of joining the entire surfaces of the laminated plates. In the inkjet head manufacturing method of the present invention, the plurality of laminated plates may be integrated with a non-product portion that is disposed further outside the outer shape portion of each laminated plate and is removed after the entire surfaces of the laminated plates are joined together. Further, the partial temporary joining of the laminated plates may be performed by selecting this non-product part. In this case, for example, a part that has been affected by heat due to temporary bonding does not remain in the main body of the laminated board that is the product. Etc.) can be prevented from affecting the bonding strength, etc. (decrease in bonding strength).
As described above, in the present invention, by performing partial temporary bonding between the positioned laminated plates, the positioning member that is in contact with the laminated plate is used in the main bonding for bonding the entire surfaces of the laminated plates. Since it can be removed, it is possible to prevent the laminated plate and the positioning member from being bonded to each other due to a diffusion phenomenon or the like during the main bonding.
In addition, the inkjet head manufacturing apparatus of the present invention is a positioning member that performs positioning in the direction along the plate surfaces of the laminated plates by contacting each of the laminated plates that are laminated while forming the ink flow path. A first joining mechanism for partially temporarily joining the plurality of laminated plates positioned by bringing the positioning members into contact with each other, and a temporary joining by the first joining mechanism and the positioning member being removed. And a second joining mechanism that pressurizes and heats the plurality of laminated plates and joins the entire surfaces of the laminated plates.
Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent a plurality of laminated plates capable of forming an ink flow path after lamination and integration from being deformed or joined to a positioning member. It is possible to provide an ink jet head manufacturing method, an ink jet head manufacturing apparatus, and an ink jet head capable of reliably joining each other with the plates properly positioned.

The best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view schematically showing a configuration of the entire inkjet head manufactured by the inkjet head manufacturing method according to the first embodiment of the present invention. 2 is a plan (top) view showing the ink jet head of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a view showing the bottom surface of the ink jet head of FIG. Further, FIG. 4 is an exploded perspective view showing the structure of the inkjet head of FIG.
As shown in FIG. 1, the
Further, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
Further, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a diaphragm (foil) 4 is bonded to each side surface of the
An FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) 5 in which a conductor pattern having a predetermined shape is formed is attached to the outer surface of the
Also, as shown in FIG. 4, one of the first flow path forming laminated
Here, instead of the above configuration, the sixth flow path forming laminated

The seventh flow path forming
Further, the ninth
By laminating a predetermined number of the first flow path forming

Further, when a drive signal is applied to the
Next, the manufacturing apparatus of the
First, the positioning and temporary bonding of the
That is, as shown in FIG. 5, a plurality of
Here, in the present embodiment, there is a manufacturing process in which the
Such temporary joining is realized using a resistance welding type
The
Further, the
Next, the configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 6, the
The high-
The
Therefore, when the
Next, the positioning pins 51 and 52 are removed from the through
In the manufacturing method of the

(Second Embodiment)
In the ink jet head manufacturing method according to this embodiment, instead of the resistance welding type
Here, the
Therefore, also in the manufacturing method of the ink jet head of this embodiment, the positioned
Although the present invention has been specifically described above with reference to the embodiment, the present invention is not limited to this embodiment, and various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the main body portion (product portion) of the
Here, FIG. 8 is a perspective view showing a base material plate for forming the
Therefore, by selecting the discarded
Furthermore, in each of the above-described embodiments, the positioning is performed by inserting the positioning pins 51 and 52 into the pair of through
